I still am wondering why investigators hosed down the roof so rapidly...
I would think the crime scene would have been kept intact for a longer time...
as it seems I have seen in other cases...
especially a crime scene with such major importance.

Additionally...
I am quite surprised that his cremation was ordered after such a short time...

One of preliminary reports, either Grassley’s office or Congressional, stated that FBI did hosing.

ADDED: The report was an attachment to a recent post. I tried searching for it but I think because it’s an attachment and not in body of posted text, it doesn’t come up in search. The author/ congressional rep who wrote the report is former LE. Did anyone bookmark the report?

FBI would be the ones authorized to make the decision to rinse off the crime scene. They're in charge of the investigation and would have the most experience in managing crime scenes and securing evidence.

They had blood they tested from the victim at autopsy; they probably took a lot of photos and probably took samples at the crime scene, too, so I'm not sure why hosing the blood off the roof is a bad thing. It's what you do after the evidence has been gathered. They had the weapon, the shells, the body and possessions of the killer. They knew his identity and searched his vehicle, home, cell phone records, computer, online accounts, etc. Don't forget all the photos, video and audio from LE and people at the event.

The results will come out in a final report, if it hasn't been released already. Anything else at this point is speculation, right?

They're right to do this, as any of them could one day be next ?
It's not just former presidents who could be targeted, it could be someone that's a public figure or speaking at an event.

I don’t know the crime clean up protocol but this even looks odd. Maybe it was a reflex reaction, a clean-freak investigator just wanting to get the blood off before it was baked into the roof?

Otherwise I don’t know why they wouldn’t wait until the scene was officially photographed and investigated. Blood splatter, radius, etc to provide the details accordingly.

If this was a stand alone questionable action of FBI and SS regarding the assassination attempt...
It would not stand out much...

However... since this is one of SOOO many questionable actions...
AND... the two organizations avoiding answers to these actions (and lack of in some cases)....
It is concerning that we are where we are at in this investigation.

Agree. Combined with the fact that there are people who want him eliminated, it is odd.

Does LE of any kind clean up crime scenes??????? I thought that was the property owner's responsibility.

Article dated 16th rally was 13th so probably 3 days or less after shooting.

Seems that some of their authority over crime scenes should be taken away so they can’t cover their mistakes or wrongdoings.

LE commonly does not offer any kind of crime scene cleanup. It is 100% the owner's repsonsibility and there are several companies out there that do this exact work.

I can't think of a single reason that agent would be up there with a hose, except that he wanted evidence gone. Why, is anyone's guess.
 
The task force has set a deadline of Dec. 13 to submit a final report on its findings.
