I didn't get the impression at all that she was after him or initiated anything. It looked like to me that he was walking to the table and she was coming from another area. That is common in casino's to be playing in one area, and the person you're with is somewhere else, then meet up?

I just felt that they had been there already and the vid is not necessarily when they first arrived or met.

Also, what is he doing with his right arm under the table? It appears as he is really bent under the table with his arm.

Wow, this vid is just so sad, knowing what happens later.

The hotel had his passport and he would only get it back when he checked out. This is why he was not able to get on a plane.

He was probably thinking that instead of checking out and getting his passport, which would probably mean the hotel staff would enter the room shortly after and discover the body, he would instead just leave and go into Chile with the head start.

Just now catching up, Wings Of Light. I just wanted to comment on your post about Joran's passport.

I also believe that the hotel had Joran's passport and Peruvian LE had it in their possession when they took him into custody. That is an official means of identification.

I know that some think that seeing the passport in LE's hands in the video means that Joran had it in his possession when he was taken into custody, but I do not think that at all. I agree with you.

ETA: I have read further now and see that this appears to be discounted in the video. BUT the video was the booking and transfer of custody of Joran. Why wouldn't LE have gotten the passport from the hotel and taken it with them using it for official identification? I think they did.

Oooh thanks. Been wanting to see that for days. I noticed her hair is down at the casino.

ETA: At the 2:33 mark she had put her hair up.

The only reason I mentioned this is because of the pictures in the NE posted a page or so back.

Gosh, to me they look quite friendly!

So they walk in the exact same way, 1 second apart and sit at the same table then shake hands...that seems weird to me.

The time is all wrong on that video because everything you watched would have happened in 4 minutes and I don't think that's true. There is some missing tape there because I watched very closely and I never saw her put her hair up but at some point she did because her hair was down when she walked up to the table.

Looks to me like she's laying her money on the table to bet... IDK...

She leans over and hands JVDS something in his hand. Does she shake his hand, or hand him money or drugs... and also in front of SF place at the table - what looked like a drink in front of her, that was right in front of JVDS. She reaches over and puts the drink in front of herself.

By the way,

Marijuana stays in your system for around 30 days. Just because he tested positive does not mean that he actually used it during the time in question here. It could have been from a month before.

Cocaine stays in your system around 5 days.

I think he said in his confession that he used marijuana didn't he?

This is another fact that is unclear that is the amount that SFR won at the casino. It was reported she won US$5,000. but later it was corrected to 5,000 new soles. Even the conversion amounts I've heard mentioned, US$1,700. to 2,500., have varied. Yesterday I heard a reporter saying $5,000. U.S. again. Ugh!

I'll look up the conversion rate and post it here. Their currency is called Nuevo Sols (New Soles), not pesos. So if she won 5000 new soles it would be close to the US$1,700. amount. The conversion rate is 2.8425 USD, or 2.7345 CAN.

The other thing is, per one of the articles in the translation thread, the person who she may have won the $5000 USD from won't confirm it (it's apparently the Albanian guy) but he IS confirming how much she won earlier this month (and he gave that quantity in Peruvian Soles instead of USD)...so I think we're getting multiple numbers for multiple things in multiple currencies - which is adding to it.

This is all complicated when things are run through computer translation versus human translation, as well.

Thanks. Even so, if JVS was broke like it is being reported, either amount would be enough for him to want to rob her imo.

She is walking with her head down when she leaves the casino. Maybe that's just the way she walked. Maybe she was a bit insecure.

Yeah you're right, it's all messed up I just watched again.

I agree and she pulls something out of her pocket and takes the money out and places it on the table. The white thing on the table is the lil purse found in the hotel room, you can see her put something back inside of it then lay it on the table.

ETA: It looks like she snaps it closed instead of zipping. (This is all in the overhead shot)

The time is all wrong on that video because everything you watched would have happened in 3 minutes and I don't think that's true. There is some missing tape there because I watched very closely and I never saw her put her hair up but at some point she did because her hair was down when she walked up to the table.

IMO, they put together the video with times from various cameras covering the tape. More then likely within a 10 second span she just stuck her hair up.

Not sure if I am making sense even for myself.

Example of what I am trying to say

Camera 1 shot at 8:01
Camera 2 shot at 8:01
Camera 3 shot at 8:01
Camera 1 shot at 8:02 etc ....

So they walk in the exact same way, seconds apart and sit at the same table then shake hands...that seems weird to me.

Can't see the clock. There may have been a time lapse between shots? But you can bet the authorities know the exact times.

Another thing that might support the notion that the hotel was holding his passport is that according to a "friend" he was worried that he couldn't pay his hotel bill. Why would this worry someone like Joran? I'd think he'd just skip out without paying. But perhaps he couldn't do that because they were holding his passport. The hotel also didn't seem to be too concerned when he was behind a couple of days in paying for the room...perhaps twice. They must have had good reason to believe that he hadn't skipped out.

If he slipped her the roofie at the casino, shouldn't there be a video of that too.

If you watch the casino video, there is a drink on the table when she walks in, also she does have a small white wallet. The drink is sitting near Joran, she pulls it over after she sits down.

It looks white on the outside, but purple on the inside when she flips it open. It looks like a small wallet to me.

Ok I'm confused with his arm. Watch his left arm is under the table, the chair looks like its kicked, SF moves over and sits next to him, he brings his left arm up, and his right arm goes under the table....???

The way she is walking to the table, when she walks by those two empty tables at the begining, its almost like, "ok I've had enough"...however that might be how she normally walks. IDK

Do you guys think it is possible that they had met when he first came to town two weeks ago and maybe they had been playing together since then? That would explain better, why she had felt comfortable enough with him to go to the room? Maybe he had not made any moves towards her during that time and she let her guard down around him.

The actual time and date on that video would have been in the bottom left hand corner. You can see it briefly if you pause it betweeb 0:18-0:20 seconds
