Correct me if I am wrong...but....did Mr Russell injure his foot/ankle recently??...Some sort of injury..so if true...he may be wearing a brace/elastic bandage on his leg/foot/ankle... just my :twocents:

Yes I posted about the ankle injury a few pages back. A neighbor said Richard told him he slipped on ice while feeding the cats.

Luck had a lot to do with SL's successful run from Ohio. He was seen, noted, then passed over by LE a couple of times before they received word that he was absconding. But luck can turn. The male body was found on Sat. On Sun. the Tn authorities received a flyer about the missing Russell's. When they made contact with Ohio that began the talks about the Russell's.

I sure hope they find Gladis. They need to be laid to rest together.

Don't know if I can find it now but I saw where Tn is now starting searches. And one of the articles I read, Chattanooga I think was written in such a way that appeared to be an alert to residents to watch for a body to show up.

RIP Mr. Russell... Hoping they find Mrs. Russell very soon... Just so sad that one person has destroyed a bunch of lives in just a short span of time..

Here is one of the original articles about the finding of Mr Russell's body. He was thought to be an unidentified homeless man. It says he had no apparent injuries, he was thought to have died of natural causes.

So the knife wound on his body must have been very small, since it wasn't apparent when they first picked up the remains.

The body also suffered a stab wound to the chest. One of the men who found the body said it appeared the body also suffered a blow to the head.

This deserves the death penalty. To treat an elderly couple like this. Kidnap them: stab Mr Russell which is a painful way to die: leave him in his underwear by the side of a road and separate him from his beloved Gladis. I'm an MD and would be glad to pull the switch or start the IV. SHAME OM U!!!!!!!!
I have been mad since the beginning of thisw case but am livid now!!!!!!!

http://www.dispatch.com/live/conten...say-logan-county-man-was-stabbed.html?sid=101

Chief Assistant Logan County Prosecutor Eric Stewart said last week that he would soon seek charges related to the Russells' disappearance.

In the meantime, the governors of Ohio and West Virginia have been asked to step in to the extradition process and clear the way for Littleton's return to Ohio.

Hall said that once Gladis Russell is found, he will be relieved for several reasons.

"Once we find them both, that means (Littleton) has nothing to bargain with.," Hall said. "He'll have no more information that investigators want."

Sure seems like no deal was made, doesn't it ????

Yeah, but this worries me. From your article:
Smith said that if Gladis Russell isn't found soon, he may send his detectives back to West Virginia to see if Littleton or his court-appointed attorney will offer any additional information.

And since they mentioned that "if she was found that he wouldn't have anything to bargain with" in that article it sounds like they are considering it.

This is taking a huge financial toll, with searches in Ohio, Georgia and now Tn. And that doesn't even include the 'normal' costs of investigation, housing prisoner, and the trial. So yeah, they might be quick to bargain on this one.

All of this....for NOTHING...

3 lives taken....for what?????

Littleton....gained...NOTHING....

Without knowing more......it sounds like he just went on a ....killing spree...

To kill T.....for what???...To kill the Russells.....for what????

No rhyme or reason....just to kill them.....to stab them....with his beloved knives...
IMO...and my 2 cents..

Ugh. Those poor people. I hope whatever happened to them happened quickly and that they didn't suffer.

What is WRONG with people?

No matter how quickly it was done, or how he did it..... one of them saw the other die, and knew that was their own fate.

I was thinking maybe SL was just mistaken about where he was when he dumped the bodies.

But I don't think he could have driven the CAR up a HILL made of SAND.

So now, I'm wondering if he really did make the whole thing up...

Littleton put Richard and Gladis into the trunk of their Mercury Grand Marquis at their Bellefontaine home where they stayed until he dumped their bodies, police said.

Richard's body may assist investigators in the search for Gladis; her body likely will be found somewhere in the general vicinity, investigators said.

Littleton allegedly told Ohio investigators he remembered exiting off I-75 and traveling on a paved road before turning on a side road made of sand.

Investigators said Littleton told them he placed Gladis' body in a "white, glowing cotton field."

He allegedly said the sand road was at an extreme incline, possibly up a large hill.

Littleton allegedly told investigators a vehicle was driving toward him so he hurried back to his vehicle, traveled back on the paved road toward I-75 and dumped Richard's body.
