I am still relatively unclear on what the consensus is here wrt the spoken word of NS.. I will say that in my very honest and humble opinion that NS does seem, to me, to be totally sincere in what are her clear motivations for having relentlessly kept searching for her friend&family..and that the motivation appears, to me, to be in no way whatsoever beneficial to her as far as there being any personal gain from it other than just to find her friend&family..

So, with all of that said, according to NS the Jamison's computers were never seized and searched by local LE or the FBI.. and that along with seemingly everything else, the Jamison's computers were given, or taken from the house by Star where they've remained..

Without NS's contributions, we would know very little about who Sherilyn and Bobby were as human beings. The sensational stuff like "demons on the roof" and the "hate letter" would be pretty much all we'd have to go on, so her input has been of tremendous value to me.

I'm not sure if or how well the Jamisons' computers were checked out by LE. Seems like a no-brainer that any missing person's computer is potentially a valuable source of info and worth checking thoroughly. NS has one of them now, given to her by Star, and was asking for help to figure out what was on it not too long ago. Kinda bummed that I'm not more of a "techie" so I could offer to help, because I'm not far away and would absolutely love to see what info is in there.

The FBI did have the computer, I know the hard drive had crashed, so I am not sure what all they were able to recover.

I don't know about any consensus but I have 2 very distinct impressions of NS, (1) Wow she does this like its her job (literally) and (2) She wears her heart on her sleeve but absolute genuine concern for her friend and her friends family. I find her input and the FTJ website extremely interesting either way

A friend of mine I went to school with k-12, who was also a FB friend committed suicide a while back. As soon as we all heard we searched her FB to look for anything we might have missed and we all found ourselves looking at a post she made 7 months prior to her suicide that said she was looking forward to spending "ONE LAST" birthday with her husband.

I could be wrong, but the choice of words stuck out, could be a coincidence though.

Just had a "duh" moment and finally realized that one of the interior photos of the truck is sideways. Here it is right side up:

Now it makes a little more sense. The unzipped soft-sided blue cooler is sitting upright instead of on its side. It supposedly had melted ice in it that the dog was able to drink. And possibly a package of hot dog wieners. I'm just... not clear on that.

Thanks for flipping that.... it did raise another question for me though. If the Jamison's were driving away, why would that cooler be placed in floorboard allowing no leg room? Not saying she couldn't have been in the back seat but normally people ride in the front. So the placement of the cooler is hard to reconcile for me.

I think things were moved around quite a bit before LE took these photos. Remember, it was near dark when LE arrived at the scene on October 17, and it looks like full daylight in the photos so I'm pretty sure they were taken the next day. I do remember some mention of a bystander holding a flashlight while a deputy rummaged through things in the truck.

IIRC, NS said she also suffered from bipolar disorder. That may account for typing in all caps and mood swings and not being clear on details. If I am wrong please correct me.

That aside, I do believe she truly loved her best friend and has done everything she could to try to help locate them. I can't imagine how hard all of this has been on her. I don't know too many people who would still be so dedicated to finding their friend after 4 years. For that she should be commended. She is one of those rare "True Friends". :clap:

I would say I am one who usually does as well, however, given that she is so closely tied/involved in this case-I absolutely read them.

Much of this post has been previously discussed so I apologize for the duplication.

I keep trying to sort out in my own mind what most likely happened to the Jamisons. The distance along the trail from the truck to the camp where the remains might have been found is approximately 5.3 miles although the distance as the crow flies is only 2.7 miles. The sun set at 7:14 pm on October 8, 2009, and the moon was at 80% illumination. I couldn't determine the cloud cover from the internet, but the sun seems to be shining in the picture of Madyson sitting on the rocks so I'm thinking that it could have been a fairly clear day.

If the Jamisons left for a hike after taking the picture of Madyson, it is probably safe to assume that they began walking no sooner than 3:00 pm which is just a few minutes after taking the picture at 2:47 pm. I would expect a hiker in decent shape to average somewhere between 1 and 3 miles per hour depending on the difficulty of the terrain, and I would speculate that the Jamisons would have walked near the lower end of that range because of Bobby's presumed disability and the fact that they were accompanied by a young child.

To arrive at the camp by sunset on the 8th the Jamisons would have had to know of the camp and its location and then walk directly to it from the truck at an average speed of 1.25 miles per hour with no rest breaks. This would require them to deliberately continue to walk away from the truck during the hike when it was obvious that there wasn't enough daylight to return to the truck before dark. This plan would not be consistent with them leaving their money, gear, and the dog in the truck which suggests an expectation of a short hike.

This scenario does not seem probable because it would require such an unlikely chain of events including very irrational thinking by both adults. This seems to suggest that one of two things happened. They either started out on a short hike and got lost having to spend one or more unexpected nights on the trail before they ended up at the camp, or someone transported them to the camp. If they got to the camp under their own power it seems possible that they died of exposure, murder/suicide or some other calamity including the possibility of being murdered by another person who encountered them at the camp. If they were transported to the camp, murder would seem to be a probability.

Unless they had a large amount of money with them after leaving the truck it doesn't seem like the possibility of being murdered is high because of the lack of a motive for murder by people with the opportunity to commit the murders.

It would be strange to me if their murders were committed at the camp, since that would seem to be a relatively visited area in those hills, and their remains would be found by a camper sooner than if just dumped in the trackless woods.

That petition is interesting. My understanding of a petition is that it contains the allegations of the petitioner before the defendant has had an opportunity to tell his side of the story. It is also interesting that the judge who listened to both sides of the story dismissed the case, and it is even more interesting that the judge ordered the plaintiff to pay at least half of the costs. The order doesn't seem clear as to whether each of the plaintiffs were to pay one half or if young Bobby and elder Bobby were each to pay one half. I thought that a protective order case would be dismissed only if the petitioners didn't prove their case, and it seems odd that the defendant would have to pay anything when a case is dismissed. Also, in the case of protective orders I thought that I heard somewhere that when a protective order case is dismissed that a petitioner is only charged with the costs if the filing of the petition was frivolous. Young Bobby sued his father for some employment related allegations so maybe he was trying to build a case for some other type of lawsuit – he did make allegations of being struck by a car driven by elder Bobby. I'm not convinced that we can rely on statements made by the Jamisons regarding money or real threats against their lives as always being true.
