P.I. Says He Videotaped Area Where Caylee Was Later Found #2

Are we debating as devil's advocates here today?, I find it interesting that posters are throwing out totally speculative theories to explain away DC's actions -- which are highly questionable (from his own words) -- and yet choose to not given the same credence to the MR -- seeking to throw him under the bus as a villain. Hmmmm.

I have seen several posts defending meterman and questioning DC.
Anyway, DC says he was out there taking pics to check out if it was a teen hangout. Why, was he working for the Tobacco and Alcohol Bureau trying to crack down on underage drinkers and smokers? I would think Mr. DC would be pretty busy trying to track down the person with the photo of Casey and the infamous ZANNY THE NANNY to waste time on such trivia. After all, it has been quite some time since this photo, like the nanny, was alleged to exist. Since he stated himself he was the only PI working this, what with the above and also sightings of alive Caylee in TX, PR, NY, NJ, etc. etc., when did the poor man ever sleep? Talk about an overachiever. I think he's just jealous because some meterman no one ever heard of before came in and stole his thunder.

I think that the body was moved to the location near the Anthony house. I don't know who moved her but I have read several accounts from neighbors, searchers and others in the area that the body wasn't there. I remember reading that all of the media parked right alongside the road where Caylee was discovered. Many of them said that she was so close and they were there day after day covering the story that they would have see the bag.
I think that forensics will prove that she was moved. If Caylee had always been in that location, she would have been found long, long ago. I'll go out on a limb and speculate that Lee moved her. He was just to anxious to have communication through writing with Casey. They had to some how work out the move.
I think that the body was originally found at Greenwood (apparently they thought she'd be found quickly there) and was later moved. The woman who found remains and clothing there told the detective that the skull had duct tape on it (I've seen the sworn statement). At any rate, that area was put under video surveillance.....so it's only a matter of time before the culprit is revealed.

Private detective Dominic Casey spent weeks as Casey Anthony's bodyguard, and also worked for her attorney, Jose Baez, until October.

Baez issued subpoenas to several media members, including Local 6 News.


Baez said he is fighting the gag order request because it is his right to respond to any leak.

The sworn statement was not posted any where (although a copy of the police report was, in the parking lot).I have investigated the Greenwood link on my own since October and have had personal contact (and have therefore seen the document) with the woman. She stated that there was duct tape oround the skull in October, it IS in the statement. She also told the detective that the rest of the remains were in the water at Greenwood. We do not know if the police retrieved them immediately or they set up surviellance (as the stated they were doing) and watched someone else retrive them. My bet is that they have someone on tape.

I'm guessing if they set up surveillance they would have gotten impatient by now and exhumed the body themselves.

The fact is that this PI went out on the line and said he said he had a video and now it is erased-regardless of the meter man. If Casey wanted to distance himself he would have a week ago when all this came out. Only according to DC's story. A television news reporter said he/she saw the video that JH shot and so did LP. Doesn't sound like he erased or taped over it to me.

No, it was not an anonymous claim. She was there in person, dug up clothing, a tarp and other items that smelled of decomp. She a also found bones near the water's edge and a garbage can in the water. She told detectives that the rest of the remains were in the water and that they would find duct tape aroud the skull, this is verified by the written sworn statement.
The find is verified (also in the Greenwoood link) by an actual police report and a sworn statement.

For me, the body has been there all along - why? the area was under 3 feet of water - searchers didn't wade through 3 feet of water - the searchers were told to stay away from standing water due to snakes and alligators - they couldn't take any vehicles back in the area because of the trees and brush - so the searchers may have walked around that area with sticks, poking and pulling - the body was in too far for a searcher to poke it

I don't think anyone moved it, I don't think Lee was involved with the body maybe just the cover up

It was already stated by Tony and cell phone pings that Casey supposedly ran out of gas at that same spot and Tony picked her up - I believe to get the gas cans - maybe Casey dumped Caylee there with the intent of going back to burn the area down but she never had a chance and figured that it was as good as place as any to leave Caylee - who would look so close to home anyways, right? (why she couldn't walk home is beyond me maybe she thought she was a princess!)

I pray not, she is the one that is said to have a case pending and is mentally ill. I wonder if it could of been K.Cruz or Gale? I know that Gale came back to search, I as many other's gave her a map of the location at the cemetery due to the find a while back. Not implying that any of them had anything to do with what happen to Caylee. Also, what if it were reported to the FBI, since it's an on going investigation do they have to contact LE right away with leads or information they are working on? Maybe they found the body and panicked and called the FBI a contact that they had a number for previously instead of contacting OCSD since some felt that LE was ignoring all the tips and finds.

I have followed the case from day 1 and have never heard of this finding of bones in Greenwood. someone needs to post a link with a police report or something stating this or to me its just rumor.

It doesn't make any sense. If the police found a human remains they would not set up a video surveillance to see if anyone was going to try and move it. This would have been in the media especially since they are looking for a missing person in the area.

This is rumor thread material since why would LE, if the remains were discovered, setup surveillance in the expectation that someone would return weeks/months later to move them?

Doesn't make sense. LE would have called it a crime scene and processed it as they did on Dec. 11.

This is someone playing games and covers with a story that it is a 'secret' operation they are in on with no records. Fool me once.

Now let's think about this.Why would LE set up a surveillence camera instead of recovering the body.HOPING someone would come back and move it?

IMO it has everything to do with this case. The detectives had every intention of going into the water at Greenwood to retrieve the rest of the remains. They questioned the woman intensively about exactly where in the water the remains would be found. Someone beat them to it and that person was unknowingly caught on tape...there is tons of specualtion on this site, this is just mine. But I want you to know that I have spoken to this woman and others involed as well as seen the documentation and I firmly beieve that this find will play a role. I believe the items she dug up belong to Caylee and Casey.

Exactly! It would make no sense whatsoever if the family moved her body "closer to home." If they had taken her down the highway just ten miles or so, they could make the case for the invisible Zanny, the magical nanny.

Also, if someone tries to say the family moved the body because they felt remorse and were sentimental about having Caylee near home, then why dump her in the woods in a plastic bag? Why not give her a midnight funeral in the woods? If they had done that, we wouldn't be talking about this now!
