As for his computer, if there's anything of value on it to nail him to a crime, it would be Natalee's death, imo, or maybe someone else we haven't even heard of. I doubt there's anything about Stephany and not much would be needed anyway since there is already so much evidence. MOO

Yep, you are right. I was thinking of the Facebook email that he was using as motive.

Wait a minute.

"Wet newspaper"????

Um, paper at all, but wet? Makes the old saying "You couldn't fight your way out of a wet paper bag" seem ridiculous.

Hahaha, wet newspaper. Why not one of those magazine or books. Would take a few seconds longer to gnaw through.

Oh heck, not talking about rats again. Shoot.

I would guess this rat is what we call "sewer rats" and they get as big as small dogs!!!

If Joran feeds it some of his food, it may befriend him. He could even name it Ben. Lol.

Or in desperation, he could roast it like I saw once on a PBS show with Nomads in another country far, far away.

Big rats, lots of rats, I am freaking out myself.

No problems. As long as we don't read that he's named the rat, Ben (Willard film).

Earlier today I began talking outloud while my husband was in the kitchen about JVS going before the Judge claiming his confession was coerced.

My husband exclaimed loudly, "I'm tired of hearing about JVS! That guy is toast; he killed her, they have him on tape, he dyed his hair and crossed a border - end of story." Okay then (maybe he'll be open to some talk about KC - I haven't brought her up lately!) :snooty:

P.S. After that I listened to a ten minute explanation about how replacing the gas cap on a vehicle can reset the computer system so that when you go
in to have your car emission test it can't be done until you drive 100 miles or something like that - LOL!

Now I understand why your name is 'Woe Be Gone'....LOL

Apologies! Sorry about that. LOL Didn't see that line in your post!

The translation I get is "thousands of dollars a week from Monday to Saturday". It's the kind of claptrap put out by casinos to make people think they can win big. http://translate.google.com/?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hl=en&tab=wT#es|en|miles%20dolares%20semanales%20de%20lunes%20a%20sabado

It is true, many countries use dollars, not just the U.S., so it could be Australian dollars, Belize dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, New Zealand dollars...etc.etc.

Found MY mistake in translation: I used lunas and it is lunes One vowel changed the entire sentence. No more translation for me and sorry to cause confusion in the translation.

I understand that other countries use the word dollars. I found the member who is from Peru and left a message regarding the currency at the casino. Hopefully the member will sign on and see a visitors message and help out with regards to the currency used in the casino.

This is the first I heard about "throwing a homeless man off a bridge"....where did this story come from?????????

The story was told by people from Aruba. The man was not reported to be killed but the boys got in trouble. I'm sorry I do not have a link. Thread #11Post#143 refers to the incident also. It's just one of the stories showing his youthful violence. Killing his dog, another violent episode, along with lying and blaming another: Thread#11 Post #262. He was only 13 then. His parents did have him in counseling so they realized there was a problem. Sad for everyone they either didn't comprehend or just covered up the extent of Joran's anti-social behavior.

Okay... I hate to go back to the beginning here, but I wonder if Stephany didn't have any intention of hanging around in Joran's room for very long.

In his confession, he says:

... I got up thinking what to do. There was also blood on my shirt and on the bed. When I took my shirt and I pushed it hard on her face, until she was dead. Then I thought: now what? I left the hotel but the receptionist told me I had to move the car...

I would assume this is a high traffic area with no parking allowed except for maybe a loading/unloading space or a space or two for temporary parking.

It makes me think she wasn't planning on staying long. Maybe to quickly retrieve money she loaned him? Rather than hanging out for any of the other various reasons speculated.

I don't know what difference it makes in the scheme of things, if any, except to (maybe) narrow down her reasons for being there. Maybe I'm making something out of nothing??

Oh this is good suzihawk, as certainly the Peruvian police have interviewed the personnel at the hotel. They would be able to find out what receptionist was on duty,
if there was a shift change between 5AM and 9AM, speak to both of them if there was and find out if this conversation ever took place and at what time.

I think he'd also better hope that the Columbian hitman Ospina never finds out that Joran has complained about being imprisoned with him....the operative word here is 'HITMAN'!!!

At the VERY least, Ospina may not let Joran watch his tv any more...LOL!!

I guess this means they aren't fast friends and good poker buds - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is not true.
Joran doesn't seem to get it that nobody cares if he's inconvenienced. :loser:

That e-mail probably is in the computer but what I'd be interested in is if anyone opened it that morning. I'm not sure how Facebook works that way though, or if one can stay "logged in". :waitasec:

Another thing about the car... if Stephany kept her winnings in her car as her brother thinks she did, I'm sure JVS found it. I can't imagine him not going through the glove box, etc. with a fine tooth comb before dumping it and frantically fleeing. At this point no one seems to know how much she won in the days prior to the death, but it's been reported she won large amounts.

I didn't see this posted so sorry if this is duplicate.
In Session host interviewed via telephone a female Peruvian lawyer Giavanna (missed last name) stated that VDS has the right to remain silent before judge.
Also stated that it is okay to lie in a confession, they do not have a penalty for perjury. No additional penalty for lying.

Also I wanted to add that I find it very interesting that Peruvian authorities would have VDS and the hitman in adjacent cells with such easy access to VDS. To me this seems like a warning to VDS. It would be very easy for the hitman to strangle VDS in his sleep and make it look like he hung himself I would think. Maybe this is why VDS is complaining. (just kind of thinking out loud)

Not sure if this is what you mean. The email goes to your inbox of your regular email. So, it would still be there. time stamped and all. And yes, you can stay logged in to Facebook, you can even set it as your home page.

I'm interested to know if when it is opened in the courtroom, who will open it? Will it be the Judge, will it be a lawyer, will it be LE or will they have a forensic computer tech open it? Just curious about that.

I stay logged in all the time to FB,HTH

"The Dutch playboy also complained that he has to share his prison cellblock with a Colombian murderer, a corrupt Peruvian general and rats that creep into his cell through the toilet at night".

Seems like this scenario makes perfect sense, if you act out like Joran has done that is where you end up.

What seems to be the problem?:ban me:

Seems to be adjusting nicely like the PPath he is. So, I suppose he and The Clown sit together to view. (Probably, no popcorn.) I'd hate to say adios to this place, if I were him.

Written by Jean and another reporter:
There was no television; he goes to a larger room to watch TV. The floor of the cell appeared to be a nice, synthetic, shiny wood floor.

Oh, that nice shiny floor. Remember the earlier video of Joran when he got moved to Castro Castro and we had a peak of his cell? I do not recall that floor being there and neither was the thick mattress. Installed for Jean/CNN IMO and the rest of the viewing world.
