Oh, that would be awesome, if true.

Getting started on the transcript now.

I sent a few messages to some sleuthers I have a lot of respect for and invited them to come and take a look at this case and give opinions/insight. I'm off to finish up the timeline. Speaking of which, there's not a lot that has actually been released by MSM.

TIMELINE - most based on what has been reported by MSM.

June 28, 2013 - last time Molly's family actually spoke to her.

July 6, 2013 - Molly & Colt at a home in Ardmore, OK. LE checked with this home after the missing person's report was filed and resident stated they were fine then.

July 7, 2013 - Approximately 10:30 pm, a stolen 2012 purple Honda did a "doughnut" in front of a Wilson police officer and a pursuit entailed. The Wilson police officer pursued the vehicle to the Love County line. (Wilson is in Carter County). At that time, Love County LE took over the pursuit, but lost sight of the vehicle on Long Hollow Road and called off the pursuit. **it should be noted that according to locals, Long Hollow road is well known as a dead end road with a gate at the end. - reported by NewsOK on 9/14

July 8, 2013 - Molly Miller placed a 911 call at 12:57 am. The call lasted 5 seconds, but Molly never spoke. The call went to Marietta dispatch. The dispatcher did try to call Molly back, but she didn't answer. ***According to family, no officer was sent to the 911 hangup even though Molly's phone pinged off of towers at Pike Road and Long Hollow Road.

July 8, 2013 - Colt's family reports that he called several friends and said him and Molly were in a creek bed between Pike road and Long Hollow rd and that he had a broken ankle with the bone sticking out. They report that friends drove up and down the road yelling for him and honking their horn, while they had him on the phone, but he never heard the horn honking from his location.

July 8, 2013 - Molly's family report that Molly called some friends saying she was on Pike road and needed a ride.

July 8, 2013 - Molly's family report that, according to phone records, there were 33 text messages sent from Molly's phone overnight. However, Molly's family question if it was actually Molly that was sending the messages.

July 8, 2013 - Molly's family file a missing persons/runaway report with Wilson Police Department. Verified by Wilson Police Chief, Felix Hernandez.

On or about July 22, 2013 - Car was found abandoned in rough terrain in western Love County. Had run through a fence and over small trees and brush. Found not far from where chase ended. No blood or other signs of foul play on the car. - Reported by NewsOK on 9/14/13

July 26, 2013 - LE no longer consider Molly a runaway and changed her status to Missing Endangered - KTEN10

July 27, 2013 - search conducted starting at Black Gold Casino and heading down Oswalt Road. - KTEN10

August 2, 2013 - Massive two day air and ground search - Ardmoreite

August 7, 2013 - Another search starting again at Black Gold Casino.

September 11, 2013 - Officials met at Carter County Sheriff's office with Molly's family. David Seals, special agent with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) said they have tips that Molly & Colt are alive and well in north Texas, central Oklahoma and southern Oklahoma. He also stated that they also have tips that they are deceased. - KTEN10 9/21/13

September 24, 2013 - Search conducted near Pike road. Deputies stated when they got to the location, they found a 10' hole that was on fire. Tip came into Molly's family from a man that said he smelled a dead body. OSBI, local LE and Oklahoma Highway Patrol participated in the search and took samples. - KTEN10 9/25/13

October 4, 2013 - News9 reached out to the driver of the car for a comment. Request for comment had not been returned and driver had hired a lawyer. - News9 10/4/13

***I will probably find more to add and if I do I will edit, but I wanted to get the bare bones of this case up.

7 guests reading. Please feel free to join in. Would love some locals input on the area around Carter & Love counties.

Thank you windstorm and okiegranny for all your work!!! You both rock!

So, with the ground samples (if they were taken and taken properly) --- anyone know how long those results would take to get back?!

This is an interesting article I came across while looking for the answer to the question I just posted lol It's about looking underground for bodies, weapons, etc

Aw, thanks, StacyMarie. :blushing:

Making good progress on the transcript but nowhere near finished. Since I'm still (relatively) new around here, I could use some advice:

1. We aren't allowed to post full news articles, just excerpts, so would this transcript of a radio interview be considered equivalent to a news article? So I should only post excerpts on this thread?

2. If I can only post excerpts here, where's a good place to upload the whole thing so I can post a link to it here?

3. Is it okay to use [the driver's] initials in the transcript even though he's still not officially a POI? Because, obviously, his name is spoken frequently throughout the interview.

Good questions! We should get a mod to come in and answer them just to be in line with the TOS. Let me see if I can find Cat or Bessie or somebody online.

I am from nearby and have been watching this case closely. It stuck out to me because it's getting quite a bit of attention in the local area (at least on FB) and because I was looking at land close to the area in question about a year ago :notgood:

I have nothing to add, just that I really hope they get solid leads to go on and a clear path soon. It makes me so sad to see the struggle the families have gone through.

There has been a psychic there from New Mexico (I think that's where he's from) and he posted that he was glad to be leaving "broke meth mountain". How bad is the meth problem there???

Could these two have run off to be together?

That seems highly unlikely at this point.

Yes, and no.

The only evidence they have that something terrible happened on that night is the 911 call, that Molly must have said something, because they are saying that WAS her making that call, but the 33 text messages/calls after that weren't her. They have the driver making comments about not wanting to go to jail, but again, is he just covering for them so they can be somewhere together? Just shooting the bull to make people think he's so big and bad? Or did he really do something to them? "IF" he made a comment to family stating he did something, and they didn't beat the truth outta him right then and there, again, I say they have more patience and will power than I do. And wouldn't those statements be enough for a search warrant? Someone claims they have injured or killed someone, and that person is missing, seems to me it would be enough for them to act.

There's a few things I don't like, and referencing to the media reports, and family statements on the fb page. Multiple comments about not being able to search the land, however, from reading other reports, the land was searched in the beginning. And while corruption runs deep, would the entire family, and community lie to cover up for a known drug dealer? Doubtful. Not sure about Molly, but Colt and the driver both have multiple convictions. Small town, so I'm sure most know about them. So back to a post I made earlier, why was Molly with them? I haven't looked to see if she has a record, well nevermind, just remembered she's 17, so it's likely juvenile if she does, and wouldn't be able to see it.

This is going on 4 months though, and evidence is deteriorating each day!

BBM

I noticed that as well. Also noticed Colts family posting comments on news articles stating that he is just as important, and his family just as worried. I wonder if there is a reason why all focus on Molly. Maybe because she is still a minor and Colt is not?

IMO, it is because she is a minor.

I have never heard of so much insanity.
Wouldn't LE call the fire department out? Fire Marshalls?
Isn't there enough probable cause for search warrant ?

Agree with a lot of this. I posted earlier about Colt's convictions, but took the post down as it may not have anything to do with this current situation. The family has said that Molly has ran away before, so it isn't too far fetched to think that may be what happened this time. We need to remember to keep all options open and continue with all avenues.

As far as the land having been searched. It has been stated that SOME of the land has been searched. The family that owns the land gave permission early on to search a small section of the land, but said they needed a search warrant if they wanted to search more of the land. Why the family that owns the land is making them get a search warrant and why they haven't obtained a search warrant is beyond me!
