I feel better now. I was fearing a hung jury over a split. This is far better. As central says the jury had been told not to deliberate until this hearing but are not sure if this means today only or if yesterday. I won't be surprised if we don't get a verdict today. I will be surprised if we don't get one tomorrow. But I hope for one today. I need my life back!!!!

SunnyinMO, what it means that Life or Death degree was ascending or rising when the jury retired to deliberate on a sentence is that both time and place came together to designate a moment when that grave decision would be the subject on the human mind in that body, The Jury.

Yes. She knows as much as she wants to know about this. Another reason for optimism.

I hate that the media reported it was a jury question!!! My heart was in my stomach when I read that report!! No bueno people!! I think we can still see death as a sentence.

Interesting though that the Judge asked if the parties would be around close and that the families have arrived at Court. I wonder if another in chambers meeting is going to take place.

Is life in prison that bad? She'll never get out. The family wont have to see her anymore. She's been found guilty of premeditated first degree murder, with the provision of cruelty.

By all rights, the family and victim WON.

I hope the jury considers the fact that just because JW says there's no procedure in place now to let CM out, laws can change. Didn't lots of death row criminals have their sentences changed to LWOP when CA (I think) changed the law there?

Kenneth McDuff had three death sentences and had them changed to life which meant ten years because of overcrowding in Texas prisons. He was released and went on a killing spree.When caught was given another death sentence and fought that till the day he was executed. He needed killing the first time.

So in earlier post, someone listed tweets this morning from that WildAbout guy and he named the HLN reporters who showed up wearing a beautiful shade of salmon today....(JC and BK both in salmon suits and some male reporter sporting salmon dress shirt)....

A few comments, speeding through the thread, taking a break from fixing a fence line:

1. "Flip Flops" were worn on the first "guilty verdict", and we mustn't forget cleaning out kitty litter boxes!

2. The jury is probably worried not in the least about threats. I find it kinda crazy that certain witnesses said they were threatened. In Arizona, if you are threatened, you call LE, you put an injunction against harassment on the perp, if you have a gun, you make sure it's clean and loaded, and keep your cell phone close by. "Threats and Intimidation", "Stalking" are taken very seriously here, and if someone doesn't feel they need to take the necessary steps to CYA, then they are not utilizing the process that's been put in place.

3. CMja will not last in Prison. Even if she is in PC, or DR, she is not totally protected.
A. She is Bi-Racial, Hispanic and Caucasian. She doesn't really have a place in either the Hispanic or White gangs.
B. She tried to pass as white and she killed a white man. The White gangs will "pass" and the "Aryan" type gangs will target her. To the Hispanics, she is ashamed of her culture.
C. She is from California, rarely do Hispanic gangs in Az embrace Hispanics from Calif, they are rivals. She has learned "Spanish", not the Spanish spoken by the majority of Hispanics in Prison. They will not be impressed.
D. She has already violated "prison etiquette", her response to a fight in Estrella was she was defending herself. Major FAIL. Snitch Material.
E. She killed the brother of LE. She will have a target on her back by inmates, and guards will look the other way if there is a prisoner altercation.
F. She is LOCA, and not in a good prison way. An inmate will get lots of props for making her life miserable or ending it.
G. The gals at Perryville are already aware of her "jacket", that's Everything about her crime, her write ups in Estrella, her "pals", her access to finances, etc., etc. She is a "celebrity hound". She killed a man with absolutely no valid justification. She will NOT be able to "blow smoke" to impress or baffle them with bologna. They do NOT like her.

I truly believe she will end up like Dahmer. I give her 5 years max. JMO :twocents:

I love the parts of HLN's coverage where they apologize for their misreporting.
