How bout if we shift this to how a juror might view her appearance and what, if any impact will that have on her trial?

When Casey goes to trial she will be allowed to wear street clothes and make-up. I think that may tend to soften her appearance quite a bit. A juror will see a very young, pretty woman. What will influence a juror will be her demeanor..........is she paying attention to what's going on in the courtroom, does she react appropriately to what is said, does she exhibit emotions, etc. If Casey remains mute and emotionless, it will likely not work in her favor.

I do think she's gained a few pounds since she's been incarcerated. Her rested appearance may be due to the stability of her situation. She's no longer burning the candle at both ends. She's now in a stable setting where every day is the same as the day before.

When I saw KC in court the last time,I thought she looked very different in my opinion. She looked like every 22 yr. old,youthful looking,healthy and cute. I found myself thinking:"My god,what could have gone so wrong in this young girls' life,for it to come to this?" I almost felt sorry for her.

Then I thought:"My god,I hope a jury isn't swayed by her new "innocent" look. I know I almost was.

But I slapped myself out of it. LOL!

The characteristics I noticed between the 2 photos was she was less appeared less adrenlin wild eyed but more of a vacant uninterested look. The weight gain for now looks healthier, but if she keeps eating like she is we will see another look in about 6 wks. The many faces of KC will probably be published in the psychiatri cjournals showing physical changes during incarceration. Her look in court told me she has resigned herself to being guilty and is letting everyone around her direct the show! at whatever emotional or fianacial cost.

If I were on the jury:

I thought KC initially appeared very resentful at having been summoned (though for the life of me I can not relate to another mother who would not be interested in attending any hearing about her kidnapped and murdered child). There were looks she gave toward the stand when swearing in that I perceived as defiant, like when the judge asked her to verbally admit she authorized JB to waive her appearance at the hearing. KC raised her eyebrows and blinked hard as she said "Yes". It was as if to me she were telling the judge, "I even f*&%^ told your deputies I didn't want to be here - you brought me in here for this!?"

When forced to stay KC appeared zoned out to me. This seemed to me that she was trying to either mentally escape the room or was too disinterested in the subject on Caylee to care. I also noticed the smile KC gave JB as she met his eyes. It indicated to me that KC expects JB is going to save her. She completely trusts him, but writes-off or resents everyone else in the room.

Seeing ca pictured in court, immediately made me think of the devil, with the pointed ear and nose.


Casey is a murderer, not the devil in blue dress. When I look at her I see a very pretty young lady that has resolved herself to her fate.She knows, she will be spending a lot of time in court, and many years in jail if she is convicted. She has a defiant, look as if to say" It is the states responsibility, to prove I'm guilty,'' but until they do, I will just sit her and look calm, I want them to know I would'nt hurt a fly" (psyco)

Back to her looks and how they might affect a jury.

A professional will be hired to coach this transformation. It will be done. Along with 'they pounced and overcharged a poor girl with no income, along with all the overcharging simply because they could'. It will be done. All of the prowess of a professional will be used for the Casey Anthony defense. That we have already seen forming. It is not wishful thinking for anyone - just fact. No one has to play fair here - neither side.

For instance- I was zooming past the tv and Bill O'Reilly had this real cute and sweet looking girl on his show. I asked the husband who that was sitting there in a cute little Sunday school dress. He said Jenna Jameson. I nearly passed out.

Anything is possible.

how can that be that she looks so much softer and less harsh and relaxed after being in jail for 3 months. I think I would look like I was about 5 minutes from deaths door. Finding out they found the remains of you baby now everyone knows she really is gone forever. She looks way better than most people would IMO.

We tried this yesterday and the discussion turned ugly and insulting regarding her appearance. I personally cannot think of any reason to discuss her physical appearance and how it relates to this case. Having said that go ahead and we'll see what the relevance is and how this can be a constructive discussion.


ETA: How will her appearance affect jurors and the outcome of this trial if at all?

What's interesting is, if she continues with the appearance change and her lawyers put her in a flowered dress with a sweater, by the time trial rolls around, she'll be looking like a sunday school teacher.

I think when the state puts on their case and they show pictures of Casey arm in arm with Tony renting videos right after she killed Caylee or the pictures of her partying hardy at Fusion or when they are showed the crime scene photos of poor little Caylee's skeleton strewn all over the woods that will trump whatever feeling the jurors might have had in her innocent look at trial.

The added weight rounded her face a little, got rid of the hard angles. Made her look more kind. But I know what you mean, I would be sobbing, not as stoic as she is.

I somehow believe that Jose Baez has reassured Casey that she will be out of jail and back at home. It is so very obvious by Casey's" adoring looks" towards Baez in the court room that he is now her 'knight in shining armour'.
She is under a false illusion that everything will be alright and that he (Baez) will save her from all of this.
And I believe that because of these false illusions, Casey is without worries or concerns. She has been given a new lease on life, compliments of Jose and his Dream Team.
Couple this with the fact that she is on a schedule of 3 meals a day, no late night parties and she has a renewed appearence.
It sounds crazy of course, but I really think Casey is just that deluded as to think she will be getting away with murder.

I agree with you. I have noticed the adoring looks she gives to Jose Baez too. I definitely think she is enamored with him. He may have some sympathy for her and that's what narcissists love... to have someone aid in propping up their image of themselves in some way. By the list of products she is buying on her commissary (i.e. conditioner, cocoa butter, makeup items, etc.) she is definitely trying to keep her physical appearance going while in protective custody in jail uniform and shackles, spending 23 hours day in a jail cell awaiting trial for murder. The idea of going away for life does not seem to bother her in the least. Her appearance has definitely changed and for the better. Perhaps keeping her distance from her family for months has helped with her physical appearance. Not having to keep her spin of lies going with them is a weight off of her mentally. Having the whereabouts of Caylee out in the open may just be a weight off of her right now as well. Now her parents won't be questioning her so much about where the child could be. She may be thinking that her parents can have closure and will eventually forgive her. In the meantime, she has no kid and she's alone in a cell and others (who notice her on TV) are either finding her attractive or feeling sorry for her - or both (because they are sending her money in her commissary)...so she's going to keep up her "beauty." (Me - I say Karma is a $%#@%).

There's nothing like a little jailtime to make one look better. All she has to do at this point is eat, sleep and read. Of course she looks rested!

It's like being on vacation, except there's nothing to do.
