eta: he knows his semen-shedding-a$$ is toast. what does he have to lose now in telling what else he did as he will, until the end of his pathetic excuse for a life, be in a cage. I think he knows his time is up. perhaps LE said that any "compassion" he showed in helping find Amber could help his sentencing?

Well this definitely can't be related to JaG, he would have been like 10 years old at the time.... If the person who was responsible for this babies murder was never caught what if he is responsible for Amber as well and not JaG...... I'm just saying we don't need to have tunnel vision in this, especially since another child was found kidnapped and killed in the same location. MOO

If he didn't know it then he could have simply said he didn't know it. He said the lead did not come from Gardner so I presume he knows who it came from, or at the very least that it didn't come from Gardner. By the way he obviously would know more than the public, and I would bet LE tells him more than the public.

It is still too much of a coincidence that Amber was found shortly after JAG was arrested IMO. I just wonder if maybe another person was involved in her murder and this second person was afraid JAG would talk in a plea deal and throw him under the bus as the murderer.

IMO, one of JAG's relatives/friends was the person who gave the tip. They probably knew he went there to gamble and such and remembered or looked it up on the net that the dogs trailed Amber's scent to the Pala Library... After that, they probably felt something was off -maybe even knew he went on some hiking/camping trip?

Maybe it is a separate killer -and Leticia Hernandez' killer is responsible. Or perhaps a coincidence and JAG is the killer. If he was ten when LH's body was found -and he saw the case on the news -maybe it stuck with him... gave him the idea to drop Amber there -or hide Amber there, thinking he would get away with it -having people think it was LH's killer. And as far fetched as it may seem -a ten yr old boy certainly could lure and murder a 7yr old girl, say while his parent/s or grandparents gambled -although I doubt he is responsible for LH's murder. Who knows... maybe he learned this all from someone close to him -witnessed something and took a liking to it. It's all creepy and horrible. I find it hard to believe a witness would come forward about Amber now -unless
A. they believe he killed her, because of the Chelsea case -and were afraid to tell before or had doubts about it
or
B. they want to pin this on him. but why? she hadn't been found this whole time. unless, they knew that there was a more progressive search on the way.

He doesn't think the person is JAG. I wonder if police would tell the family who the suspect is or isn't?

I think the SD area LE was badly stung and learned a great deal from the Danielle Van Dam case and the prosecution of David Westerfield. If DW ever has a new trial, it will probably be because of the leaks to the press and the influence that that might have had on prospective jurors.

Personally, I would rather not know and insure a good prosecution.

Although possible I really don't think so. The terrain in this area is such that even with a tip that gave a general description or even "she's off arouba road" would not lead them to her. It would be like finding a needle in a haystack. IMHO, the tipster had to take them there or give them a precise location. The fact that they said yesterday they would hold a presser today with more details indicates to me they were waiting for the courts to open to get an arrest warrant or something along those lines. That indicates to me it is someone other than JAG, possibily someone on the reservation or a juvenile.

I agree. I can't see why he would tell them where she was when he pleaded not guilty to Chelsea's murder. But I can't see someone finding her in such a remote area. And I can't stand to think someone knew and e locationdidn't tell until now, that is why I posted earlier that I felt like he told. I believe they must have found something with Chelsea that pointed to JAG being responsible for Amber's disappearance. Maybe her parents told the police they suspected him. I don't know it just seemed odd because it appeared before that they were treating Amber's disappearance as a runaway. But as soon as Chelsea was discovered they began looking at JAG for Amber's disapearance. I guess I am really on the fence about this. I just can't see him telling but the chance of someone just finding her`in such a remote location and so soon after arresting JAG and them finding Chelsea is just too much coincidence to me. And I really hate the thought of someone knowing and not telling.

According to reports, someone knew and someone told. Whether it was a perpetrator other than JG or someone JG told where he left the body, we don't know. It could also be someone on the reservation who had seen remains but did not report them.

Sad to say, but I think many cases involve peripheral individuals who know more than they tell LE.

I am certain the the DuBois family told LE that they suspected JG; the fact that the family has investigated him has been in the media. So unless LE doesn't read the papers, they had to know.

Who gave the tip? LE says not JAG. My first thought is it came from JAG indirectly with permission - via his lawyer or relative.

It not from JAG, are there TWO killer out there? I don't want to believe so, but certainly possible. But it's a good time to tip if you are another killer. If there is another killer in the area on the loose, LE does not seem to be too concerned on issuing warnings.

A friend / coconspirator of JAG? Could be. Now that JAG is in jail for awhile, the timing is right.

I'm going to go with the guess that the tip is from JAG.

I agree that Gardner had no motive at this point to cooperate w/LE. They have not as far as I know indicated if they will seek the death penalty, have they? And it generally takes these offenders years to admit to another crime and help LE and only if there is something in it for them.
Also, if he indeed is the type to not accept responisbility for his actions as past psychistric pros have indicated, he is not going to quickly give in.
I do not know what to believe about whether or not he will end up being the one who killed Amber but I am pretty sure he did not point LE to this place and if someone else did and it is truly that remote, I don't see how LE gets there unless the informer had been there too.

I have a feeling the tip came from a relative of his. The one relative on the John & Ken show hinted that he thought Jag could be connected to Amber's disappearance. Maybe mom knew he had some connection to the area. If the body was on a private road, I wonder who owns the property.

Police now knowing that he kills and ditches the body in a very shallow grave, moments after an attack. Could now go back to feb 13th and apply a few search formulas. Where was he that morning and what vehicals did he have access too? Most cars with even the simplest gps reconnect to the gps positioning satalites every time you turn off the engine and restart the car. And if he was driving a construction fleet vehical (construction near her school) that keeps an eloborate record of were it is how fast its going where it pause or stops for bussiness pourpouses the history is stored and archived. Compare that to her cell phone pings that morning and heck even his cell phone pings from that morning. This area is so remote there are very few roads he could have been on in those first few hours she dissapeared. Lenght of time+gps location or cell pings+rural areas with few roads + his stanima and kill pattern = just a few spots to walk out some cadaver dogs and see what pops up. Not to mention that the fbi can get phone records, on star info and other state and local tips and records at lightning speed and have technicians and diagnotic tools and data systems and specialists on speed dial. And as for an arrest warrant they wouldn't need to wait for court to open up judges get calls in the middle of the night and le can arrest anyone for anything at almost anytime on suspision alone. Habeas corpus means they hjave x time to drap your carcas and any prelim evidence they have infront of a judge and say this is why we think he's guilty, and the judge decides if there is enough to keep you and decides your bail and etc.
