If that's true, he would have been what, 21 at the time of BG's murder? Which is possible. I wonder when the corner will release the cause of death for SJ because that will give us more info

She was strangled and had blunt force trauma I thought. Maybe that's a rumor and not reported yet. Idk.

I think it is incredibly unrealistic to think BG is a victim of this guy. Sierah disappeared from the far northwest corner of the state - literally just a few miles from the Michigan border. BG was found in the southern portion of the state. I'd guess about 4 hours away or so. Also, from the isotope evidence, etc., BG was just passing through and hadn't spent any significant time here. The odds of him just happening to be in that small town so far away at that time are incredibly remote. There are MANY other murders - solved and unsolved - that have occurred over the last 35 years in Ohio within a four hour drive of where BG was found. I have yet to see any reason why this guy is a more likely suspect than anyone else - he would seem like a much LESS likely suspect given his age at the time and the distance IMO.

Just to let you know that the towns really are not that far away...2 hrs and 6 minutes. Likely..no...but possible ...sure!

https://corporate.discovery.com/dis...riginal-content-for-2016-2017-upfront-season/

I don't know if this is the correct place to post this but ''Investigation Discovery'' has just released their lineup for their 2016-2017 season. There is going to be a new series ''JANE DOE FILES'' There's never been crime show about unidentified people that I'm aware of. I'm hoping since ID airs nationally and internationally this could break open some of these cold cases. If they ever do an episode on Buckskin Jane Doe, I hope they could intentionally re-air it in the North Texas and Southern Oklahoma areas.

JANE DOE DIARIES (wt)

Behind the discovery of every “Jane Doe” lie two stories: the story of the detectives puzzling together her identity, and the story of her family that has now lost her forever. JANE DOE DIARIES (wt) weaves the two stories together, taking viewers on a unique journey of discovery, loss, and resolution, challenging the perception of how we tell crime stories and parcel out information. I found this article interesting. They were strangled left with clothes on but barefoot.

Atlantic City Serial Killer Still Eludes Police

On November 20, 2006, two women made a startling discovery when they found the dead body of a woman face-down about fifty yards behind the Golden Key Motel in located in West Atlantic City. It wasn't long before police made an even more brutal discovery. The dead bodies of three additional women. Identifications were made on all four women. Kim Raffo (35 years of age), Tracy Ann Roberts (23 years of age), Molly Dilts (19 years old) and Barbara Breidor (42 years of age). All the victims were white females who worked as prostitutes and most of them had engaged in drug usage. Their bodies were clothed but they were all found barefoot. Law Enforcement immediately declared that the four were victims of a serial killer. Two of the women had been strangled but an examination on two others could not determine a manner or cause of death due to decomposition of the bodies. All four women also had children.
The motel where the women were found near, has a reputation of having prostitution and drug usage at it's location. If you have any information about this case please call the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office at 609-909-7800 or make an online tip at http://www.acpo.org/tips.html. You can remain anonymous. You can also call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-658-8477 (TIPS). There is a 25,000 dollar reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the killer.

Has anyone looked into nearest Amtrak stops around the Troy area?

Or as part of the Road Crew for a band - I was a bassist in a group that toured the country, and Roadies have a lot of work to do, and it has to be done quickly. You go from city to city every morning - but, the Road Crew is indeed well cared for (they eat well, get sleep on the bus, have their clothes washed for them, etc). I suspect BG was probably with a group, and not from the US.

Been thinking about BsG today, and especially the notable info that she was in "excellent physical condition", and that she traveled through the U.S. a great deal, and had quite a few scars on her body...including under her lip.

Now why would a fit person be traveling all over the U.S.? Her excellent physical condition suggests she was not homeless or working in the sex trade.
The scars don't seem as if they were obtained as a result of punishment. I took the description to suggest they were acquired through labor. So I'm going to run with that theme.
A young 20 something woman in excellent physical condition with several scars on her body who traveled all over the U.S.

I think she worked with livestock, and was traveling to livestock shows tending to the animals while in the process of being sold. Either for breeding or slaughter. The scars tend to make me think of horses. Scars from bridles, tack, etc.

But this is my theory. Fit ranch girl traveling around for livestock/ horse shows or sales.

She is from the US, hair isotope was done leading to Texas

Hi everyone. I have spent the last couple of days reading this thread and had an observation, not sure what good it might be though.

IIRC it was never said what she was strangled with. Is there a possibility that the buckskin jacket she was wearing had some type of cord / leather string through the eyelets? If it did it could have been thin enough not to show marks on the PM pic. Just a thought.

Hello, everyone. I've been a long-time lurker on Websleuths, and I've been keeping tabs on Buckskin Girl's case for about a year.

I noticed a few days ago that Buckskin Girl's page on the Unidentified Wikia site has an interesting note, which you can see if you hover over the "+" symbol near the top of the main image on the page:
"This case currently has a major lead being processed by investigators"

Has anyone else noticed this? Has the Wikia page had that comment there for awhile, and I just never noticed?
I wonder what it's all about.

I wonder how long it's been there and where they would get their information?

I'm skeptical that reprsents any actual new info. My guess is that someone there submitted an MP for comparison that they feel strongly about.

I'm skeptical as well. I was just wondering if anyone here had noticed it, or knew more about it.
I'm hoping that this is the year we learn her identity.
