Police searched a condo near Hefner Road and Meridian Avenue late Thursday night, hoping to find any trace of Anne Hill.

Authorities took the people who live in the condo downtown for questioning and also combed through their car for clues. Police want to stress that no one was arrested, and the people they served the search warrant on cooperated. As of right now, that search warrant and what exactly they were looking for has not been released.

According to the crime report, the night before she was “not happy about not being able to stay out with her friends longer.”

Police are treating the disappearance as a missing person investigation, but don’t believe Anne has been harmed.

If LE doesn't think Annie Jo has been harmed, do they think she's hiding? That is a bold statement to make when she's been missing for so long.

Why would she be hiding? I mean I understand that LE knows much more than us, but for this long and especially being on national news, not to mention people being questioned left and right?? If she stayed out longer than she was allowed to, okay, sure, but to be gone this long? Missing school and the chance to have her 'hated' braces off? That doesn't sit right with me. Maybe she hasn't been harmed, but I can't see this as a voluntary type of a thing given what we know.

Are there any ground searches scheduled? Anyone heard any word on that?

I certainly do not understand how LE can state they do not think she has been harmed...:banghead:

If she is being detained against her will....that to me is being harmed. I certainly do not think she has run away or is in hiding.

Well I like the optimism behind LE saying they don't thing Annie Jo's been harmed but we need to be realistic here.

A 16 year old girl isn't gonna just leave her car. She isn't gonna pass up getting her braces off. And her mother is right a child who doesn't wanna come home isn't going to call telling her mom about a job that would bring her closer to her.

I'm not sure what to think at this point.
I'll give LE the benefit of the doubt and say maybe they just don't want people to panic. But I'm not impressed at all with how many run always there are. And how they wanted to dismiss Annie Jo as a runaway. And now this.....ehhh Idk its good to see search warrants being done.

To expand on that if I may, if they don't think she's been harmed, why execute a search warrant? I mean obviously, they're looking for her, but...I don't know. I just wish we could connect the dots.

so if they don't think she has been harmed, and is 'in their opinion' a runaway..why serve search warrants, take people in for interview and take cars for inspection?

The warrants and interviews could be due to a suspicion she is hiding with older people, not necessarily harmed but not wanting to go home, for some reason. I think LE generally has reason for what they say, as so often, they say nothing. I know the age is different, but as in case of the nurse last month (Bahia?) LE seemed to think/know all along she was not a victim of foul and were right. So...hoping this is similar. Jmo

There's that statement again, in the first sentence, they just keep throwing it out there implying this is a girl who got ticked off because she couldn't have her own way.

And the second sentence implies they still believe she's just run off somewhere because she's ticked off, even after finding her car abandoned. But since Anne's disappearance has sparked so much interest they'll investigate it like people are expecting them to. But they don't think there's any reason to be concerned because she's probably fine.

Are you kidding me? :banghead:

http://www.news9.com/story/25346828/family-of-missing-teenager-hand-out-fliers-as-okcpd-investigates

Anne Hill, 16, was last seen at a party in Edmond on April 11. Friday, Anne's mother Lori, other members of the family, and friends handed out fliers around Bryant Square in Edmond.

ETA: Video is now available.

According to her mom, "She didn't tell me exactly who the friends were. I made assumptions, being her mom, on who those people were. Apparently, she left that group, was going somewhere else, never made it to the second location, never made it home, has never been heard from again."

So if I got this right she went to a party then left it and was never seen again.

That leaves me with one or two conclusions she either left that part and was abducted by possibly a stranger.
Or she was at that party and something happen and people are covering. Maybe drugs, maybe an older boy. Who knows.

I wish parents would learn to hold back that kind of info to LE when making reports because LE grabs a phrase like that and beats it like a drum from then on. I don't know of ANY teenager that likes not hanging out later with friends. Stupid thing for them to hang this case on at the moment.

She said she started hanging out with older friends and, when she was 11, she went with some of them to a party at an apartment in Tulsa. She said she was drugged and awoke naked on a dirty mattress inside a room she didn't recognize. The windows were boarded up and the door was locked from the outside.
