Exploring all angles here. Boy, lots of drugs and alochol and arrests abound.

I'm not sure if Kortne's boyfriend has been named in MSM but it is quite possible that one of these people in this link here is related to him and is involved in quite a bit of legal issues. Not sure if there could be a connection but since we are exploring everything..

I'd say having a cash counter (her boyfriend) would be possible if dealing with this scope of a situation.

Again- not implicating anyone/anything. Just evaluating all avenues because it's too quiet.

WOW, some of us go to work and you guys get busy here! Some REALLY interesting information coming out in the past 24 hours!

The money counter is a very interesting twist. I think you have to remember that SS's business is large, industrial-sized equipment used for outdoor work. The least expensive piece I saw was $7500 for a water truck- everything else was $25K and more. These are pieces of equipemnt that sell for much more new. Most likely not something you walk in and pay cash for, especially in small bills.

Not saying this is the case here, but you may be surprised who the local drug dealer is! I worked for a man when I was high school, who drove a Mercedes 2 seater convertible, had a legitimate historic mansion, and all the other toys a wealthy, successful person employed by a legitimate pharmicutical company would have. That is until he went to a federal correction facility on income tax evasion charges because they were the charges that would stick after he was investigated for his illegal cocaine sales. Even his wife was surprised by what came out in the end!

It seems like there is just so much more to this story. What makes me sad is that none of it seems to be good or result in a positive resolution for Kortne!

Thanks, SurfieTX. To me, the key factor is not Kortne's pre-history, but the escalating situation of the evening, night, and morning. To me, there are only two primary possibilities: Either she went to confront the complaining neighbor or she left the apartment building to vent, walk it off, and/or smoke a joint. In either case, leaving the apartment without many things would make sense.

Shoes? How far is she walking blowin a blunt at 4:00 AM? No phone for blunt blowin?

She may have "walked away", but from what we know, it doesn't seem like she intended to go very far or for very long.

IMO, whatever happened, happened on or near that property.

On one of the news reports about Kortne, I can't remember which, this case was mentioned in the comments - don't know if that means anything.

There are literally thousands of people in the Susquehanna Valley with that last name. Thousands.
 
All kinds of crazy comments on CH's blog about Kortne's case...FWIW including one from someone claiming to be sleepover guy.
 
I'm starting from the beginning and re-reading everything and starting a timeline to see if anything else ..clicks. agh, I'm frustrated!

Hi, JurysOut; without discounting your conclusion, I must admit that I'm a bit skeptical about the "no shoes" claim. My sister would have been unable to identify all the shoes of my nieces even when they lived with her, much less after they moved away. And there seemed to have been other, more vital things that Kortne's parents seemed quite unaware of.

In any case, Kortne's final known 24 hours don't seem to have been very rationally planned.

She may have left in flip-flops, if she left on her own...I would imagine she could own several pairs and one pair missing would not be noticed. But still, I would think only to run outside for a minute, seeing how nothing else was taken. If sleepover guy is guilty, he is also very dumb, as he should have removed her keys, phone, purse, etc. to make it appear she left on her own.
 
I've never done a timeline so bare with me. And please add to it and fix any mistakes I make!

Saturday, Jule 28th - Kortne has a gathering (with beer ) which amounts to her boyfriend being arrested on a parole violation and spending 1 week in prison. Also, 2 men were cited for underage drinking - whether related or not, it happened.

Roughly 9 p.m. July 28th, Kortne heads out. It's reported that she parked her car AT a gas station but could potentially be THE Gas Station (bar/club.) She alledgely rode with frends to the bar/club (The Gas Station??.)

While there, alledgely she got into a fight with a male and his girlfriend. (Possibly AB & SS) Not sure why/what/how. It was reported that she was asked to leave said club but upon asking a representative from the club, there was never confirmation that this happened. CP & MR reported this (as well as a friend of Kortne's on social media.)

MR claims that CP drove his car as the designated driver and that he dropped MR off at home and then went to Kortne's.

Upon returning that night with CP - they stumbled upon neighbors JR & RS as well as the side neighbor - TS. Kortne was potentially upset with her neighbors for maybe calling the police earlier. It's also been reported that there was a history of issues with KS and her neighbors, best described as no love loss.

SHEET, i have to leave work now - my ride is leaving..

Hi, CLuciano. As someone who left his keys in his apartment door overnight after a late night of proof-reading, I can vouch for living in the minute. You or a less tired I might think to run outside for only a minute, but it was after four a.m. and Kortne had been drinking and arguing and stomping at multiple locales that night. And she's young: I've seen quite sober NYU students run out in lower Manhattan at that hour for cigarettes barefoot and in semi-transparent nightwear.

I can see possibly leaving everything else, but the phone? Aren't those physically attached to all between the ages of about 13-30...

When I suggested it was a change counter, I was not yet aware that the model number was available and that it WAS a bill counter. When I waited tables, I swapped my $1s for bigger bills from the register before going home. It also helped the restaurant because they did not have to go to the bank for change as often.

And we do NOT know it was stolen from her/her place. There may be other 20 something females living on the block who rent, or who live with someone who rents and are not actually on the lease. I believe that the apartment K shard with her BF was "officially" rented to her only.
