Nipp arrested, then released on bond

Capt. Ronnie Hampton, commander Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop F, Ardmore, confirmed Nipp's arrest shortly after 2 p.m.

"He's being booked into the Carter County Detention Center right now," Hampton told The Ardmoreite, adding the U.S. Marshal's Service had been "making inquiries" into Nipp's whereabouts in both the Ringling and Leon areas throughout the day. Hampton said Nipp's relatives in both Carter and Love counties were being encouraged to provide information concerning where the 22-year-old man was hiding.

Sheriff Joe brought him in. He has to do some serious lying now to keep his mom and aunt out of jail.

Why am I not surprised to hear that he was probably "escorted" in by this Sheriff. Uggggg. I have a bad feeling that unless the DA + prosecuters really get all their ducks in a row, that somehow we will still never find out what happened to those 2 people.

I hope I am wrong and hope that LE can leverage what they do have to get to the truth of what happened to those 2 people.

Another side note.....We learned the other day that Colt was probably the passenger, so it makes sense that he had leg/ankle injuries if he was in the front seat.
I think it is very possible that both of them passed away due to their injuries and somebody did a coverup job of the bodies so as to not be blamed for their deaths in the accident. JMO of course and nothing to base it on, other than we have never heard from them since the accident, other than alleged phone calls which I am not convinced about either. That accident sounded pretty severe to me. Sometimes the driver can brace themselves more than passengers because they know instantly what is about to happen to the car, where the passengers have less reaction time since they are not in control of the vehicle.

I think Colt probably did pass away from his injuries, and his death was why MM was killed.
They have had 6 months to get their story straight, the only one that is not family connected (so far) is SF.I think they missed a huge opportunity by not keeping her in jail for some time. Let her get know what it feels like.

Notice the dirt on just the top part/side of the hole. The bottom side on the way down shows scorching, but the top side on the way down shows dirt that was not burned. This tells me that the fire was mainly at the very bottom, and as the flame shot up the hole, it only burned the lower side edge of the hole. Most likely because the wind was blowing that way.

I don't buy that this was just used to burn out a tree stump. I go back to our original guess that a backhoe with an auger bit drillled the hole, and the fire was mainly at the bottom, with plenty of fuel kept pouring down it to keep it lit. Since fuel would be needed to keep it going since no oxygen hardly got down at bottom, it would need fuel down there to stay burning.

I think we heard it burned for days and days. Somebody was fueling that fire pit hole IMO.

Yeah, I was researching the rash of arson fires in that neighborhood for the timeline when I found this pic of the article. I'd read it once online and later searched and searched for it but it had vanished and I never could find it again. Just really interesting to read, comparing how the hole was described to the picture of how it actually looked.

Still waiting for news from Con's hearing today to get sorted out so we'll know for sure what happened. There's a fresh entry on his eluding charge that says amended information was filed. Not sure what that means.

Con was arrested today for parole violation and immediately bonded out, laughing and smirking the whole time. Should be some video of it on the news tonight.

Next court date January 22.

Bonded out again, JEEZ. I wish they could find something to nail this dude to the wall and keep him in jail. Who in that family has the money to keep handing over to bond him out? How do bonds work in OK? Is the person who pays responsible for a percentage of the bond amount, the whole amount, or what?

It is so upsetting because we have people in jail/prison that probably should be out and given another chance, and then there is a case like this where this person has done everything in their power to be thrown away with no key, and they seem to get to "walk" each and every time.

Something is not right about this, and I suspect it has a lot to do with certain LE relative.

Seriously wish someone would wipe that smile off his face!!

Charges ramp up against Nipp

Conn Nipp went into court facing a felony endangering others while eluding/attempting to elude a police officer Wednesday afternoon. He left the courtroom with a ramped up charge that could cost him 2 to 10 years in a state prison before he even gets to preliminary hearing on the charge that links him to the disappearance of Molly Miller and Colt Haynes.

James Conn Nipp Appears In Court

"I pray that when Conn sees my face, that God puts it on his heart to come forward with the truth with what happened to Molly," said Garrett Lambert, Molly's brother...

"There is information that they were still together after the police chase," said Paula Fielder, Molly's cousin. "It's just a matter of time before all that information comes out. He just needs to tell us where she's at."

<snip>

"Working together is paying off, we're getting somewhere," said Lambert. "There's some kind of, not satisfaction, but we can hold our dignity, hold our heads high that we're getting somewhere."

Seriously wish someone would wipe that smile off his face!!

Just sickening. I sure hope some undeniable proof turns up, something so strong that the LE won't be able to overlook it regardless of family relation.

Wow! I hate to say it, but I think this tree stump burning had something to do with Molly's disappearance. My reasoning: there seems to be NO reason to have burned that stump. Were they farming that field? Were they removing it for oil pumping equipment? Were they removing it for a lawn? IMO, I don't think so.

I don't believe there ever was a stump.

I don't believe there was a tree stump either. Sadly, I fear that burning hole holds evidence.. Whether it exists or not anymore, I am not sure. I am also scared that they will never find either body.

What a sick freak, smiling, its all a game.

How can someone bond out on probation? I have never heard of that happening! They usually at least sit until their hearing!!

Wow! I had a LOT to catch up on since I've been gone the last 2 weeks! Thank goodness for the arrests, but seriously?! Bonded out? They need to be busy interrogating him for days on end until he breaks. Very interesting about the phone calls to CN's aunt and mom immediately after the chase and crash. Very suspicious. If SG did not call CN himself (wouldn't that be natural to try to call the person that has your car), then that puts her at the crash, IMO.

I think you're onto something though! We weren't really allowed to discuss her for a long time either, so we really didn't. Her posts after something that would seem traumatic to the rest of us, don't seem to bother her one bit. That's a scary trait in a person, or she thinks, "if i ignore it, it will go away" Hard telling.

I really don't think they would have arrested her if she didn't know more. I also believe LE knows what she knows (and knew before they arrested her). what she did was a crime and one that couldn't be "proven" the day they went missing....however, what nipp did was a crime back in July. Very Messy!

I always thought she could have been "molly" on the phone, making those calls in those very early hours. Wasn't the phonecall around 6 or so (i'll have to go back and look)...the very same time she was 'checking' on her car. Even the frantic one, people watch a lot of CSI type shows and do know some very minor tricks in trying to cover their tracks.

Sorry for all the quotes....those are supposed to be my fingers "quoting" for you all haha

I agree with ALL of this, especially the possibility of her being "Molly" in that phone call. It just doesn't make sense that Molly wouldn't be more frantic and adamant that her friend (the guy on the other end of that 6 am phone call) help get her out of that situation and either pick her up or get someone out there to pick her up. If I was involved in a police chase and then an eventual crash, I would imagine it would take days to finally mellow out after that.

I can see how one would think if "Molly" placed a call at 6 am, and seemed to be fine, it would hopefully "prove" she was fine well after the accident and CN would be in the clear. Giving someone every reason to act as Molly in hopes of covering for Conn or whomever.
