That room was such a mess! I pity the poor employee who walked in on this.

For some reason, the picture showing her bare feet got to me the most.

I think for me it was her hands. To me they showed she put up one heck of a fight for her life. It just makes me cringe.

I also noticed that her sneakers were still tied in a bow.....he must've just pulled them off her feet.

Yes she did put up a fight, a lot more than JVS has said. I guess it's possible she already had her shoes off. I don't always untie mine when I take them off.

It's hard to look at her entering that room, knowing she is heading for her death. JVS had no right to do this to her. I hope they hang him.

I think we can tell from the state of that room that he wasn't getting daily housekeeping services which explains why no one went into the room for three days after the murder. All those clothes on the floor and casino tickets/garbage piled up on the tables weren't just from one day.

Those pictures are horribly riveting. And I hope they do exactly what they are probably intended to do. To show everyone who is having an inkling of sympathy for JVS just what this guy is all about.

I like the way Peru operates. Every time JVS starts to spin his stories and get people to question whether he's getting a fair deal, they release more video or picture information to put it in perspective.

BBM I agree, that picture tore me up. When my children were babies, I would tickle, kiss, & play this little piggy with their feet. I think this is why the picture gets to me, knowing her parents probably did the same thing.
She was their baby.

It was very hard to see those pictures. Very.
The room was a total mess...no room service there at all. His tickets were mounting as you can see.

As for the untied shoes? When I saw them, ..... my husband never untied his either. I was always chiding him for that......just too lazy I suppose.
When I put them away, I always untied them for him. LOL Habit I guess.

Morning, Paintr......we all need a little diversion once in a while....and the marriage proposals did it for me too.

Those pics are really something else. So telling as to the damage he did to her body, and we've only seen an inkling of what she endured.

I saw the ring and watch,,,,,and almost thought it was his pics....then my head came back to ...... oh no these are HER pictures...not his.

Coffee cups for DNA evidence too...along with the Coke bottle...
But in one picture there seems to be a stack of tickets....I wonder if they are from the casino?

All I can say is ....this poor girl went through a beating that was positively awful. The room is small so there was absolutely no where she could get away from him at all.
He had her cornered and with his long arms......how could she reach him to fight him off ?
He just overpowered her.

Peru does NOT have the DP.....he'll just do time, something he has plenty of now.

Not sure about the death penalty there. I don't think they do and I've heard talk of him only getting up to 35 years or possibly life. I'm sure they don't hang anyone as punishment, it was just my wishful thinking.

If not mistaken her brother was at the hotel just as the police were either getting there or they arrived only minutes prior to his arrival.
He called for his dad to come (as reported too).
Whether or not the brother saw the room and her body, I can't remember.

But somehow I remember someone saying that she was unrecognizable.

Joran did more than just an elbow to her nose. That much is true. It was a vicious and horrendous crime of which he is the ONLY person involved.

I too wondered about the bottle with the arrow......I'm going back to study them again....

I was noticing the surface that the brown bottle and the coffee cup with the lid off were on. It appears to be a tile type surface so perhaps these items were found on the bathroom counter? If so, what kind of product would come in a brown bottle like that and be kept in the bathroom?
