Hi guys....been gone most of the day and just now getting in and trying to catch up a bit. Does this car actually have anything to do with this case? I thought all the vehicles were accounted for....

I enlarged the picture of the vehicle pulled from the water. There wasn't any tarp or covering on it. The top looks like it may have been white. The tires are intact and look like whitewalls.

Great pic, Leila...My hubby KNOWS car and he said this could be a Mercury, Crown Victoria or maybe a Chrysler....what kind of car did they mention in the presser...a silver compact? I'll have to go back and look.

It looks like a 1991 jetta here is a comparison Photo.

Wbns Channel 10 posted on the FB site and stated that the vehicle was not related to the case.

Second car has been found in quarry. Divers going back in...

UPDATE: VEHICLE RECOVERED FROM QUARRY

KNOX COUNTY, Ohio -- With the help of a tow truck, a dive team is attempting to recover a second vehicle from a quarry near Foundation Park in Knox County.

About 5 p.m. Monday, the team retrieved a four-door vehicle from the same area of the quarry. Authorities could not confirm if the vehicle is connected to the search for two women and a young boy reported missing last Thursday.

Could the car be covered with mud/sludge, instead of being burnt?

In the presser the sheriff said silver Toyota, and said they had the silver Toyota is their possession. It was impounded shortly after MH was arrested.

Wowsie. I'm beginning to wonder if someone in particular is missing a vehicle and LE knows about it and that's why they were searching the ponds/quarries so thoroughly. There was no mention of MH owning a boat so I kind of wondered why they were searching out away from the banks earlier today. It just almost seems like they were specifically searching for a vehicle rather than bodies or smaller evidence.

Thats what I was wondering. It seems like they are looking for a vehicle yet Ive seen no report that one is missing in the case unless MH had another one.

I'm thinking (and hoping) Hoffman didn't actually harm Sara, besides bound and gagging her, which is bad enough. They released her from the hospital after a few hours. I don't know what his long term plans were for her. Maybe he was holding her ransom? Did Tina owe him $ for some reason.

I catch myself holding my breath..... ransom is a possiblity, cant rule it out.

theres nothing live except scanner now? I would think they would be putting up some lights. otherwise wait till am.

There are a lot of horrific things he could have done to her that wouldn't have required an overnight stay at a hospital. I'm hoping he was simply holding her hostage, but - I've read too many other cases.

I am guessing that Sarah was the target of this perp. He most likely sexually assaulted her, which doesn't seem like it would out of character for him.....I don't think he has been arrested for sexual assault before but he has had some issues with assault and battery, arson, etc. I would say that Sarah was allowed to go home quickly because her injuries were not serious and because they felt it was best for her to be at home with her dad. These days, even people who have had major surgery go home from the hospital the same day or the next. Its amazing....

And is this the place the neighbor said he went and got leaves from?

I watched the news chooper video the whole time they pulled the first car

When the car first come out of the water I said it looked burnt but then I looked again and it looked like it had been tarped over. It never looked like moss.

Odd . I agree to many resources on scene for then to be 100 percent sure it is not part of the case.

I thought LE office scheduled removel of cars from water for certain times that allowed them to plan for extra man power and to train. It did not think it was find one pull it .

That was exactly what I was thinking....I thought all vehicles had been accounted for. Police have the Silver Toyota...at least that was my understanding....
