I still think he might have had his motorcycle parked somewhere as a mid-point. That would explain the two small gas purchases so close together.

I think you might be right! He could also get home quicker and not be seen the helmet would hide his face.

Those pictures (with the lapel badges) are from District Conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses held yearly in the summer, over the course of 3 days. There are smaller assemblies throughout the year also, 2 and 1 day on those.

I have no idea on his work, but any of the pics that they were dressed in a suit/tie/dress could be any service throughout the week (2 times) or one of those occasions.

Thank You!
That's what I thought but just wanted to ask.

It's going to be very interesting once more info comes out. What did he do that day? How did he get home after leaving the car at Walmart.

Maybe Whitney and Colt's wife were friends?

Hm, from looking through Pinterest, AH 'follows' the woman we thought was JDH's mom (someone Googled and posted a photo a couple of threads back). Her initials are NG. Assuming she remarried, or it's not his mother and a different relative.

Don't want to link anything if it's not allowed.

Some comments in this article have raised a few questions in my mind (and you have to wade through a lot of extraneous junk--sorry):

~ curious the distance the JW church is now trying to take concerning this attender of their church ("irregular attender"); JW members are assigned churches geographically, so that any JW at that apartment complex would also go to their church. Someone who was considered "not a regular attender" would be termed "inactive" or "weak" in this faith...and a step away from being considered apostate (if he admitted not believing anymore, or not following the governing body of JW). Things do not necessarily go well for those apostate in this belief system.

This is not true. This senseless killing has NOTHING to do with any religion. Let's not lose focus here.
and for the record, that is not what "inactive" or "weak" means in that sense, and it certainly does not make one "apostate" or anything else you have said. =) I am not trying to offend you, I am just letting you know you have been misinformed.

You are wrong, but, we are not supposed to discuss religion here. I am new & will gladly go on if it is allowed?

I also think the gas purchases are weird. In Oregon, there is a gas attendant and you either say fill or a $ amount. So it's not like you can just suddenly stop pumping gas and leave like if you were in another state.

I believe LE has stated there was only one gas stop. IIRC the other gas station report came from a friend of Clints. The attendee thought they recognized the SUV and a young gal in the passenger seat. Easy mistake in my opinion when you work where many vehicles and people pass thru. This is my recollection.

Whitney went to Springwater Trail High School. For those of you that live in Gresham, it's just off Palmquist and Hogan. It must be relatively new...my son graduated from Gesham HS, and except for Barlow and Reynolds, I never heard of this one.

I had posted an article upthread, somewhere, and a neighbor said he never took his helmet off, just wore it into the apt. And she thought it was strange.

I think he had been watching her too.

I disagree, many think he planned this, therefore looking for first degree, but motorcycles get like crazy MPG, hard to imagine a perp with a motorcycle and needing to fill up mid crime spree.

I would like to verify, also that this is absolutely false.

I'm going to say that you're correct.
I agree with you... It IS a matter of perspective.
Everyone looking at the same exact thing, can see it differently.

I personally see JH's boyhood home as being not as attractive as the other houses on the block.
I don't think that it's just because it's void of flowers and bushes. The lawn is in poor condition.
It just doesn't have a happy home feel to ME. That's my opinion only.

Just a note about this particular neighborhood (I know it well), the houses are truly spotty in this area. Some are super nice, some are middle of the road, and some are unkempt. And then some are like this one - very bare bones. I think the video showed a bit more of it which gave it that depressing feeling. It IS depressing - but it's not the only one in the area that is. I would be depressed living in the neighbor's house too - the one that has known Holt since he was 7.

My first thoughts about Holt's house in the video were that it was clear neither Holt or his brother were doing things to help the parent's (how old are they?) in that regard - a simple wooden porch built in a single weekend and a few plants would make all the difference in the world. Then again, perhaps they had a childhood where the last thing they want to do is go help there. Or they had the sweetest parents in the world who got stuck with a bad seed.We have no idea one way or the other yet.

I'm about to reply to another message below about Holt's wife. She is now a victim too. I can't imagine being her during all of this.

My theory on the gas station is that only one stop was made. The crime had been committed. Whitney only lived minutes from work and maybe very low on gas that morning. Yet enough to get to work and a gas station. Not enough gas for Holt's plan. He realizes this. Uses her card to throw LE off a timeline and/or make it appear she was alive longer than she was. Only for his benefit of course.

I thought so too, then I thought what a great excuse to use
to lure her.

OR if a friend had to pick him up the bike would need to be on "E"

He could have said something like...
I ran out of gas last night left my atm card at home yesterday...
It's right by your work, can you take me to my bike?

Regarding his parents, it looks like his mother was NOT JW. From the obit of her father, he came from Italy (I think) and was a practicing Catholic. His father must have been JW and his mother coverted?

I'm purely speculating.

JMO but crime happens in all religions but its more rare for it to happen within the JW community sadly people are crazy all over no matter what faith and religion I dont think ne one is distancing themselves from the situation but I think more so what they meant is that he doesnt attend regularly I dont even know if he was baptised or not but it just lead me to understand he had some association with the JW faith but not a lot? He did get married at a hall but I just took it as he wasnt active meaning he didnt do witnessing and probably didnt go to bible study or any of the other meetings maybe showed up for passover and that was it? i dunno.

It's across from the soccer fields, sports park area. I always thought that was the alternative high school. (alternative meaning people that had some difficultly within the standard high school setting.) Looks like from the district school page that it's not the alternative school that I thought it was.
