During the second day of testimony in Harris’ trial, Brandon Pearson recounted a conversation with Harris inside Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in the days after Carlin-Kraft’s death. Harris ended up there after fleeing into the city from the scene of the slaying, eventually getting arrested by Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office deputies for acting “aggressively and erratically," investigators said.

Earlier in the day, another witness cast doubt on Harris’ version of the events that led up to Carlin-Kraft’s death.

He later confessed to LE to beating & choking her to death over drugs.
Trial started 5/6/19.
5/6/19 Day 1: Jury selected. Opening statements. State witnesses: LE, Kraft’s boyfriend. Trial continues on 5/7.
5/7/19 Day 2: Brandon Pearson recounted a conversation with Harris inside Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (he was in bed next to Harris). Khalil Wardack, the medical examiner. Andrew Sanford, Lyft driver who picked Christina & Harris. Trial continues to 5/8.
5/8/19 Day 3: no info yet. Prosecutors are expected to rest today. Trial continues on 5/9.
*Andre Melton (31) a warrant for arrest issued (8/21/18) arrested & charged (12/5/18) & arraigned (12/6/18) with burglary, criminal trespassing, & receiving stolen property. $25K bond. No bond. (not related to her murder).
Accused of stealing $10,000 worth of jewelry, the victim's keys, Social Security card credit cards, and high-end handbags. Additionally, he is charged with stealing the title to a BMW.
Trial was to start 2/27 moved to 3/6/19 then moved to 4/23/19-cancelled.
2/27/19 Day 2: Due to weather conditions, trial has been moved to 3/6/19. 3/6/19: Defense asks for continuance, granted. Trial will start on 4/23/19. Pretrial hearing on 4/17. 5/5/19: Pretrial conference on 6/18.

5/9/19 Day 4: Closing arguments. Jury MIGHT have case & deliberating. Continues on 5/10.

The man convicted of first-degree murder for strangling a woman to death in her Ardmore apartment last August was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole on Tuesday in Montgomery County Court.

Judge William R. Carpenter sentenced Jonathan Wesley Harris, 30, to life in prison without the possibility of parole and gave Harris an additional sentence of 22½ to 45 years behind bars. ....
