I'm glad you're out there researching some of these cases! :)

Yep I had a long lazy day. I am just absolutely floored at the lack of information out there about so many of these cases. Some of them I searched and searched for and found NOTHING. It's heart-breaking.

I've done the same and know exactly what you mean. :(

Stephanie's information has been removed from the NMCC and Polly Klass Foundation websites. Would they do that without having located her body? I thought that even if someone was convicted of a missing person's murder, as long as there was no body the missing persons sites usually stayed up?

RIDDLE, Ore. (AP) -- The mother of a Douglas County girl who went missing nine years ago hopes a newly launched Web site will persuade her daughter's abductor to reveal the location of the body.

"It's not like they're going into the cops and confessing, they're just telling me," Christine Condon said of the site, http://www.findstephanienow.com .

Stephanie Condon of Riddle was 14 when she vanished from a family member's home while baby-sitting on the night before Halloween in 1998. Douglas County authorities suspected foul play and have been investigating ever since.

The Web site is one of several efforts made this year to keep the case fresh in the minds of the public. The sheriff's office flooded the county with posters, the local Cold Case Squad was assigned to help with the investigation, and a reward of up to $20,000 has been offered by the FBI and a private source for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

The Stephanie Condon case is one of those that has haunted me. To have your child just disappear without a trace is the worst thing I can imagine.

Stephanie's family will be holding a candlelight vigil at Riddle City Park tomorrow night at 6pm.

Investigators searched a nearby pond last week still looking for clues in the ten year-old case.

BREAKING NEWS: Dayton arrest connected to 1998 Oregon girl's disappearance

Prayers with the family.

ETA fROM LINK ABOVE: A cadre of Oregon officers that were at the Lyon County Sheriff's substation in Dayton this morning declined to comment on Hill's arrest, but one of the men confirmed they were members of the Douglas County Oregon Sheriff's Office, FBI and Oregon State Police.

Hill is being held on $1,132 bail. It's not clear if he will be charged with the disappearance and suspected murder of Condon.

Dale Wayne Hill is described by Douglas County authorities as the prime suspect in the case, and the last person to see Stephanie Condon alive. He was paroled on October 1, 2005.
He is currently living in the Glide, Oregon area.

The cause and manner of death has not yet been established. Stephanie’s remains continue to be examined in an attempt to make that determination.

Stephanie has been one of my pet cases for years - I can't believe they've finally found her. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

Oh my goodness-looks like there will be a measure of justice.

Authorities in Nevada say they're holding a suspect in the death of a 14-year-old southern Oregon girl who disappeared about 10 years ago while baby-sitting a cousin's twins.

Lyon County sheriff's Lt. Rob Hall says Dale Wayne Hill was arrested Wednesday on a charge of failing to register as a felon. A background check revealed the alleged error after investigators from Douglas County sought assistance.

Authorities say Hill was a suspect at the time Stephanie Condon was reported missing on Oct. 31, 1998. Her remains were found March 13 by a man walking his dogs on a logging road.

Prayers for Stephanie's family, may they find peace of heart and justice.
