This man lives across the street from where SS's car was found abandoned.
"Phillips said Saturday that while he feels for Stanley's family, he takes issue with criticisms Ron Stanley, Stacey's uncle, made in interviews in which he contended that police didn't work hard enough to look for his niece. Phillips first shared his observations in a letter to the editor that appeared in Saturday's Ashland Times-Gazette.Stacey Stanley was last seen more than a week ago near a BP station in Ashland, after she got a flat tire. Her vehicle was found Sunday near Phillips' house.
Stacey's father "came into my yard and started asking me about the car," Phillips said. According to the Stanley family, Phillips said, "she called to let them know she had a flat tire, but she said that 'this nice man is helping me,' and that was the last time they heard from her."
Plus a flat out lie in the last paragraph...
"Though police managed to get to the house on Covert Court within four minutes of getting the kidnapping victim's call, the 43-second delay involved with the call transfers — during which the woman had to whisper "I've been abducted" to two different dispatchers — "was terrible, I thought."
