How did the casino have his name if he was not in the tournament? Do you have to register to watch?

I heard the brother say in an interview that someone showed them a copy of his passport and that was where they got his name. (It may have been the owner of the casino, not sure). They went home and googled his name and his pic and the story about Natalee immediately showed up. They immediately panicked and eventually the LE investigation led them to the hotel.

I don't have a link, but an article I read this afternoon said that JVS paid his hotel for 14 days in advance before he left town, and left instructions that no one was supposed to go in the room. These are NOT the actions of an innocent man.

An earlier article also quoted the hotel receptionist who discovered the body as saying the TV was on in the room when he/she entered. Assuming JVS left it on to make the staff think he was still in the room. He was clever at covering his tracks and preventing anyone from discovering the body until long after he had left.

NG show: they're talking about how prolonged and painful Stephany's death would've been.

Natalee's aunt is speaking to Stephany's brother and family on air sending her condolences.

I am wondering if maybe her face was so swollen that he couldn't see her eye. He didn't exactly say her eye was missing did he?

omg....Natalee's aunt is speaking directly to Stephany's brother.

heartbreaking.

On the NG Show the gentleman (sorry, didn't catch his name), he just stated that Stephany suffered greatly before she died.

I'm not buying the mystery man. The only one to report that was some poker blogger dude who said a reporter told him while they were hanging out in front of the hotel. Why haven't we heard of it from any other source?

I'm not sure where the source came from, whether true or not I wish it could be confirmed! I just hate gray areas in crime cases, give me black or white solid evidence please!

M.D.: even w/bat the force to break t neck; head injuries - inter-cranial bleeding (even w/bat)
tremendous suffering would b involved - agony, pain
could hit several times, maybe legs, back, chest (lungs) etc. etc., and then hit on head>can lay there several hours, and then, die

epi- we heard stabbings, beaten, one eye out, tennis racket and baseball bat. Thanks for the clarification.

Well, we DO know...
She's dead.
She was murdered.
Joran was the last one with her.
In HIS room.
He left....fled....
It's on video.
That's plenty for me.

I don't understand your reluctance to believe him guilty.:banghead:

I've heard and read at least four times that the father has stated that skin was found under Stephanie's fingernails and that it was going to be easy to see that Joran killed her. I hope this is true and I hope that there is evidence on the bat. I really do not see him getting out of this unless he takes the coward's way out and hangs himself or someone hangs him before he can do it himself.

Has the Aruban officials made a statement about this latest crime that Joran has been charged with? I would like to read it. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Suzihawk. I'm certain the police are looking for anyone who encountered Joran in the hotel the morning of the homicide. The mystery man would be sought only as a witness.

Did they say that? For sure? I didn't hear that but I'm trying to watch and keep up on here so I may have missed it.

Yes, did not say that any bat is found. Said autopsy results COD: blunt trauma to head, neck and back.

The funeral yesterday was too soon, and we are used to having our top notch forensics here, so now it is making me nervous too~Hopefully the DNA under Stephany's fingernails was taken before burial.

They can always exhume the body.

Please forgive me but IMO that is absolutely bizarre for a grieving family member to say. It's not as if she put herself out there as bait to catch a killer. Supposedly these people had never even heard of the Holloway case before Stephanie was killed and now their loved one is a martyr for Natalee?!

They are better people than I will ever be. I guess.

Joran is still not back in Lima?!

They're grieving! They are simply trying to make some sense out of such a senseless murder of their loved one.

I understand that the Peruvian justice system may be different than the US system, and that we may all just be used to CSI-like evidence, but it's hard to imagine that they didn't take clippings from under her fingernails during the autopsy. Her dad's statement about them having to exhume her body just doesn't make sense. He might have misunderstood. I read somewhere he hadn't slept much in days

he leaves the room at 8am, comes back with coffee at 8:40am, and leaves the room with a bag saying he will be back at what time?
