Hi all, I have been lurking this thread since it started and only now received posting privileges, so I am happy to finally be able to join the discussion (although I wish it were under better circumstances). I felt compelled to post because I am a local. I am from "in town" Metamora, roughly 5-10 min away from where Sierah lived (I'm okay revealing that because I have since moved), and attended Evergreen, same as Sierah and Josh. I was one grade older than them, but my life was touched by both of them. Sierah was in 2 classes with me and was the sweetest soul. Good grades, active in sports and clubs, and an all around gracious and kind person. My mom also worked with Sierah at a job Sierah had just during the summers. When we heard that Sierah's body had been found over the weekend, we were on a family vacation and silently cried together in the middle of a restaurant. Those last little shreds of hope we had were destroyed. We tried not to let it ruin our trip, but the mood was definitely somber the test of the time. In the school musical one year, Josh was my dancing partner and reflected those qualities of Sierah's as well. So sweet and patient, too (I was a terrible dancer LOL). My heart breaks for them- they were so in love. If I'm not mistaken they had been together since middle school, probably age 13. The hardest part of this experience was seeing people try to accuse Josh of being suspicious before JDW was arrested. I had to avoid looking at social media comments because it both enraged me and made me want to cry that people would accuse Josh of hurting her, when if you really knew them, you could literally feel their love radiate when you were near them. I knew he would never, ever hurt Sierah. This whole ordeal has rocked our community. I think of all the times I biked and ran alone on that SAME street all those years and want to break down and cry knowing that creep was there all along. I hate that Sierah had to be sacrificed for him to finally (hopefully) be put to justice. She, her family, Josh, and everyone who loved her did not deserve this. I hope the courts make the right judgement. Sorry for the super long first post- I really have not been able to properly vent my feelings about this situation until now, so thanks for listening :)

That was SO sweet of you to post all that. Bless you...

I see a Mark L. Powers in Wauseon Ohio, but don't see much about him. It looks like he had a couple of different websites set up, none of which are currently available.
Biggest case of his career I imagine.

If Steelman doesn't drop by give me a shout. I don't mind doing it for you

Go to it Skibidoo!! I also in a past thread gave the location of Jaso's body also. I will try to find it. We now know his location was Lincoln st. in Swanton at this time.

I can't seem to find anything on Attny Powers. Anyone else? Are we allowed to sleuth him?

I've been lurking here for a few days - I am also somewhat local (~20 minutes away from where this tragedy occurred). I echo the sentiments of the others in saying that I pray for Sierah's family, friends and loved ones who have to endure the pain of losing her in this fashion. I cried when they broke the news that she'd been found over the weekend. I also live in a rural part of NW Ohio - I run out here (no streetlights, corn fields), my kids ride their bikes and play with their friends, often until it gets dark and I have to call them in (again no streetlights) - I have never felt unsafe, but this incident has made me wonder if I've been too relaxed/lax about that kind of thing.

I just want to say that I have been a member of Websleuths for around seven years or so (usually lurking) and I have never followed a case with so many locals joining in. Thank you everyone for registering here and helping out on Sierah's behalf. We LOVE your perspective and participation! I am so sorry that it is under these horrific circumstances though. But thanks everyone for all you add to the conversation.....your knowledge is invaluable.

Hey Blondie in Spokane, how do you get almost 8,000 total posts by lurking? LOL just kidding. I enjoy reading your thoughtful posts, and agree... I have never followed a case with so many locals joining in. This is amazing and indicates that there are many members of a very caring and aware community that wants to show their love and support for Sierah Joughin and her family and friends.

Here's a handwriting sample of El Diablo, if any of you are inclined towards handwriting analysis.

Fascinating ...i am not much of an analyzer for this but what stands out to me is his added on parentheses (OWNER) when not needed and the " ETC ETC ETC" he added may indicate someone habitually feeling inferior and constant need and compulsion to reinforce himself , someone needing to make sure all things he says, does, feels is sure to not be overlooked ? And possibly further indicative of a person always needing to be in control of all aspects ?. Also of irrelevant note his writing looks almost identical to my abusive ex !

Hi all. I'm also local. My heart goes out to all of sierAh's family and friends. SierAh's death has traumatized this community. It's terrible and I hope justice will be served... I'm wondering if anyone has old pics of James Worley. Particularly around the yr 2000. TY

Is this serious? This is who his atty is? A specialist in debt relief and bankruptcy? Has he ever tried a murder case? Uh..probably not..much less a death penalty case. WTH is this? Is this going to be his game to win a new trial? That he had inadequate legal representation? Is this indicative of the fact that a plea is going to happen and no trial? I find this insane.

Seems fitting, JDW is a nonhuman predator; a creature bankrupt of all morals, and void of decency, empathy, and possesses no human emotions...
