Greta is calling it a "disgusting twist" that Stephany was killed on Sunday, the 5th anniversary of Natalee's disappearance.

Greta has a reporter in Peru on the phone..................

A video of the two at a casino, and later arrived at the hotel del Tac about 5:00am Sunday morning.

Joran traveled 1000 kilometers to Peru to Chili. Body of Stephany found Wednesday morning. Father reported her missing Monday. A wake is being held tonight, attended by friends and family. It's believed he's headed toward Argentina. Confirmed going into Chili. Dutch embassy in Peru not commenting. Watching the Argentina border.

Reporter on Greta is saying JVDS travelled by bus to the Chile border. Signs of a struggle in the room, her body clothed. Stephany had been out with friends Saturday, returned home about 2:30am, then went out again to casino and met JVDS. Knowing now who the suspect is, her father believes he shouldn't have been free to do this (kill Stephany). Interpol has issued an arrest warrant.

BREAKING NEWS: Some reports say that Joran van der Sloot, longtime suspect in the disappearance of 18-year-old Natalee Holloway five years ago and prime suspect of the brutal stabbing death days ago of 21-year-old Stephany Tatiana Flores Ramirez, has been found dead near the Peru border after allegedly committing suicide.

I'm just suspicious when only one outlet, especially a blog, has information that the others don't especially on such a huge story. The major media would be all over it, imo.

During the airing of Issues, the Arubian official speaking via the phone stated that Joran checked out on Sunday morning at 8:00 AM however the body was not discovered until 10:00 PM on Tuesday night. Has this been reported in the media?


It seems odd that the hotel didn't go to the room at some point on Sunday to clean it for the next arrival.

Hi Patty G, I've catching up here but have been wondering about that too.

Maybe in Peru they aren't Johnny-on-the-spot to get in and clean a room after a guest leaves. If he checked out on Monday it would leave over a day she was in the room dead, maybe a day and a half depending on check out time.

Maybe he didn't officially check out but was seen crossing the border into Chile where everyone might have to show ID. That is the only reason I can think of as to why she wasn't discovered much sooner.

Regarding suicide, even though I strongly think he will eventually or could have already, I am hesitant too to believe this particular story since it is saying near the Peru/Chili border. Apparently he crossed the border two days ago - why would he still be hanging close to it?

I have heard of the site I linked but you are probably right. I imagine rumors are swirling everywhere.

We (internet) learned of Joran being a murder suspect around 11ish this morning and it took several hours before the national media even got wind of it.
