He did it to scare her, to show off, and to get a reaction from her, and I bet he got a perverted thrill out of doing so.

When she got scared (the reaction he was hoping for), and, in his own words, "tried to escape", he beat her to death.

I have no doubt that Joran is the one that showed her information about Joran.

Keep in mind that it was the anniversary of Natalie's death, if she just opened it to check her email his name may have been on the front page of google and yahoo at that time.

imo she was dead when he went to get the coffee...two coffees is an attempt at supporting his bs "reflex killing" lie. its all lies.

It could be a purse that Stephany had left in the car, maybe in the trunk if she didn't want to carry it. I have done that before. He apparently drove the car the 50 blocks before he abandoned it, so he would have had access to anything in it.

I believe that between the time Stephany entered the hotel room, and the time he went for coffee, he had already beaten her to death, showered and changed his clothes.

He went for coffee to check the atmosphere of the hotel (make sure no one was acting suspiciously), and then I'll bet he went through Stephany's car, looking for what he could steal from it, and see if it would be a feasible way for him to get out of town.

He then went back to the hotel with two coffee cups as a ruse to make it appear that both of them were still alive, when in fact, only he was still alive. I'm sure he was very aware that he was being recorded by surveillance cameras.

He then went back up to the room with the two coffees to take one last look at his 'handiwork', and to gather the bloody clothes, hoping to clean up the room a bit. Once the task of 'cleaning up' proved to be too formidable, he simply gathered the items he wanted to take, and left for the last time.

(I'll bet if he had a camera- or a cell phone with a camera- he took/ would have taken a picture of her dead body- which the authorities would now have).

Anyway, I believe that Stephany was dead before he left under the ruse of 'getting coffee'.

Early, it was mentioned that a blanket from the hotel was found in her car...wonder if that was true and if so why--- and did he have it in his bags?

I'm so sorry..I'm computer illiterate...but if you google "Terror Jaap Weblog" it should take you too it...The guy is truely a moran, but his story makes alot of sense...Hope this helps....:)
 
impatient has nailed it on the head. I am 100% certain this is how the "invasion" began. Innocently checking her email on his laptop. Her email homepage pops up - and due to it being the anniversary - his name catches her eye. She clicks on the link and begins to realize he is indeed THAT Joran just as he comes back into the room.

So I was wrong, when I innitially thought this was simply a robbery gone awry, the anniversary may well have played a very significant role in Stephany's murder after all.

Have we seen the video of him going for or coming back from the coffee run?

What was he wearing, the shirt from the night before? or the shirt from when he was leaving? If it was the same shirt he left in, then she was dead before he went for coffee. No?
 
We've seen how much Joran can lie and lie and lie.

So I'm assuming this is his first lie to the Peruvian authorities.

But my question is -:waitasec: - what language was his laptop set to? Joran seems to have a rudimentary understanding of Spanish, so probably couldn't read or write it, so was his laptop in Dutch? Stephanie could read Dutch?

Right, my thinking was she seen the email that he was sending/receiving concerning the extortion. May have been what she ask him about when he returned. Heck who knows my minds racing 900 different ways thinking what could have happened.
 
Last night I mentioned that I spotted a little white image on Stephany's right side as she parked her car and when into the casino, and it is also spotted on Stephany's right side as she left the casino.

I think this little purse thingie, also had a key ring on it. She may have place the keys in her pocket leaving the little purse dangling outside of her pants pocket.

When Joran left the room in the stripe shirt, it appears to have keys in the cup of his hand as he closed the door. He probably took Stephany's keys off of this little purse when he left.

It's the white spot against her pants.

It could have been correspondence to someone "inside" the extortion game too and she ran across it. Hence, him being afraid of the info she did see.
Which to me begs another question....couldn't the FBI get inside of what he was posting on his computer?

- we are all waiting for t re-enactment outside the hotel
- a defense attorney will be by his side
- he will have to explain detail by detail what happened
- will help in indicating the charges: whether manslaughter, premeditated, other charges (kidnapping, robbery, etc.)
- authorities have told us she knew his name, and may have searched for info about him on computer when he left
- is speculation here that confession was said in way to be better for him - to mitigate his charges
- in Peru, acceptance of responsibility could lower his sentence
- for every 1x day served with good behavior>2 days credit>sentence actually cut in half

Anything is possible, but I think she googles him and there it all was .... :crazy:
