Rachael DelTondo was coming home from getting ice cream with a friend when she was shot multiple times while standing in the driveway of her mother's home.

DelTondo, a school teacher, had been suspended during an investigation into her relationship with an underage student.

No motive has been established, and no arrests have been made.

But the engagement was broken off, and months later, she was the victim of confidential information leaked from the Aliquippa Police concerning her and a former student.

That information lead to a suspension from her teaching job at Pa. Cyber.

But sources say it also prompted a state police investigation of the Aliquippa Police, and that DelTondo cooperated. It’s not clear, what, if any, this turn of events has to do with her murder.

Wonder if the broken engagement and/or incident with the minor has anything to do with her murder. Or the dispute with the wedding dress shop (seems unlikely imo but idk).

According to a local paper, the Beaver Countian, she had been working with an investigative journalist to uncover corruption in the local police department. The Alquippa PD was under investigation by the state police.

Rachael DelTondo had informed the Beaver Countian about multiple death threats she had received, including one promising she would not live to see the end of 2018. DelTondo told the Beaver Countian she had reported the death threats to authorities.

Perhaps LE is looking at her cell phone to see who had called to threaten her in the past.

Allegations involving corruption in Beaver County are currently the subject of inquiry by the Pennsylvania Statewide Investigating Grand Jury. The Aliquippa Municipal Building was raided by investigators with the Pennsylvania State Police back in March, after a second confidential source for the Beaver Countian began informing state authorities about other alleged improprieties involving City officials. That source voluntarily revealed to investigators they had been informing this publication’s reporting.
