This is very enlightening and depressing. I always felt, if it went high up enough, the murders would never be solved. The fact is, they might already be solved to those who have no intentions of revealing the truths and "chess pieces" have all been rearranged and the game goes on. It's possible CSr and DR simply tried to do a little freelancing on their own. Still, not a reason to justify any of this and would explain, imo, why I feel CSr and DR were made to talk before being killed. I see no other reason for shooting DR under her chin but that she was being "grilled for information." What's more, if I could just get into the old Threads I know I could find where we discussed, at length, that JM found his sister on the floor (not in bed, appearing to have died in her sleep) and he stopped when he saw her legs and went no further into the house. I've looked on news sites and so far have not found this but I know I didn't dream it up and I can't say where we got that information at the time.

Edited to add: Ok, I found it using a general Google search using "J (blank) M (blank), legs" and, surprise... up popped up Websleuth itself. I will link the page here. The statement about DR's feet or legs is hearsay (still don't know from what source) ... JM's wife said-- he said to her-- that he saw DR's feet (I remember "legs" but I have not read all of our entries yet.) Without reading all entries on this subject, for all I know, we may have only discussed the idea that "seeing her feet" meant she was out of bed. Plenty of review to do.

The day Bobby Jo Manley pulled up to the Rhoden family property in April 2016, she saw two pitbulls. One of them was plopped down in a recliner. There was something funny about that. The dogs didn’t usually stay outside.

IDK but if I had cameras & dogs I would probably feel pretty safe/secure. As far as the dogs go who ever approached CR’s and gained entry by invite/force & the dogs were outside then all the suspects had to do was drop/ throw some meat/food to them and they would probably be fine. Iirc there were camera/s missing which to me would tell the way the home was approached, if not all were taken.

Dogs are not always dependable to let you know someone is coming. A rabbit or other animal can distract them.
One of the camera(s) taken was easy to see. One was under the roof of the porch. One, said to be in a birdhouse was not taken.

Exactly. Bold! Whoever murdered the Rs seems bold. Very bold. They were capable planning, and then "crawling" right up inside those trailers, with what seems to have been little problem. I see some sort of familiarity with the lay of the land at CR1's, and FR's, places too. Those two places would be a maze in the daylight, and would be difficult at best, to navigate, during the night, if one wasn't somewhat familiar.

Authorities have said from the very first press conference the killings were methodically planned, taking place in the dark of night while many of the victims slept. The killers stole past several dogs on the properties and there were no signs of forced entry.

After seeing the pictures of the actual 8 people of the family that was killed; I truly doubt that this was a drug hit.

It just seems like it was more about the pass down of property where all of those in possible succession had to be killed.

Plus of course some were just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

So this definitely seems like a land deal where someone tried to benefit by having most of the land passed down to them.

Inside a trailer at 4091 Union Hill Road, Frankie Rhoden and Hannah Gilley were fatally shot in bed. Their 6-month-old son was found between them, unharmed. Among the five bullet wounds to Gilley was one to her left eye.

I have to wonder about the shot under DR's chin. Also the POSSIBILITY that she was not found in her bed: (hearsay: JM's wife saying what JM told her what he saw when he entered DR's house) Holding a gun under someone's chin is a classic threatening gesture. This could have been done to terrorize DR and force her to tell her killers something they wanted to know. That shot under the chin might have been the very first wound inflicted in that case and the other 4 shots to the head just done in a rage... because I feel there's great anger and even hate in these killings. My theory is that both CSr and DR were questioned before being killed. Threatening the lives of CJr and HR might have been used to increase DR's fear and to force her to tell them what they wanted to know. But, if this theory is true, no matter what DR could say; it would do no good. This scenario really wouldn't add much time to the killings. It's possible what took the most time of all was finding CJr wherever he had hidden. One of the main things the killers had to consider was getting to each victim before they had a chance to call 911 and that's another reason I think there were 3 killers who entered DR's house. They knew ahead of time exactly who was in each home and I'm willing to bet they even knew exactly where each person slept at night. No groping around in the dark at all. CJr's room was in the back of the house away from the road... no problem turning CJ's bedroom light on if his "assigned" killer had trouble finding him either. There's a side road almost across the street from DR's house where a driver could wait until he saw some signal all was completed. That whole house could have been "taken care of" in less than 10 minutes.

Let's mix things up. What if the killings were not as professional as thought? What if the first killing was random. Let me float this theory and see what everyone thinks.

Killers go to CRsr's house to buy drugs/party/visit. GR visits a while then takes off to do whatever somewhere else. While the visitors are there, KR drops by to shower/chat. CRjr drops by to change a flat tire (his car was up on a jack in CRsr's driveway if I recall correctly) or get a ride home. FR and HHG get into an argument, FR comes over to ask his dad for a jump.

That would put one person from each house at CRsr's and in contact with the killers.

Much later, after all family members have gone to bed (maybe around 11PM) an argument breaks out and CRsr is shot, runs for the bedroom to get a gun, is shot though the door and incapacitated. The killers realize they have been seen by too many people and are going to be caught. They wait for GR to return home, kill him, then go to each home to kill the others who saw them at CRsr's that night.

This would explain the dogs outside, the earlier TOD for CRsr, and the reason for finding CRjr who we think was hidden.

DeWine may have to make an arrest in the R's murders to win.

Land can become a bone of contention, within family or outside of family. We have three children who have a claim to their grandparents' shares (all CR1's grandkids). The same # as would have inherited, if CR1 had lived. KR' has three kids, so that ads to the number of folks to deal with over the land. GR had no claim, nor did DR. So, buying out slivers, cheap, from grandkids, who may need the $$, may have been seen as an option, or a land deal was coming together and someone wanted it halted, for a long time. People will do horrible things to each other over much less.

I keep coming back to JR and McJunkin. Their arrests came from the investigation, they are they only other people that have been named in the investigation besides the W's and JM. JR and Mcjunkin were arrested for pills. I think pills play part, either one of or some of the victims were at least doing some sort of dealings with them.

Although I think the W's are the ones who could pull it off. If the 2 brothers and dad committed the "hits" and AW drove, if they were familiar with the properties (which we believe they are being 2 of the W's had close relationships with 2 of the Rs), knew the dogs probably.... left the state of Ohio for AK after in the fashion they did... man power, having reason for motive (child custody, Potential business involvements), it all just kind of fits. Of course with whats been given to the public about this case there really isn't a whole lot of other things to think.

What stumps this idea up is... What about people making calls to other people and passing on the news? For example, CJr goes home and tells HR who he saw at his father's house. FR could also pass on that information when talking with someone else. The killers would have no way of knowing who talked to who so killing everyone in the immediate family might not be enough people to kill. I noticed the photos of HR's baby shower showed an awful lot of "faces in phones." Off topic a bit but relates to my comment; I remember thinking about the baby shower; "So sad... here they had mere days left to be together and here it's a baby shower and everyone is in their own little world on their phones. If only they'd known what was coming..."

Yeah but its been reported GR was shot with a large caliber and you have KR only being shot once. I don't believe the killers used smaller calibers to keep noise down then rang out with the biggest gun they had on GR. That wouldn't make any sense. It was also reported that any of the shots received by DR would have more than likely been fatal. Why shoot her 4 more times if you are a pro and trying to keep noise down?

Hi everybody im new so please be nice. Iv followed from the first day and i have a few questions.
first do any of you believe this to be a random not thought out and a out of the blue crime.
Second could anyone narrow down the sort of people(more than one) capable of doing such a crime and the mindset needed to carry it out.
Third we all know the crime so when you answer the second question then what (or whom) benefited after said crime i think if we had a few more pieces that le is holding it would come together. Couple names standout but i believe one maybe 2 more are involved i havnt read or viewed anything in 2 years to proove me wrong in my thought im not comfortable in giving the names but if you answer the 3 questions then it really narrows down and leaves out many. i wanted to ask a few questions and maybe someone can change my mind. I dont know any of the people or the state involved im just following all of your thoughts. Thanks everybody hope le releases more and i hope its solved soon.
