OMG...1st time I've been able to post. The site has sooo much activity! Working so I'll have to read posts from my fav sleuthers later...and make this quick!

What a slimy COWARD...using the "she MADE me do it" Defense! I wish spit could reach Peru. <----had to get that off my chest first...

From an American to Peruvian Law Enforcement...a heartfelt THANK YOU...JOB WELL DONE. It took you only days to do what Arubu hasn't be able to in 5 YEARS!
 
The Peruvian paper says the reports of Holloway's remains being found is just a rumor and may actually be old news referring to the photos a few months back that seemed to show something resembling skeletal remains under the water.

He has confessed and he will not retract it this time.

This is much higher stakes than the Aruba farce investigation.

Peru has plenty of evidence. Joran knows it.

Joran is psychopathic but he ain't stupid.

He knows he better come clean or he is going to spend the full 35 years in one of the world's worst prisons.

Maybe he thought he could disappear more effectively traveling on land through SA. If he tried to fly out, he'd have to go to the airport and surely LE alerted the airlines and airport security to look for Joran VDS.

It could be that when he went out for coffee, he was still wearing the white shirt that they found with the body. That would add to the timeline.

Really--if she found out he was a murderer and had the clear opportunity to escape the room, which she would have when he was out buying coffee, I think she would have left in a hurry! Why would she stick around waiting for an explanation?

I think even if he had the intention to forcefully rape her, he would still exhibit flirty behavior in the hallway. The lack of personal connection VDS displayed on the hotel video could be indicative of his callousness and cold-blooded disdain for women. He appeared comfortable, arrogant and remote (towards SR) once he had accomplished his goal of getting her through the hotel door. Perhaps, some acquaintance rapists display some flirtatious behavior prior to rape, but with a psychopath and/or rapist, do not believe there is any correlation between flirtatious behavior and rape. Not about our understanding of sexual attraction, how one would would behave prior to the act, etc.
 
Glad to hear that this has confessed... I have been wondering, does anyone know if the purse was Stephanys? If so, I wonder if he stole it before (earlier that night at casino) which is how he was able to lure her back to his room. He may have told her he took it as a joke...really liked her type of deal. Took it because he wanted her to hang out with him during the night. Just throwing out ideas...JMHO's
