I was curious about that yesterday too, but then assumed either they knew the family could not come up with the money so decided just to play nice with the prosecutors, or they think its actually safer for him behind bars (assuming he is in isolation as someone indicted for mass murder charges). Now that GW4's did ask for it though makes me curious again...

Just curious, but is there a link or source that FR had videos of cockfighting? not saying he did or didn't, but wondered if there is proof. TIA

ETA: If they were on his FB account, assume that's no longer available, so nevermind. He must have been interested in the awful sport or he wouldn't have been raising the birds, but IIRC, DeWine later backtracked and said there was no evidence fighting was going on at the properties.

It was still on his FB as of 2-3 weeks ago, re; a fight vid link, and a supplement shop, which operates out of the country. He was young, and sometimes folks have to mature a bit to see things for what they really are. It doesn't take away from the fact that his life was taken, or he loved his family, and it seemed he was a likable fella.

Maybe they saw the video of JW's arraignment and decided they were going block GWIV.

Probably trying to prevent the analysis of body language, but maybe also to prevent the digital footprint with respect for his son. SW is presumably well protected from seeing this media show in foster care, but BW very well could (and should) be back living with his mother (and step dad and sibling) and also in school and has much more of a chance to inadvertently see and hear things that could be upsetting for him.

Thanks! I didn't realize his FB page was still up. Agree, it doesn't subtract from him being an innocent person whose life was wrongly taken in such a horrible way. I always assume he was raising the birds for extra cash.

As with all the victims, they were never given the chance to grow older and succeed in life. They were all caring, hard working people who loved their family.

I thought that I heard that the state has information about multiple conversations other than the one that they referenced at FW’s arraignment. Wonder if LE had the Ws bugged in multiple locations. That could be damning evidence by itself as long as LE did everything by the book on the wiretapping warrants if that is the case. Could be dicey if it was CI information that LE has to back up those statements by the prosecution.

OSO T, At this level....no chance a CI could be the " reliable resource"... AC (the prosecutor kind of let that part slip out, IMO!!) I would imagine threats against LE and elected officials is a higher priority every where in the United States. What judge would not authorize a wire tap and/or other listening/monitoring on individuals who are already suspected of mass slaughter of 8 innocent people.

I suspect it's the idea that "someone's screwing with our family!!", and escalating delusion among people who feed on each other's anxieties, and don't have great internal resources to fall back on when things are frustrating/don't go their way as a unit.

BETTYP Only because I have "a friend"....(I will be distancing myself from very, very soon)....reminds me too much of many points about "psychotic clannish devotion to offspring, even when behavior is criminal." (in my "friend's case....no more money... spent every penny defending the out of control behavior of sons. It's probably much more sophisticated today, but the rules are still pretty much the same w/ regard to search warrants and probable cause. Considering they had placed GPS devices on James Manley and Jake Wagner's respective vehicles, they were probably also placing listening devices. Interesting, though, that they may have placed one at Flying W Farms. At this point, I'm not absolutely sure they did get evidence from a listening device as opposed to a CI. I'm going to listen again to the prosecutor's argument. She said GWIV was heard being one of the strongest in arguing to go after LE. That could have also been info relayed by a CI. I'm just not sure.
