TRUCK FOUND/911 CALLED
Hunters on four wheelers found the truck near Panola Mountain. Beauchamp said a resident in the community of Red Oak called 911 Saturday to report that the abandoned truck was found. "(They) knew that the vehicle had been there for a while because they had spoken with that family on the 8th and the morning of the 9th," Beauchamp said. Based on that, the truck may have been abandoned for up to eight days. http://www.4029tv.com/news/21387742/detail.html

At first, Beauchamp said, it appeared the family had become lost because they were not at the location marked on the map, but investigators recently learned the site where the truck was parked was a second site where the family was looking for land. http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90523&page=6

FAMILY
Charla Heffley. Bob Jamison's cousin. http://www.newson6.com/global/story.asp?s=11377285

Connie Kokotan. Sherrilyn Jamison's mother. Says FBI has closed the case and it is now considered a cold case (as of December 28). It appears that they walked a few feet from the truck and something happened to them. http://www.koco.com/news/21397440/de...tml#COMMENTTOP (comment in story at http://www.koco.com/news/21397440/detail.html) Kokotan also says investigators are looking for a man who lived with the family last summer in their Eufaula home. http://www.newson6.com/global/story.asp?s=11377285

Doug Duncan. Sherilynn Jamison’s father; he lives in Oklahoma City. As mentioned here .

Bobby Dean Jamison. Father of Bobby Dale Jamison. Had a protective order against him (filed by son) in May, but it had been dismissed and appears unrelated to the disappearance of the younger Jamison and his family. http://newsok.com/authorities-seek-c...#ixzz0bc4UHgNx Living in nursing home since August; died December 10, 2009. http://agentfuneralhome.com/z_Jamison_BD.html

Scarlet Jean Jamison. Mother of Bobby Dale Jamison. In May, Bobby Dale Jamison filed a civil suit against his parents for more than $10,000 for the loss of money to which he said he was entitled when his father sold the family gas station. In the suit, the missing Jamison alleges his father enticed him to work for free at the Oklahoma City gas station, but with the understanding that one day, the son would have a half-interest in the station when he was older. http://newsok.com/mud-slows-hunt-for-missing-three-in-southeast-oklahoma/article/3411584

FRIENDS/NEIGHBORS
Victor S. Principal of Eufaula Elementary School at which Madyson was a kindergarten student there. http://newsok.com/search-for-missing...#ixzz0bcPPGdU8

Niki Shenold. Sherilynn’s best friend. The two met in 1998 in the metro, bonded over books, and the friendship took off. Shenold says, "Our daughters were born exactly one month apart and they were best friends as well." The Jamison's had a lake house in Eufaula and loved it so much they moved there full time. Shenold says, "They were good people. People are speculating about drug deals and this or that, but they just were people trying to live. I don't know what to think, I mean it's as if they stepped out of the truck and vanished." After weeks of unsuccessful searches, Shenold says she's convinced the family is gone for good. She says she wants to grieve, but can't because she does not know where Sherilyn, Bobby, and young Madyson are located.http://www.kfor.com/news/local/kfor-news-missing-eufaula-family-story,0,1686074.story

LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES
FBI and OSBI called in to assist with investigation. http://www.ktul.com/news/stories/1009/670854.html The FBI, OSBI, and a number of state agencies are working on this case, but authorities are worried about the family of three who disappeared in such a tough part of the countryside. Panola Mountain sits in rural Latimer County, covered with trees and surrounded by grasslands. http://www.newson6.com/global/story.asp?s=11356491 and http://www.koco.com/news/21397440/detail.html

Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Also involved with the case. http://www.4029tv.com/news/21387742/detail.html

LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL
If you have any information about the whereabouts of the Jameson family, please contact the Latimer County Sheriff's Office at 918-465-2161.

Chuck Wells, Sgt. Stated that the family’s white pickup was found on Panola Mountain, near Red Oak. Law enforcement officers found the pickup Saturday parked on a dirt road in an isolated area near a well-site where a natural gas drilling rig had once been, according to Wells. http://www.mcalesternews.com/homepag...adpicturestory

David Cogburn. Red Oak police officer who took part in Saturday’s search and who says he will continue searching until the family is found. http://www.4029tv.com/news/21387742/detail.html

Israel Beauchamp. Sheriff of Latimer County.

Joe Hogan. McIntosh County Sheriff . Said his deputies had checked the family’s home near Eufaula and found nothing amiss. The Jameson home had a home security system with some video on it, Hogan said. Law enforcement officers have also looked at the security video, but found nothing to help them solve the mystery of where the family is, according to Hogan. http://www.mcalesternews.com/homepag...adpicturestory

Matt Bohn. Latimer County Undersheriff.

SEARCHES
Authorities have called in both the FBI (web) and the OSBI to help with the search for the Jameson's. They will join 6 cadaver dog teams, planes, helicopters and just under 100 searchers. The search will resume on Friday on the ground and in the air. According to volunteer searcher, Jordan Coffey, the terrain is difficult for anyone. "Probably a lot of hurt, you know. Legs hurting, back. They said that guy had back surgery, so up there he wouldn't be able to get around very far," explains Coffey. http://www.ktul.com/news/stories/1009/670854.html

On Saturday, a multi-agency search was conducted. Helicopters and an airplane were used during the search operation, which was called off on Monday. Red Oak police officer, David Cogburn took part in the search. "We roamed a large area (with) rough terrain," said Cogburn. "(We've) done a lot of searching through brush and (have been) down ravines." Cogburn said he will continue searching until the family is found. http://www.4029tv.com/news/21387742/detail.html

Texas EquuSearch. EquuSearch was contacted by Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), who asked for their help in a search for a missing Eufaula, Oklahoma family. Bobby Jamison, Sherilynn Jamison and Madyson Jamison disappeared in Latimer County, and authorities are now searching a rural area near Red Oak. http://texasequusearch.org/2009/10/o...a-ok-family-2/

Hundreds Help Search. … more than 100 people will search an area of Latimer County today for a missing Eufaula family. The terrain the searchers will face is described as rugged and rural. "You know it is mountainous terrain and there are people that live up there that have been lost before," says Bryan Deatherage. He is superintendent of Red Oak schools and the nearest community to today's search. http://krmg.com/localnews/2009/10/mo...search-ru.html

Search for family accelerates.Undersheriff Matt Bohn says because black-powder hunting season begins on Saturday, it will be too risky for searchers to look for Bobby, Sherrilynn and 6-year-old Madyson Jamison. The undersheriff says about 100 searchers were scheduled to comb through the Panola Mountain area near where the pickup was found, while helicopters and a plane search from above. ://www.newson6.com/Global/story.asp?S=11373775

Searchers had hoped the drones, fitted with photographic equipment, might be able to capture an image of something that searchers on the ground might have missed. “We used the drones and took hundreds of pictures,” said Latimer County Sheriff Israel Beauchamp. “We came up with nothing.” Beauchamp said the FBI and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation are helping with the case. More than 200 volunteers assisted with the massive search on Friday, including members of the Texas Equusearch Mounted Search and Recovery Team.http://www.mcalesternews.com/local/l...300110700.html

Is this confirmation without confirming?

I think based on the location it is probably a pretty good chance. I am hoping that this really kick starts the investigation again as to what happened to them. I have always felt that they never left the mountain.

this is so sad,i remember watching this on disappeared.

really alarming that the mcstays and jamisons are found within a week of each other.

I can confirm that three sets of human remains have been recovered from Panola Mountain. I do not believe that LE has put any information out to the public yet. The OSBI and Latimer County Sheriff have contacted those close to the case.

Thank you for this information, mtrooper! You're an angel!

I think the discovery of the Jamison family will get plenty of national attention tomorrow. I am sure LE will hold a press conference, and news tends to be slow on weekends.

BREAKING: OSBI says no ID yet, but looking for link to missing Eufaula family -- Bobby, Sherrilyn & Madyson Jamison

BREAKING: Hunters in Sans Bois Mts found the skeletal remains of 2 adults, 1 child. FBI, OSBI & local agents investigating.

BREAKING:Skeletal remains of 3 ppl found in Latimer Co. No ID, but found in same area where missing Jamison family truck was found in 2009

Also I noticed that it was "partial remains." I wonder if that means that animals made off with the teeth, and that's why they talked about DNA testing? :\

from dical99's link:
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was on the scene Sunday a few miles away where deer hunters found skeletal human remains in Latimer County.

OSBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Gary Perkinson told News On 6 it will be a while before positive identification is made, but they appear to be partial remains of three people.

According to Perkinson, the remains were found a few miles south of Kinta, near Red Oak, where a vehicle belonging to a couple and their 6-year-old daughter was found abandoned in 2009.

more there too

And welcome to WS, great first post.

It is really quite bizarre that both the McStays and the Jamisons were found within the same week. Great for the family members left behind to have closure!

May they all be resting in a place of peace :heartbeat:

BREAKING: OSBI says though no ID, they've notified relatives of the Jamison family about the discovery of skeletal remains in Latimer Co

Unbelievable.

Two families - missing just over four years and just under four years each - gone missing four months apart, are found in less than a week's time.

Heck, it sounds like it will be confirmation on both being found in just over 4 days time.

The first new source saying it was the McStays for sure was the 11 pm news on the 14th, the presser being 12 hours later on the 15th.

Even though they're talking about doing DNA testing on the bodies in OK, I suspect we'll hear it's them for sure within a day or two also...which would put that right within four days.

Really...unbelievable!

Also I noticed that it was "partial remains." I wonder if that means that animals made off with the teeth, and that's why they talked about DNA testing? :\

Just found this article that indicates at the bottom that they may have to use DNA and dental records, so it's possible they did find teeth, not sure why that wouldn't make the process go faster though, like in the mcstay case
