Regardless of who discovered the body, the question still stands. I wasn't insinuating the persons that found the body were involved. The fact that there were three of them, (man, woman, and child) makes it even more coincidental. Who started them on that path? Why did they pick that section of woods?

Coincidences do occur but to just write them off as such (in a possible criminal case) would be doing a disservice to the investigation.

Personally, I wouldn't take my wife and daughter anywhere near where a family of the same composition went missing. With or without firearm. Everything is suspicious in this case

Is there anybody who would profit from them being found, identified and officially declared dead rather than missing? (Apart from giving closure to the family that is.)

So either the calls weren't listed or the phone was off or??

Within approximately 3 hours of being on, on the 12th, there were 2 phone calls out and 2 phone calls in. No calls in between incoming? The phone was either off or it was on, if it was turned off and then back on the 12th you have foul play IMO.

"Scouting the land"-it could be they recently bought the land or renting it for hunting for the 1st time.

I thought about the dog stepping on the phone but that model blackberry has small buttons(tiny ) which were harder to press then say a flip phone ,maybe if there is a short cut key .

OT - reminds of my cat Noodle. We were at the veterinarian with our other cat, when his phone rang. He looked at it and said "It's from your house". We all looked perplex, there was noone home! He picked up and only heard silence. When we got home, we saw Noodle sleeping on the phone - she had dislodged the handset and speed dialed the doctor! :floorlaugh:

I think it might stand for Bristow, Oklahoma which is about 2hrs from Red Oak, Oklahoma

My best guess for why it changes to BRISTO is because when they're up in the mountains the phone might have went into roaming, using towers owned by another cell service for a signal. So when you call voicemail using a 3rd party's towers it might show up differently on the log.

Is that call log pulled directly from the phone or from the records from the cell company?

Ok, best evidence it wasn't the dog is that supposedly the dog was in the truck since the 8th or 9th. So 3 or 4 days into the dog finally gets to the area of the truck that has the phone and calls TWICE on the same day but not again for the next 5 days? Also, how long were the calls? If both calls were approximately tue same time and long (as in the recording hung up) then maybe. But if they are different by more than a minute or so then you have to believe the dog also hung the phone up. Make sense or am I rambling?

Yeah, I have thought about that being a possibility-but I would think there would be a tower much closer than 2 hrs away-I think the Jamison's lived like 30-45min away from where the truck was found. After glancing at the info provided on the phone calls and pics I put that info to rest in my head at least and didn't put a whole lot of emphasis into them after that

As far as where the info came from regarding the calls made now I don't know where people have gotten this info or whether it's credible.

mtrooper was able to get copies of the phone records from the Latimer County sheriff.
