But, did he just tell the teens to dump her in the ocean and he would handle the legal covering, or did he actually have someone else handle Natalee's remains? I am not certain of the amount of power and Aruban culture to have someone else do it. Then again, teens can't be trusted to keep quiet either. Hmmm.... Joran may not know where Natalee is. That may be part of the "anniversary" murder. Total control on that one. Dad is gone, media didn't care about the extortion (they didn't know about it though), Joran became nobody. He has created a love/hate with Natalee and with Dad in his mind. He had to outdo both and himself so he could be someone. Someone with a name, with power, hmmmm.....

My guess is that he's already blamed her for Stephany's murder: See mom, if you hadn't cut me off financially I wouldn't be in any of this trouble!
If JVDS actually were to tell BH the whereabouts of NH body, wouldn't that implicate him in her murder? Or is there some statute of limitations on murder charges in Aruba? I don't see how he could be so bold and brazen. Or why LE or anyone would expect him to tell the truth.

Hi! :wave: I've been on here before a while back and signed back up so I could contribute if it would be helpful in any way and to stay up to date with info on the case.
I just watched a video on CNN and they said that all of the surveillance from the hotel has been looked at. There were no breaks or pauses..etc. No one else entered but JVDS & SF and no one else left but JVDS. So there is NO possibility that anyone else was is in there. Also per the newscaster from CNN, most hotels (I think she meant maybe in Peru, not sure) do not normally have surveillance cameras in their hallways but that this hotel in Peru, did. JVDS may have figured they didn't or wasn't thinking about it because supposedly, if I'm wrong correct me, he had denied any involvement in the very beginning when questioned. Obviously it's known he is a liar and has confessed and changed stories in the past so it would be hard to trust anything he is saying anyhow.
The fact that this murder took place the exact day Natalee went missing, to me seems it was pre-meditated. Why on this exact date would he do almost the same thing he did with Natalee (met at Casino, then she went missing..)? Too much of a coincidence for it to be an act brought on by rage IMO. Also body language can tell us a lot and JVDS did not looked panic or hurried when leaving the hotel. And before entering the hotel room, when checking in, it looked like he knew what was going to happen.
I also wonder if, because he had no help, that this is why the body was not dumped in the ocean (as he had been searching for oceans/beaches in Lima on the computer I believe?) and left in the room. I wonder if in Natalee's case she also had been brought to a hotel and killed in the same manner and because he had help possibly, her body may had been dumped in Ocean ?
Is there any post/thread on here that has a list of all the facts of Natalee's case? It might be helpful to see the comparison of both cases.
I pray that the truth will come out and that both families will have closure and for this reason hope that Joran would not die in a prison until he has spoken the truth about Natalee & Stephany. I also pray that there will be justice and ultimately Gods' will be done.

Yes I do remember the hotel renovation. Which hotel it was, though, I don't remember. IIRC, the hotel renovation came up during the time the two security guards were initially held for questioning, at the very beginning of Natalee's disappearance. Again, this is from my memory, but I definitely remember the hotel renovation.

I would love one day to travel, but maybe Peru is out. My mouth would ruin something.

I am NOT liking the date missing at all considering the last contact from Joran was May 17, 2010 and then 17 days later out pops an arrest warrant on June 3, 2010.
Clearly there was no additional evidence to make the original "insufficent" evidence, become now enough evidence to issue an arrest warrant.
My gut is telling me that there was correspondence from Beth/Rep to Joran shortly after they received Joran's email. There HAD to be, and I still have a feeling it was within a fews days before Stephany's murder.
One more piece needed to complete the puzzle for the 5th anniversary

I think it is because we didn't want to show our cards at first. This is the entire reason why we hadn't actually arrested him in the first place, after we had him on extortion charge.
I believe the FBI was looking at the broader picture and hoping that he would some how slip up and lead them to Natilie's body in one way or the other.
Now, it is obvious that he is going to be tried for this murder, and now everyone knows about the sting, so, now they present the affidavit.
On the prisons, I did google the one that started with a C. I cannot remember the name now. There were no videos that I know, but a few about some law suits about the same horrible conditions and guards beating inmates. Not any better than the one on the videos I am sure.
