Thank you for this! RG sounded much stronger than I expected... she did very well.

It has been a long time since I followed a case with a sequestered jury. The instructions the judge went over were quite interesting. I don’t expect it to take very long for a verdict

I am constantly amazed at how calm Workey seems, as though this is no big deal. Rarely, if ever, have I seen any emotion indicating he takes this as anything out of the ordinary,

Remember in his world he is innocent.

Quoted from THE SOCIOPATH NEXT DOOR by Martha Stout..."When confronted with a destructive outcome that is clearly their doing, they will say, plain and simple, 'I never did that,' and will to all appearances believe their own direct lie.'"

Read the book. Lived with one. Thanks for sharing.

Tires from Worley's red pickup truck did not match the casts taken from the scene, tires from his green truck *may have* created the cast impressions, though not those tires exclusively, Davison said. #WorleyTrial

I wonder how old that red pickup truck was. Back in 1989....my sister was out jogging on Fulton County Rd. K (between SH 108 and CR 16)....and she was literally chased by a man in a red pickup truck. Luckily, she was not far from home anyways and was able to run back into our house quickly. That red truck came up from behind her, crossed in front of her into a drive way.....because it was all right in front of her she felt threatened...and turned around and sprinted the other direction (towards home)....the red truck followed her. Like I said...she made it back home...but I think its very odd that this truck was red and Worley has a red truck. My sister said if she saw a picture of the truck that she would recognize it to this day!

When RG was nearly abducted in 1990, he had a red flatbed pickup.

Does anyone know the age range/composition of the jury? Speaking for myself, the concept of 'reasonable doubt' in the legal context is one that I have had to mature into. When I was younger, I would likely overextend myself to excuse behavior, reach for extenuating explanation, attempt to maintain optimism about human behavior. As I've aged (let's say early 50's to be kind) and been exposed to the larger range of evil in this world, 'beyond a reasonable doubt' is much easier for me to define.

This beautiful young woman did not handcuff and hogtie herself, crack her own skull, place herself in JW's creepy barn on his creepy air mattress, dress herself in his weird fetish clothing, and asphyxiate herself with a dog toy. There is absolutely no evidence anyone other than JW did any of these things. As to the unknown DNA: given the mistake/confusion made with MW's sample, I am much more inclined to say 'there is additional evidence implicating JW that the crime scene investigators didn't find or bungled' than to say 'someone else was involved in this crime.' Certainly far enough 'beyond a reasonable doubt' to find James Worley guilty all the charges of kidnapping, aggravated murder, abuse of a corpse.

Jury is 3 males and 9 females. Have not heard ages.

My sister said that it was definitely a red flatbed truck...that was 1989!!!

I recall we had extensive discussion about the red flatbed truck in these threads. I have been scanning them, trying to "home in" on the postings about this subject, but have not found anything. I think I remember that we had some photos posted as examples of representative flatbed trucks of that era here as well.

You (your sister) are not the first people I've heard encounter a red truck running them off the road inbetween the 20 years. He shouldn't have been able to run freely for that time.

The items I wish they would have found her cell phone, fitbit, or those red shorts that have been brought up that would more solid. Their DNA were found together, the key from handcuffs, and his scratches are enough for me to find him guilty.

Could she contact LE ?

The key to her handcuffs on his key ring.... how can someone have any doubt. IMHO This, to me, is so clear a case.

That made me shudder, SJCaseFollower. I wonder if she should at least report this to the police department to be on-file? I probably would, if it were me. If it was his truck she encountered, she is one very lucky lady. Give her an extra tight hug next time you see her.

Forgive me if I missed this - but was proof of purchase ever found on the gag item? Or evidence that connected it to Worley? Not going anywhere with this thought but just my curiosity.
I was just reading a trending article on a news app where convictions were won in a murder for hire trial in part due to intersecting phone pings and dna evidence at crime scene. I am optimistic for justice here.
