This case is in the Toledo area and the spreadsheet was recently updated to include that according to the "77 Plain Dealer article, Yvonne was last seen in the Port Clinton and Norwalk areas heading north on Rt 250.

[h=1]40th Anniversary Of Yvonne Regler's Disappearance[/h]

Dave Wadsworth, who was moved that day from the Fairview Park to the North Olmsted gas station, tells WTAM news his heart sank when he learned that she went missing. Wadsworth had dated Yvonne, and her disappearance still sticks in his heart to this day.
Fairview Park Police Lieutenant Paul Shepard says Yvonne's story has gone nationwide with her photo, both in 1977, and an age-progression photo, being featured on direct mailers that go to homes in a number of states. A year ago, Fairview Park Police said there was a person of interest in the case, but police are still waiting for the right piece of evidence or the right tip to indicate who that person is.

Could this serial offender have been involved in Yvonne's 1977 disappearance? James Dean Worley would have been only 18 years old at the time that Yvonne went missing, but at his arrest and trial for abduction and murder of another young woman, in 2016, it was apparent that had committed numerous other similar crimes over the previous years.

I remember when he killed the lovely young college student out riding her bike. So sad and a real monster. Good guess.

JMO, its possible he did this back then. I hope they're investigating to see which other crimes he committed. IIRC, he lived out in NW Ohio. If he was hunting for victims in large urban areas, he may have made a trip to the western suburbs of Cleveland, where Yvonne went missing.

He attempted to abduct another woman in 1990. She was also riding her bike, but she was in the area where he lived

JMO, whomever abducted Yvonne either had experience doing this or got really lucky. She was abducted on a very busy road where there's lots of traffic, businesses, etc.

FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio (WJW) – It’s been 45 years since 17-year-old Yvonne Regler disappeared from a Fairview Park gas station, and police are once again turning to the public in hopes that someone with information will come forward.

"We have asked for and received assistance from the FBI, Ohio BCI, US Marshals Service and the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children. We have been in contact with several police agencies throughout Ohio and across the United States inquiring about unidentified remains of females who resemble Yvonne with no results," Fairview Police said in a news release.

The department also provided photos of Yvonne when she a teenager, as well as age-enhanced photos of what she would like now.

Yvonne would be 62 years old today.

“This is our most prevalent cold case we have as far a missing person or a homicide,” Fairview Park Police Chief Paul Shepard said. “For 45 years, members of our department have worked this case from the day she turned up missing to just this week. We try not to forget Yvonne.”

“Over the years, there have been several people of interest,” Shepard said. “The problem we have is we don’t have her. We can speculate what happened to her but until we have here our persons of interest just say she ran away or had nothing to do with it because we have very little physical evidence.”

Earlier this month Fairview Park police marked the 45th anniversary of the disappearance of North Olmsted High School student Yvonne Regler, 17, from a Lorain Road gas station.
