Is it true that if she’s in a mental health facility, the place can’t confirm or deny she’s there because of hipaa? So the family would have to wait for Casey to reach out?? Have the parking lots of horsham clinic, Belmont, friends, etc been checked?
If she was checked in to a mental health facility (against her will) that means she would be at risk to herself or others. When someone is at risk confidentiality goes out the window. Her family would have been contacted. Also, she’s an active missing person on the news. They have to reach out, there is no way they would now. This is a traumatic experience for her family, no mental health facility would not reach out. They would at least reach out to law enforcement to communicate that she was safe to communicate with the family.
Mental health facilities like to bring in the closest loved ones into the treatment plan. Anyone experiencing mental health issues needs their closest supports on board to support their treatment.
Im a licensed clinical therapist. From what was shared by family it does not appear she was actively at risk. It sounds like she was stable on meds. There are different types of bipolar disorder and different types of episodes both manic and depressant. Many people are diagnosed with bipolar and live normal lives. We can’t stereotype her and judge her based on her disorder. Her being off the grid and no activity on her bank account since disappearing is very concerning but from what was shared, she was future oriented and sounded like she was doing well.
People at risk for self harm often show signs, they withdrawal, lose interest in hobbies, lose motivation… Sometimes even start giving prized possessions away. They do not speak of future plans. Per her mom, she was on vacation with them over 4th of July, doing well and spoke about her summer plans…

Ugh, not good news for this being her last known location. Come on baby girl where are you?

Thanks for the reminder.

Hopefully they will find Casey soon.

Also.JMO.this is why LE asked the family not to be.searching here. So.much riffraff. Concerned for their safety.

Think another man was shot on the bus last night. The new thing. Shooting up SEPTA.

Curious if lots were checked at playwiki and tyler parks? Also Parx casino lot.

and like I keep saying neshaminy state park.. that one scares me a little.

I’m sure they have just really trying to think of where she could be

The family held a prayer vigil at Playwicki earlier this week; not sure if they've been to Tyler or Neshaminy, or Parx Casino.

Heck, all the Bucks County Parks scare me - Nockamixon, 2020 - the hunter that accidentally shot the teenager and then left the scene.

That's amazing that they allow hunting in county parks. None of the county parks or state parks near me permit it whether it's in season or not. State forests, wilderness areas, and wildlife areas are a different matter. Privately owned Duke Forest is closed to the public during times when they allow hunting there on a limited basis.

Hunter???? That's not normal!!! in a in a city park....

Nockamixon is a state park, not a county park like Playwicki. It is not in, or even near, Philadelphia. It's a huge park surrounding a lake and it's in a semi-rural area about 30 miles north of Philly. They allow fishing and also allow some hunting during the state-specified "seasons" (deer season, etc.).

Slightly O/T but there was a more recent murder there than the one of Jason Kutt by the hunter (who "mistook" the young man for an animal, and got a measly 7 year sentence): 2 brothers charged with homicide after body found in Bucks County woods: DA

Sorry, I didn't mean it was a county-owned park, I was saying it is a park located in Bucks County. My point was in agreement that parks/forests can be scary places, especially ones where you can watch a sunset while someone hunts nearby.

If she left Philly at 5:30 am, and her BF stated he was at work at 6 am (easily verified), she would have barely made it home from the 20+ mile drive. The timeline doesn't add up to be suspicious of the BF. Nor does him stating he was at work, knowing how easy that is to check, when he wasn't.
People also have other ways of communicating when a phone is out. Laptop, apps, email....I could go on....
More than likely she made him aware of her intent to drive home from a friends number. As stated before, she is bad with directions. He had every right to be concerned for her.
Also, aren't these the same people we criticize when they DON'T call police??

For reference of the area and the confusing as heck traffic situation downtown, here is a map. Casey would’ve been coming from the far left “Chinatown” on 676 and trying to get on 95 North at top right.

I would respectfully disagree. Someone out on the town for a night doesn't typically have a laptop (or the Wi-Fi/data to send an email). There aren't any pay phones around and people don't remember phone numbers like they used to (for example, if she borrowed a friend's phone). (People do tend to memorize numbers of SO's, so it's possible she had memorized his number if they'd been together long.) And if she isn't good with directions, and left her phone at the club, that's even more alarming, as people rely on phone navigation apps to get around. Even if the phone was out of battery, provided she has a charger in the car, she could have charged it up and used it quickly. My opinion/speculative.

Couldn't Casey have texted him to let him know she was heading out when the argument ensued at the friend's house, then lost her phone after, when she was heading to her car?

I was referring to when she got home. She would be able to use other forms of communication to let the BF know she was home.

IMO if she was lost and she is still around by now, she would have definitely found a way to contact her family, friend, boyfriend. Asking to use somebody else's phone, going to a police station or whatever.....I think Casey is no longer with us or restricted to make contact. Sorry.....painful but realistic. You never know (I've seen to many people smiling, before they took the backdoor) but she doesn't seem to be a lady that's just going of the grid..meaning I don't think her missing was her own choice.....people close to her could have a better knowledge....and even then you never know....Again...I don't know what possible rebound effects her not having her medication for bipolar could have had. I'm so very concerned for her.
I am sure the PD checked the bridges. Could have gotten off at Betsy Ross or Tacony Bridge. She could have been in a state of panic. It seems strange they have not found her car. They should look in NJ>

I have not read anything about an argument. I'm assuming it's with the BF? I would imagine she lost her phone while out at the club or somewhere along the night. Purely speculation but pretty common, I'd imagine. As far as police finding the phone, maybe whomever found it had heard about her story and turned it in? There are some decent people out there still. Again, speculation.

The argument was with the friends whose house she was at; speculating they didn’t want her to drive home at 5:30am, possibly impaired.

Her phone was lost sometime the night before, later found on a sidewalk, and turned in to police.

I’m leaning towards her going into NJ also; I’m sure the police checked the bridge cameras for her car, but every bridge I can think of going from PA into NJ wouldn’t register an EZ Pass for a toll, only going from NJ into PA.

Thank you for clarifying the argument. Valid speculation. So a car accident could be a possibility?
It seems odd to me they only released the one image of her car on the road. Wouldn't there be a ton of cameras along the route? I mean, they're EVERWHERE!

At what point do police step it up and get the FBI involved? With the amount of time that has past, no signs of her car anywhere, no activity on her bank account and no new leads I think this is probably more than her local police can handle. It’s awful that people are taking advantage of the family trying to scam them.
I know there is a lot involved in investigations that is not shared to the public, and I hope that is the case because this seems to be going nowhere.
