Wow! O'Really I never thought of Franchesca. You were right. Spot on.

Such a beautiful girl. May she be in peace and her family find some kind of solace. Heartbreaking.

Though I do feel bad for all the families of the missing across the world, I just feel more connected to the cases from here in Philly.
I hope her loved ones can find some kind of comfort in at least knowing. And the police can solve this, and get whoever did this behind bars.
Any word on if the guy she went to AC with is being questioned?

Fairly sure that guy lawyered up awhile back.

Thank you for caring about Franchesca and all the missing loved ones out there. Special thanks to all WS'ers who work tirelessly over on The Missing and Unidentified forums.

Franchesca's sisters confirm the ID and are planning a memorial for next week. Her little girl is adorable, and she has been so lovingly well taken care of by the sisters.

It was this past August when a shoe washed up ashore and was found by a fisherman at Corson's Inlet Park in Ocean City, New Jersey with human remains inside. Family members told Action News they were informed by police that the foot was tentatively identified as Alvarado's.

very sad but i'm glad she's finally home with her loved ones.
I believe the man she went to AC with was involved with her death.

I wear a 5-1/2 in womans, a 4 in boys (Kid size tennis shoes)...So it could really be either an adult woman's, or a child's...

Same here. I wear a 5 & 1/2. When I order Adias, I have to get the size 4.

According to the facebook page set up by the family of Franchesca Alvarado, human remains found in New Jersey were confirmed as belonging to Franchesca.

The page does not specify which human remains were matched to Franchesca, but according to this article, they had been waiting on DNA results from the human foot that is the subject of this thread:

:( :( :(

Confirmed.
Very hard to read the article. While they have confirmation of her foot; I doubt this is going to bring any kind of closure. They will want to know what happened & will the rest of her body possibly wash ashore at some point?

In this facebook photo of Franchesca Alvarado, she is wearing a heart-shaped pendant.

A similar heart-shaped pendant was found with the skeletal remains found Sept 23, 2013 in Ocoee, located in the north/west area of Orlando Florida.

Those remains is believed to be a African American woman in her 20s, who died between four months and a year ago, according to a medical examiner. and in a video clip of police news conference they said that 90% of the skeleton had been recovered, could that mean they still haven't found the feet?
If that is the case, that could fit that the foot of Franchesca Alvarado was found in NJ.

So could the skeltal remains found in Ocoee be the missing remains of Franchesca?

Interesting about th body in FL. The necklace looks very similar to me.
The family says the foot found in NJ has been tentatively ID'ed as Franchesca's.
Is the body in FL missing a foot?

The heart pendant she is wearing looks quite a bit larger than the one recovered in the picture, to me. Just my opinion.

very good catch! just two things I would look closely at.
the pendants while similar don't seem to be identical....
technically franchesca would not be identified as African American altho i'm not sure if they would be able to tell from skeletal remains.

I don´t know, but LE stated that they had recovered 90% of the skeleton , which means 10% is missing, which IMO could be the feet.

FWIW, those are not the same necklaces. There are lots of heart shaped pendants out there.

The 90% skeletal remains found Sept 23, 2013 in Ocoee, Fl, were belived to be that of an African-American based on an aathropologist's view on the skull structure, so the race of the remains is IMO not yet 100% confirmed.

Thanks! I would like it. I have not been able to keep up with the fb today at all.
Please send to aamandareckonwith@gmail.com if you would, and I will add it.

Here is the Case Archive, in case there are new people who have not seen it.

Sorry; your message came in as we were ready to leave for food shopping; wanted to get it emailed because I may forget. Let me know if you need another backup. I also just saved the Severed Foot in Shoe Belonged to Missing Woman post.

I hope the family is able to recover the rest of her remains to bring her home.

I can't even imagine what they're going through right now besides shock.
Above all; I hope they're able to get justice.
