WOW just wow is all I have to say...I can't process this all in my head. I want to believe there is still good in the world but just seeing the surveillance that they have on him makes me ill.

I admit, I have not had time to read all the posts here since the news broke about JVS & his latest activities. While I don't wish inhumane or unjust treatment upon anyone, I don't feel sorry for him. He's finally being held accountable for his actions. No one forced him to go to casinos, enter poker tournaments or even travel to South America. It's only right he be judged by Peru's legal system for the crime he's been accused of committing.

The people who have my sympathy & prayers are the families of Natalie & Stephany.

The crime was committed in Peru, the victim was Peruvian and justice will be delivered in a Peruvian court, their way. There is no reason to presume it will be a circus just because some people here may not understand how the justice system works there. It is a different country with a different culture. That makes it no better or no worse than the American system.

I have seen plenty of trials in the US and Australia turned into a joke and where justice most certainly did not happen.

I hate to admit it but I actually feel sorry for him. Don't get me wrong, I think he definately needs to be punished for what he has done to Natalee, Stephany and their families but in my opinion no one should have to live under the circumstances that they live in the prisons of Peru. I've read about it in the past few days and it's horrible.

I know, the things Joran has done over the years are also HORRIBLE but that doesn't mean he has to be treated this way. We all are so angry when we find out that Natalee and/or Stephany were raped by Joran but at the same time we're happy that he has to live maybe up to 35 years in this hell where he likely also will get raped.

This post is not directed towards any person that's posting here and it is JMOO. I know it's not a popular opinion and I hope that I do not upset anyone with this post.

md89 you have a very kind heart.:)

I feel sorry for him, too. I have no other explanation for why except he seems like a deeply disturbed young man who went off the deep end somewhere. Poor socialization.

And now this. Lose / lose for everyone.

Looks like he out on a different pair of jeans to. What about him getting coffee?

Oh and brown hair...lol

Stills from video of JVDS and Stephany entering his hotel room. Later, JVDS leaves the room alone wearing a different shirt.

BOMBSHELL TONIGHT!!

That's an awesome, find, Betty!! The subject of surveillance cameras outside his room came up and I knew I read that they were in place somewhere in all the hundreds of links I've read the past few days. Couldn't find it again to save my life.

Oh my... these are going to seal his fate.

Geez.........watching that video of that poor girl entering his room is far more disturbing to me than seeing joran paraded. Like a lamb going to slaughter. I can't imagine what her family is going through.

My question is why would she be going to his room? She's a lesbian. Doesn't look like she's inebriated and headed to party. I wonder what he said to lure her.

I've watched the video twice now, and I only see him leaving the room once when he has the striped shirt on with the back pack and duffel bag. When does he return with the two cups of coffee? :waitasec:

It was reported last night he'd invited her to his room to "celebrate her winnings" at the casino. I just wish she'd known who he is and not gone there......... MOO

I didn't see him putting Do Not Disturb sign on the door....

So is must be the clips of him going for coffee? He didn't place the "do not disturb" sign on the room.
I think what bothers me the most is the fact that he did not turn around and acknowledge Stephany AT ALL. It's like she's possessed or something and just following him in a "state of mind". I find that strange and very disturbing. WTH?

Having friends from SA (Venezuela) for many years and having traveled there myself, I learned many people in the US have quite a few misconceptions about society, culture and governments there. I agree with you, Peru is fully capable of handling this situation on their own. Their justice system, similar to the systems in Europe, is fair and open.

These aren't backwards, third world countries. We often forget Peru was home of one of the largest, most advanced civilizations of the ancient western world. It's a thriving country with a great history, no more corrupt or violent than the US.

Yeah thats what I mean, unless they have more videos of him getting the coffee...

Don't you just want to yell to her.....Don't go in Stephany..

http://www.rnw.nl/english/bulletin/stephany-flores-family-angry-netherlands

The family of Peruvian murder victim Stephany Flores is angry at the Netherlands because they have not yet been contacted by the Dutch embassy.

“Up to now, the Dutch embassy has only sent a bunch of flowers, that's all,” Ricardo Flores Vasqes, the Stephany Flores’ brother, told Radio Netherlands Worldwide.

I think, it is very nice that they send flowers. However, he has not been convicted yet so they (Dutch Embassy) really can not do anything else IMO.
I hope that the Peruvians will look for the extra feather on their collective caps. Extracting the truth on Natalee's case. Am sure that they can get expert help from local stationed CIA on water boarding techniques or local Mossad agents(still hunting for Nazis) on other methods without leaving body marks, to extract the truth from Joran.
As for Joran, better spent that monthly 30 euros stipend from Holland on vaseline LOL.

Game, set, match. The local LE said they had a "mountain of evidence" against him. Coupled with the evidence in the room, he's going to have a hard time getting out of this one.

I also recall from one of the Peruvian news media stories that the policia also had video of him driving her car/SUV away from the hotel. Can't wait til they release those photos.
