The deceased male wore a Bulova Caravelle Quartz watch with a leather band on his right hand, indicating perhaps he was left handed, according to the release. The body was partially clothed in a red and black plaid flannel shirt, size medium, and white briefs, size 36.

Mike Coder, who is married to a niece of the Russells, says Mr. Russell was left-handed.

“He was left handed and frequently wore a watch,” he said.

Mr. Coder added there is no truth to reports the Russells family has confirmed the body was that of Richard Russell.

“We’re waiting just the same as you folks are,” said Mr. Coder. “We were told this morning that they had found a body and were trying to identify him.

Thanks to those keeping this thread updated. I've not seen any news today since I am babysitting. The Chipmunks and Spongebob are on here at my house.
I sure hope we eventually find out why he went after Tiffany and started this whole tragic chain of events.

Mr. Littleton is currently being held in a West Virginia regional jail. He has not been questioned since he was assigned legal representation at a hearing Thursday.

“Our access to him has been somewhat limited since he was assigned counsel,”
said Sheriff Smith.

Charges have not yet been filed in the Russells’ disappearance. Mr. Littleton has been charged with murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence and gross abuse of a corpse in the murder of Tiffany Brown.

Yep, no doubt that's why Littleton stopped talking to investigators. He was told to shut up by counsel.

Tn? Tennessee?? Really? Tennessee Sam? What happened to Georgia? He really didn't want the remains found. I hope that at his trial the LE outlines the cost of the search for remains Georgia. That should make the jury pay attention to this guy!

"The body was located off the roadway in the 3800 block of Lighfoot Mill Road, near the Railroad trestle on Saturday, Feb. 26, at approximately 1145 a.m. It appears that the victim had been at this location for at least 24 hours."

"One body was left in a cornfield and then (Littleton) says he was alarmed by some passerby, so he dumped the other near a railroad crossing," said Lowndes County (Ga.) Sheriff Deputy Troy Black."

I thought initially it was a cotton field? Or is it a cornfield? In any event, if, BIG IF, we believe SL told the truth partially, Gladis will be in a corn or cotton field. I pray they can find her.

Here's the railroad tressle spoken about in your post near 3806 Lightfoot Mill Road.

As for corn field vs. cotton field, there are several links on the thread from MSM that speak of cotton fields. Corn fields just cropped (oh no, an accidental pun) in the last few days in a quote from one of GA LE.

I'm thinking SL made it all up. I was going to call him a bad name, but resisted. Please feel free to fill in the blank in your own mind. :)

Wonder what they meant by partially clothed?

I don't know. That is strange. Previous articles mentioned a shirt, a watch, and underwear size. I don't recall seeing pants mentioned. I wonder if SL took his pants and wore them at some point. Geeze, he gets creepier and creepier as potential details emerge.

Wonder what they meant by partially clothed?

One of the articles says the person found had on briefs on the lower half of his body. Again, if this is Mr. Russell, did SL take the pants as a change of clothing. So bizarre.

[the victim] was partially clothed in a red and black plaid flannel Northwest Territory shirt, medium-sized, and white Stafford briefs, size 36.

No mention of pants in either place.

Lowndes County Sheriff Chris Prine said today that the body has not been positively identified as that of Richard Russell, but evidence has led Chattanooga authorities to believe it may be him.

I wonder what the evidence is

Correct me if I am wrong...but....did Mr Russell injure his foot/ankle recently??...Some sort of injury..so if true...he may be wearing a brace/elastic bandage on his leg/foot/ankle... just my :twocents:

Well, there was talk of a watch on his right wrist, in another article. They said that indicated a person is left-handed. Dick was left handed.

This is weird. Googling Dick Russell brings up a blog called Chattarati, and the blurb says the autopsy is complete. Id made comfirms it is Dick Russell and he had stab wound. But when you click on the link, you get a server error.

Officer Rebecca Royval of the Chattanooga Police Department said a press conference is scheduled for later this afternoon in Tennessee to identify the man, though Ohio authorities and Russell's family have said they believe it is Richard "Dick" Russell and were just awaiting dental records for confirmation.

Logan County Sheriff Andy Smith said just before 2 p.m. that officials back here in Ohio will have some new information shortly.
