From what I've read, she didn't know about his past. Her family found out about his past after he was id'd by the casino as being with their daughter. They went home and looked up the internet and were shocked.

I agree kinda because that is what I heard...the family did not know about him and his past but can we really be sure that the victim didn't know? There really is no sure way of knowing that I would think,lol...IMO

I'm not able to keep up this weekend on everything. I'm confused as to what is going on at the moment. Crime scene, not what we heard earlier. Baseball bat...no bat. If there are some facts posted in one post or one area of a thread, could some please (purty, purty please) Pm them to me. So hard for me to avoid this site at the moment, but weekends are usually reservered for family/friend time.

My thoughts are with Stehany's family. They appear to be such good people, and handling this all so well.

Some of Stephany's friends going to be interviewed, I am so glad, we need more of her, we need to know her.

I swear I thought that the first morning after the story broke, The Today Show had an interview with one of Stephany's friends who said Stephany DID know who Joran was. [I can't even find that first thread now. Sorry.]

Some of Stephany's friends going to be interviewed, I am so glad, we need more of her, we need to know her.

I'm curious about the claim by one friend who said Stephany texted that she was "going upstairs to bed" at the time she was either in Joran's hotel room or going with him to his hotel.

Someone on this thread posited that he and she may have been using drugs or planning to use them. Perhaps she did not want her friends to know that.

Otherwise, it would seem she did not want people to know she was with him.

I am trying to get caught up so I hope I am not repeating here...IMO when the FBI made the Aruban Authorities aware of the sting, and when FBI was allowed to come to Aruba and tape the conversation about what he had done to NH and where her body was at...I think at this point it was someone within the Aruban LE either directly tipped off Joran or his Mother that it was a sting operation by the US FBI and it was at that point that he booked....If anyone was going to pull his passport it would have been Aruba and not the FBI, I think we will end up finding out that Aruba had told the FBI that they would make sure he did not leave the country and then they were able to say Oh crap we had no idea that he had left Aruba.....The NH case has been screwed up by Aruba since jump street, and now to hear the Aruban Authorities say that the case in Peru is weak, Just makes me sick....The blood of both girls and any other girl he has killed is directly on the hands of Aruban Authorities.
