IMO of course.. what if the argument at the bar had her so worried making her act so erratic (behaviors) the rest of the night? How much money are we taking about?

The rumor, specifically, is that her boyfriend owed a drug dealer 26,000$ and that Kortne may have been kidnapped as some sort of ransom. Again, this is JUST A RUMOR. I believe the chances of it being true are slim to none. I do not believe it.

Could the argument at the bar have been with the drug dealer? Is that part of the rumor?

:waitasec:

Whoa!! I have an excellent memory/recall, and Palmyra Dad stated in post # 1120 at 9:58 am yesterday that the landlord lived out of town. Sorry I posted out of state.

"He does not live in town."

Whoa. I was not exspecting that... I was just brainstorming!:banghead:

It has been too long now to be a ransom for money-type thing, IMO, especially as it does not appear any such requests have been forthcoming. If this is drug-releated (Big "IF"-no idea, obviously), more likely a bad ending, not about getting the money so much as taking revenge for not paying it in the first place. But then where is her body? Usually such people are making a point and want people to know it.

if mr only lived a block or so away from ks's apt. i wonder why he didnt just drop them off at her apt. rather than the other way around, was cp intending on staying the whole nite or did he have to go somewhere farther away for some reason.

I am thinking 1 of 3 things could have happened.
1. Some thing with CP the stay over.
2. What if Kortne did open the door for LE the second time....could this be why they are not forth coming. Could some one from LE caused her to go missing?
3. Kortne was not going right to bed after the night she had....how many of us could just lay down and sleep after a day like this. What if she went back out to maybe slash a tire, mess up her neighbors property and ran into them. Causing someone to take action against her. This would be the only reason I could see her walking out without her belongings.
Just thoughts......I am still going with 1 but 3 is possible.

No, not really. I have not heard even a rumor regarding who she was fighting with at the bar. (And I am pretty close to those that were at the bar with her. . .so I don't know why I have not heard about this. I suspect the bar fight may not have happened in the first place.) But I think this particular rumor has the same credibility level as the rumor that KS was spotted in a cage by the creek.

The reality is that KS and her boyfriend maybe, possibly, likely, probably, in theory, sold some drugs. BUT that does not mean that they were big time drug lords with deep, dark secrets and big, bad people after them. The drug part of this case has been grossly exaggerated, in my opinion.

If you ask me, the chances that CP disappeared KS are 80%, the neighbor 15%, and "other" (drug dealer, rapist, etc.) are 5%.

Ding ding ding!!! That has been my question all along! If MR lived so close...why bother dropping him off? Why didn't he drop them off..if it was so close? I'm not convinced anyone slept that night...

Rumors about owing money for drugs seems to come up in lots of cases...never see it pan out very often...people just are not set up to take and hide and maintain a person...

thats what im rolling around in my mind... was it possible that cp and ks were going to go somewhere for some reason and they were taking mr's car for some reason - like cp may not of had as much to drink or they needed to take mr's car for some other reason?

the dropping the owner of the car off and not leaving his car with him and walking a block doesnt make any sense to me... there has to be a reason imo. maybe nothing sinister but it niggles at me...lol

maybe they didnt answer the door because they were not there?

Thanks PalmyraDad - I'm taking this to mean that the actual dispatch logs are not available online for linking and the information came from MSM. Okay - that is good to know as I thought they were accessible and viewable.

Thanks!

Salem

I could have sworn I saw them posted early on in the case but I've re-read the first dozen pages of thread one more times than I like and never found them again. I must just be losing it.

isnt that the truth... and the ransom thing too. i wish it could be true but i dont remember an actual kidnap/ransom -- do you?

Everything I'm about to write is speculation on people we are allowed to sleuth or available through MSM or other public source.

I do not believe this story either, based on:

1. MR maybe, probably, in theory, has a serious attachment to his car and an aversion to allowing others to drive it.
2. CP had been in a very serious accident. He is the last person you would trust to drive your car.
3. MR maybe, probably, in theory, in my speculation, could have had sexual relations with KS in the past. . .and who lets their best friend go home with a hot girl who used to let them hit it, bro?
4. Nobody drops the owner of the car off at their house first and then proceeds to go somewhere else with the car, particularly if that place is just down the road.
5. LE searched MR's car and HIS HOUSE, which would lead one to believe they don't believe his story either.
6. MR's constant use of the word "we" in defiantly proclaiming "our innocence" and how "we didn't do anything".

So until information surfaces telling me otherwise, I say that anything CP did that night, MR did with him.

thank you for the perspective :) ... i have read of the pending cases etc. and have formed the very same ideas that they were together... and if they were not then it was for a very specific reason. jmho, of course.

eta: i didnt know about mr's persistent use of "we" but now i really suspect that mr & cp were together ...
