Yes, I thought maybe it was supposed to be "he" instead of "I", but then why would police go ask her about the girl if that was the case. It would likely be at least 3 years ago that this happened in Marion if they've been estranged for that long. Otherwise, SG wouldn't have known the mom was upset with her...jmo.

If the mom says there may be more, the detectives may have said something like that to her. They may know more and are unable to comment on it to the mom due to ongoing investigation. Jmo

Sounds like it to me too but I'm not sure I trust what what she says. If it's true, with his extensive record, I can't help wonder what happened 3 years ago that she cut him off? 2013 would have been when he was threatening his ex-wife and daughter with harm. I wonder if his mother took the wife's side out of fear for her granddaughter's life? Maybe she was forced to cut him off or risk never see her grandchild again? Just a theory, I have no idea.

I don't know if it's meant to read "he said he did it because he was upset with her" but she certainly seems to be suggesting that one of these murders was not that recent, at least 3 years ago.

He has charges/convictions in Marion from 1994 to 2003. After 2003 he moves to Crawford County. So, it's possible the 4th victim was killed sometime between 1994 and 2003, IMO.

That makes sense if the mom doesn't even remember the woman in question. If so, surely there has to be more.... good news is it seems he's talking

He spent the last three years mostly in Mansfield, Richland County or at least that is where his charges/convictions are. See my post above #305 for when he was in Marion. Of course, his mom may have always lived in Marion. Marion is where he graduated high school in 1995.

SG's mom sued SG and his baby's mother for custody of their 8-9 year old child in 2008. So it sounds like it's possible that she wanted better for his kids. Jmo

Oh, that makes sense! I had read that and her name before but didn't know who she was before this. Well I guess we can rest assured he didn't kill THAT baby's mom or his mom couldn't deny remembering her. I hope he keeps telling everything and never sees the light of day again.
 
Erm, I've seen a couple of posts saying "what is it with Ohio and serial killers?" And I've seen the stats saying Ohio is #35 on the Most SK's list, but it definitely seems to be top state as far as Websleuths is concerned!!

Go to the bottom of the index page you posted and sort by prefix. Then scroll through the pages until you reach OH. You'll see there are several more OH SK cases. Anthony Sowell and Michael Madison immediately come to mind.

I feel bad for SG's Mom too. There's not many real resources to help parents in these small towns and rural communities who need help with kids who have major emotional/mental problems. Then when they hit 17-18 years old, they leave home, and have little self-control. There's nothing a parent can really do quite honestly. You can't call up the cops and say that your kid has problems. Unless they actually commit a crime there is nothing the cops can do and if you call the cops, when your kid is acting out in your home, they just put them in jail. Like that's a big help. /s I don't know that anything would have helped SG, but, who knows?

I wasn't clear if she was speaking about herself or if she was speak for him, as in; Mom, I did it b/c I was upset with her.
 
There is an unsolved burned woman in that area, but I haven't been able to link him to that area. Only an hour away though.

No, not yet. His charges are in: Marion County, Crawford County, Richland County and Ashland County. He seems to have moved from place to place in roughly in that order. It seems his first charges in Ashland are the recent murders/abduction. He seems to have moved from Richland to Ashland very recently after serving his sentence for the whole incident in June 2016 where he fled from cops near the burned house. I wonder if he moved counties every time he killed or every time he got enough charges/arrests he thought the cops were close to being on to him?
