This is horrific! I can’t believe someone could do this, especially in the manner it was described.

It literally makes me sick. <modsnip - not victim friendly> I hope justice is given to all.

The poor baby…so sad! I hope Athena is found and laid to rest.

When I first saw Athena’s picture, I too thought right away that she was an abused child. So sad…..
 
Another thing I can’t seem to understand, if Athena was killed on Christmas, AA leaves kids with IA- why did IA leave with the 4 kids and have just Athena’s sister home alone? What did he think was going to happen with her? It’s not like she could take care of herself. It was only a matter of time before she left the home, was hurt, starved or someone else hurt her. But majority of these things lead to them being found out. IMO. Doesn’t make sense.

I felt the same about the DP until I heard the kidnapping and horrific murder of 4 yr old Lee Iseli back in 1989. There is no "reform" for such evil against innocent children.

ETA: Lee Iseli's killer was executed in 1993.
 
At least baby girl can be laid to rest properly .. I hope both non caregivers are charged with murder ,child abuse , and everything else they can .the female is just as guilty as the guy .to know what he did and to leave the remaining children with him just unreal. Jmoo

Doesn’t make sense is right! Hopefully LE will release more information once they confirm the remains are Athena’s. They’ve been pretty good so far sharing with the public. I don’t think we have the whole picture yet. MOO

I also hope more charges are in Alysia’s future. Like child endangerment, child abuse, medical neglect and anything else that would stick.

If you zoom out to the satellite view, there is a retention pond on the property, near the end of that gravel road, which is probably the one that LE was searching earlier.

‼️UPDATE: Alysia Adams appeared before a judge this afternoon. Her bond was set at $500,000 - with restrictions if posted. Alysia would be required to stay in Oklahoma, must wear a GPS tracker and could not have any contact with witnesses in the case. The latest at 4pm @koconews

I’m worried she cut a deal to rat out her ex hubby.
 
Reading the affidavit is gut wrenching. All I can think of is that my niece is the same age and I can't imagine hurting her. Just a baby. :(

Attorneys wanted a gag order in the case which has drawn a huge online following. The court wouldn’t allow cameras in or outside but KOCO 5 was in the room as Alysia Adams stood before a judge.

The bond amount was set at $500,000 at the Caddo County Courthouse as Alysia faced her fate. If posted, a judge ruled Alysia would have to stay in Oklahoma, wear a GPS tracking device and can’t have any contact with witnesses, some of those who may be her own children.

The district attorney also mentioned the felony charges is facing could be upgraded or additional charges could be added.

KOCO 5 will continue pushing for answers on the timeline of what happened. KOCO 5 reached out to the OSBI, asking questions about how the girls got into the care of the Adams family but haven’t heard back.
