GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- Action News has learned the woman who was abducted in the Germantown section of Philadelphia has been found alive in Jessup, Maryland. Police say 22-year-old Carlesha Freeland-Gaither, who was originally from Maryland, was abducted on Sunday night. Philadelphia Police Commissioner will be holding a press conference at 7:00 p.m. that will be aired live on 6abc TV and 6abc.com.

Carlesha found alive in Jessup, MD!!!!!

For context... jessup is a small suburb in Howard County. It's about 20 miles from Baltimore, 30 miles from DC.... off I-95.It's down the road (on 175) from Columbia. For those who remember, the Mall at Columbia shooting happened about 5 miles away. howard County is populous and an affluent area. people here work in either DC or Baltimore. Jessup has many chain grocery stores (Wegmans, trader Joes), Home Goods, Target, restaurants, etc. It's the place to shop.
