The mother of 7-year-old Kyron Horman accused the missing boy's stepmother Friday morning of kidnapping the child and called on her to confess to investigators during an emotional press conference in Beaverton.

Desiree Young said she believes Terri Horman conspired with another, unknown person to abduct the boy, who has not been seen since June 4.

Happy Birthday sweet Kyron!

The last time I heard of this happening (buying school supplies, saving a desk in the classroom, etc.) was with a missing little boy in Idaho. That little boy was found safe and returned to his saved desk! I hope the same can happen for little Kyron.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Investigators on the case of missing Portland boy Kyron Horman said Wednesday they have decided to pursue a course to support a conclusion and that their focus was being intensified, shifting the case to a task force-style investigation.

Multnomah County Sheriff Dan Staton said they would be moving to a task-force, more like a "business plan," to better utilize resources in the case and release some in order to maintain the effectiveness of the department, in a news conference Wednesday afternoon.

Staton, who choked up several times while speaking at a press conference, added, mysteriously, that police have uncovered information in the case that they wish they didn't know about.

"I think there will be things that will come out of this investigation that will surprise you, that you'll think about later on, after it's over," he said. "We have a knowledge of things we don't want to know about. We have knowledge of things we wish we didn't."
