Lilibet,

THANK YOU!!!!! You're a jewel. Thanks for your postings and keeping on top of new developments. Just wanted to be sure you know how much you're appreciated.

Thank you.gif

Wow that is really strange because I associate that song with this case every
time I hear it on the radio!

I think someone else posted the song here months ago. It certainly fits, doesn't it? Actually, in addition to fitting how we are still watching Ames, it may also reflect how he felt about and acted toward Stephanie. He strikes me as a very controlling man.

:loveyou: Thank you Rainy. What a beautiful "card", and with a Stephanie butterfly too!

Believe me, I probably wouldn't still be here just talking to myself! :-) The input and support for Stephanie has been what keeps me here. Her family and friends deserve answers. We may not be able to provide those answers, but we can at least not let her be forgotten. Thank you all for helping with that. :tyou:

Be sure to come back later this evening for the second part of Roma's special report.

My computer specialist (the one Sissy and I sent the ruined Mac to) told me that the hard drive was "completely intact" and that "any good mac guy could get all the information off of it." Unfortunately, Detectives didn't pick up the computer from my Mac guy until 3 WEEKS AFTER I told them about it! After I called the mac guy to confirm they'd picked up the Mac, I became hysterical - called Henderson and told him that maps, information, SOMETHING could be on that Mac, that he HAD to take it to the forensics lab. It was picked up that afternoon. I've no idea if it ever made its way to the forensics lab. I pray that it did, but I was never told one way or the other.

Thank you all for holding Stephanie in your thoughts and your prayers. I am heartened that the news stations have picked up her story once again and have actively been sending information directly to major news media in the hope that she will be FOUND. I pray for peace.

Here you go Websleuthers. You are part of the story! You have hung in there for the past year. Take a bow. :takeabow:

Thank you Roma for caring and for working so hard to give Stephanie a voice. You have been amazing! :tyou:

P.S. Could someone please send the links to both stories to OUOTP on Stephanie's FB page? Thanks.

THANK YOU LILIBET!!!!!!!!!!!! OK, I just sent the link to OUOTP for the 2nd part of Roma's report that came on tonight. I am looking for last night's link and I will send it too.

A few highlights from Roma's story:

A nice section on Websleuths and an interview. She emphasized that people from all over the world have been involved in Stephanie's case because they care.

Stephanie's sister Sharon was featured again. Thanks so much Sharon!

Detective Henderson confirmed for the first time that they did search Applegate Lake, and have repeatedly searched Stephanie's property and other areas. They continue to monitor her banking and social media.

He said that Ames leaving the area and not assisting when someone he loved is missing is unusual. He won't say what evidence was found at Ames' camp that links him to Stephanie's disappearance.

I particularly appreciated his final comment about it boiling down to what he would want LE to do if a loved one of his was missing. Thanks Detective Henderson!

I have a question, if they know the car was driven the night of the 4th, can't they get DNA from the mouth piece that need to be breathed into to start the car? Also, fingerprints? Hopefully the forensics will help in this case. Also, I would like to make a special shout out to Dicentra. I know the 4th had to be for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers all the time. Good to see you back on here! We will never forget Stephanie! And Lilibet I forgot to tell you---YOU ROCK TOO!

Thanks so much SadEyes!

You're welcome Lilibet. Oh, Lilibet I need to ask you --- With this new format on the WS, I am having weird things happen. For instance I don't have a "thanks" button to hit on some of the post. Are we only allowed to do so many "thanks" in one day or something? Any idea why that is happening? And, if I am dormant for about 5 minutes I need to keep signing in again.

Dicentra,

If I recall correctly and it has been a long time ago, but I think I remember reading somewhere something about the computer being brought to a high tech crime lab or something like that and that it could take a long time to get the data off of the computer. I am racking my brain trying to remember how long ago it was, but it was here on WS. I will have to go back to the 1st thread to look for it. I will try to do that tomorrow.

I've noticed the same thing with the "thanks" button. If I refresh the page it seems to come back.

When you sign in, be sure to check the "remember me" box under your name. It may be a little hard to see.

Here is the link to ask questions or browse for answers about the forum upgrade. I think it's still being tweaked, as new stuff often has to be. :)

I remember that too, SadEyes. Have a look at the Media thread link I posted along with Roma's posts last night. It will be easier than pawing through the first or second thread.

One thing we can be sure of is that LE isn't going to reveal publicly whether they found anything helpful on the computer or not. :)

Regarding the DNA and fingerprints, I'm thinking they would be mixed with Stephanie's. Perhaps something was used on the mouthpiece to keep DNA from transferring. Also, Ames' had a legitimate reason to be in the car that day, so anything they found might not prove anything. JMO

If you remember the OJ Simpson trial with all the DNA evidence, the jury ignored it because the glove didn't fit (don't bloody gloves shrink?). :banghead:

Thanks for stopping by, Dicentra. I thought of you on the 4th. I can't imagine how hard it was for you, Stephanie's family and other friends. Hugs.

Three tweets from our beloved mod Kimster, @KimsterWS, an hour ago with links to Roma's Stephanie stories and this thread. Thank you Kimster!
