AMBER ALERT: Pa. State Police Search for Missing Girl and Woman

Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a girl and woman who went missing in Downingtown early Tuesday evening.

Zoe Moss, 6, and Vanessa Gutshall, 37, were last seen in the area of the East Ward Elementary School in Downingtown, Chester County, around 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday. Police believe Moss may be at special risk of harm or injury. They have not yet revealed whether or not Moss is related to Gutshall.
Moss is described as a 6-year-old girl standing between 3-foot-6 and 4 feet and weighing 50 pounds with light brown hair and blue eyes. Gutshall is described as a 37-year-old woman standing 5-foot-2 and weighing 100 pounds with light brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing blue sweatpants and a hooded sweatshirt.

I wonder where the mother may originally be from? She got off RT 30 to go to that restaurant but there are other places, McDonalds, handy markets etc she could have stopped at. Why go there? IMO

According to the Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan, Venessa Gutshall, 37, was spotted between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Rivertowne Restaurant and Bar in Wrightsville.

Police said Gutshall went there to see her mother.

"Venessa's mother works in the bar. She showed up here asking for money. Her mother at the time, unfortunately, was completely unaware of what was going on. She gave her the money, and Venessa disappeared," said Chief Doug Pollock, with Hellam Township police.

@PommyMommy Well that answers that. I couldn't understand the route she was taking. I wonder how much $ the mom gave? They need to check every fleabag motel and fast food chain. UGH. This poor child has got to be scared. IMO

Me either, the mother (GM) works at a restaurant, seeing as she said she didn't know anything about this means she didn't bring $ with her. Means tip $. The restaurant was closing the next day for a roof fix however the bar was still going to be open according to their site.
