Paris Hilton to serve time part 2

No need to duck. But, she's not the "new OJ". lol OJ killed two people and destroyed many lives. Paris will survive (I hope).

I was thinking of the Bronco on the freeway, the helicopters and all.

I dun't buy any of it. I think she was told they would get her out on medical release and not to sweat it. The fit today was because they lied to her. LOL!

She doesn't think she shoudl have to face the music and neither does her mother.

According to sources, she has been raised by her mother that they are above the law and better than everyone else.

I really think the parents (and Paris) are to blame for a lot of the her nonsense. Just recently one of her younger brothers who is 18 was caught trying to get in a bar at 4am in NYC (he is 18). Where were Mommy and Daddy? People just don't seem to want to raise their own kids.

Nope, not a good idea. Whatever her med was, she wasn't repsonsible about reporting it and this is her own doing. She could have gotten her med in jail no problem.
Of course i feel bad for someone with mental problems, but that's a good reason to stay out of jail.
Baca made it clear that it was psycholgical issue.

I feel sorry for her but you are right that ultimately, she needs to take responsibility for her actions. Apparently no one has ever forced her to do that.

Do you think this experience will teach her a lesson, or will she go back to being the same spoiled irresponsible brat as before? I'm curious to see what happens.

Hi Feddup. It is up to the inmate to bring an original prescription and a doctors note when they turn themselves in if they have a health problem or if they are on regular meds. They document their medical problem and then they are assigned to a medical facility that can handle their needs right off. Typically Twin Towers in LA.
It was her responsibility to make sure that her meds were not interrupted and that they knew she had medical issues.

ETA: I am willing to bet the lawyers didn't know anything about it,l because it would have been a great case to be made from the beginning to keep her out in the first place.

yes, but remember, in the beginning of all this, she tried to blame her publicist for not imforming her that her DL had been revoked
Hopefully, when she gets out she will have a new perspective on life and turn it around for the better. Seems her parents have spoiled her, just the fact that at age 26 she calls out for "Mom" in court says something about the way theyve been brought up.
She might learn that Mom and Dad and her last name cant always save her.

ETA: IIRC she had a period of a couple weeks to get her affairs in order prior to incarceration. This is the kind of stuff you get squared away and it was her obligation to make sure her meds were not interrupted.

She had a month!! She was sentenced on May 4th! All the more time to prepare herself.

Well, I think a little jail time is critical to get the message across. Not just to her, but to all DUI offenders. Along with whatever court ordered classes or education is available.
If it were a drug issue, I would think a some jail time followed by rehab would be a good way to go.

I feel bad for anyone with mental issues also. Even more reason for her not to be drinking!

You're welcome...it's all speculation on my part but I'm starting to think she has major problems. Not that that's any excuse for her behavior, but I always wondered what was wrong with her, and this is explaining a lot!

I have recently started thinking she must have mental issues because she seems to really like the limelight. She is basically stalked by paparazzi and seems to thrive on it. I would think a "normal" (whatever that means) person would get tried of it after awhile...she never does:doh:

Whether it is true or not, can't you just imagine the long line of guys who are waiting at the door of the jail for her to exit now that this is all over the internet... NOT!!!!!!

She was apparently posting what someone else posted on TMZ in the comments section. I could post something on there too - doesn't mean it's true. I don't read the comments stuff - just the stories posted. Most of the comments are "a friend of my uncle's cousin's ex-wife's best friend said...."

Nope. I heard today that she dropped out her sophomore year and got her GED.
