i heard the ga interview where he says please call me I dont want to believe that i have made someone who could do this but if it is please call me so i can prepare my wife becasue she will kill casey

bold,me

Actually, George said, "Please call me so I can prepare my wife because it's going to kill HER".
This was the interview with Detectives YM and JA on July 24.
Pages 1736 and 1737.

Ok...I've read the thread, bit my lip a few times and thought a lot about this situation with GA. I agree with a lot that's been said and I disagree with a lot that has been said. I don't have to work to hard to imagine the psychological pathology that this man has developed after spending years being married to a domineering wife, putting up with his lying daughter, being the first one to realize that something was horribly wrong when he picked the car up, knowing that his daughter killed the one person in his life that loved him unconditionally, the lying and coverup that insued at his wife's insistence, the thought that they will probably be arrested for OJ, etc.

This has been building up in GA for quite a while. Some of it long before KC killed Caylee. His coping mechanisms have been to go along with the flow and not make waves, being a yes man to his wife and daughter, dabbling in gambling and other things. His one little refuge of sanity was Caylee. He could be JoJo, grandpa, he could pull her around the neighborhood in a red wagon, she never judged him or belittled him, she just loved him.

His daughter took that away from him. He knew the minute he opened up that car door at the tow yard that Caylee was dead and that KC was more than likely the killer. His interviews with LE and FBI are very interesting. He knows he's being recorded, he knows what he says will be played on TV or the very least at court, he knows CA will hear exactly everything he says. He's trying to say so much to LE without really coming out and saying it because he knows, if he does, there will be a volcanic eruption at home.

George falls back on his coping mechanism of just going along with the flow, agreeing with CA, not making any waves, kissing everyone's patootie. This seems to work on the exterior but all you have to do is look into his eyes, he knows the truth, he wants to tell the truth, he cannot come out and say it and keep what's left of his world intact.

George reached his breaking point shortly after this last doc dump. I'm just guessing here but I would imagine it was the heart sticker. As upset as it made us here, imagine George's thought process when he hears this and he knows exactly what sticker sheet that sticker came off of. There's no hiding it now, he knows he cannot stand the lies any more. George makes a plan.

Being ex-LE, George is probably a little familiar with the mental health laws that all states have. They might differ a little from state to state but they are essentially the same. George knows if he can make a break away from the toxicity that is the Anthony family right now, he might have a chance to start an heal. He knows he can at least get 72 hrs away from them. He leaves, checks into the seedy motel, starts texting suicidal intentions, has a couple of beers, sits back and waits for LE to find him. Probably flushes his sleeping pills down the toilet cause he doesn't really want to kill himself, he just wants help getting through all of this and help getting away from the toxic family.

The Anthony ship hit an iceberg last July and has been slowly sinking ever since. KC, CA and LA aren't even willing to admit the ship hit an iceberg. George knows the ship is going to sink. Even though he stays way too long, he finally is able to jump overboard into a lifeboat called "The Baker Act". I really think you will see George come out of the hospital a changed man. I think he will stand up for truth and justice for Caylee. He has wanted to all along but has just now freed himself from the incumberances that kept him on that sinking ship of lies.

My opinion as always.

Incredible Post!

I totally agree countzero, I think she may not have known EVERYTHING when the 911 calls were made, but she probably already had an idea, with the lies and the smell of the car. The Anthonys attitude changed dramatically when she was released on bond. Their whole demenor changed. That was when the major covering for Casey started. George has been the most showing in how he says one thing but you know just by watching him that he does not believe what he is saying. The most telling for me was the Larry King show the night before Caylees remains were found when he was asked his professional opinion on the smell. He answered word for word what he had been told to say by Cindy but he would not even look up while he was saying it. If and I say IF any one of them decides to stop the lies and let Casey take responsibility for what she has done...it will be George. You can tell this has really taken a toll on him. I just hope he takes this time alone away from Cindy to realize that at least one of them need to stand up for Caylee.

And I was in the process of agreeing with your recent post.

GA has moral issues he is dealing with. After a person has gone through enough interactions with a toxic personality, strength can be found. Apparently GA found that strength by attempting suicide. I won't debate whether he intended to actually do it. The indications are he wants help sorting his moral issues. An independent party who can guide him, not make demands upon him to say what to say.

It took 57 years to mold him to way he was. It will take many months and years to repair the hurt inflicting upon him by his self as well as others to find the skin/place HE will be comfortable. Where he can sleep at night, soundly, without nightmares.

Continued prayers and thoughts for GA today for the healing of his mind and soul.

Excellent, well thought out post. Thank you, ecs, for taking the time to put it all so eloquently.

Wonderful post. Just to add an exclamation point that I've posted a couple other places:

While I do have sympathy for GA, I really don't think it's fair to blame everyone in the family and let him skate scott-free. Being a "yes" man and "dabbling" in gambling? A person isn't "dabbling" when they lose the amount of money he is rumored to have lost. We still don't know the whole story regarding the A's history. Is it okay for him to sit back and let Casey do whatever she liked and let CA deal with it? I'm not trying to be snarky, I guess I just have a problem with the "poor little mistreated GA" theory. He's a grown man, not to mention an ex-LE officer and he's "going with the flow to avoid making waves"? I believe there were two people steering the ship. If his life was so awful, what stopped him from walking?

Thanks, JWG and others that have posted comments. I really do think this picture sums it all up pretty well.

I was vacationing with my parents and friends in Celebration when the news broke about George. Almost immediately I gave them the same scenario you just posted. Two people thought I was wayyy off base, and one person agreed with me. Although - I included the idea that George also was doing this to give his daughter a little nudge towards confessing.

Excellent post.

Has anyone heard yet if George was released or transferred to a different facility today?

Nothing yet. As I understand the latest, he was to be released from a Daytona hospital today so he can be transferred to Orlando and a hospital closer to home.

That is SO sick. Wow. :shakehead:

That is so sad and sick. Shows why some things shouldn't be reported. Like maybe this should have been reported. Cause now, some sick folks who hadn't thought of it yet, will also be doing it.

Like the protestors. The media made it a big deal, then folks started coming to be on TV. Not the same thing as the orginal protestors. Media reporting is a catch 22, i guess. We need it, but, well..

Here is the latest and it looks like GA is asking to stay at the hospital and will be there for the weekend according to WFTV. It doesn't say if CA visited him at all. I know BC has been there.:

"5 p.m. George Anthony remains hospitalized today in Daytona Beach, said his attorney Brad Conway. Anthony is choosing to stay in the hospital while Conway tries to find a treatment center closer to home. Conway also said the family is still waiting for the defense team to release Caylee's remains before memorial plans are made. Her remains could possibly be turned over to the family as early as next week."

I second that. I do understand that he's lost his granddaughter and probably Casey too and I have only a tiny inkling of the depths of misery he's in. But we don't really know what went on inside the home and I really find it hard to believe that a guy his age with the LE experience and the kind of temper he's displayed is just allowing his wife and daughter to walk all over him.

I wonder exactly what is meant when they say George his choosing to stay in the hospital. It's not like it's a hotel, people aren't given a choice of staying unless it's medically necessary.

I thought the defense was going to release the remains as soon as last week, now it's next week. It's no wonder George is struggling.

I think what he meant is they gave GA the choice to leave or not. Maybe George feels he isnt ready yet. I give him kudo's for doing whats best for him:)

I second your kudos. Apparently the doctors feel he still needs hospitalization or he wouldn't be given a choice. Health insurance nowadays sends a person home whether they're ready to go our not, unless the doctors can convince them otherwise.

I am sorry that GA was so distressed and has required hospitalization. Knowing how hospitals get folks out the door asap, his situation must be serious indeed.

However, it seems to me that responsibility has become the "hot potato" in this family. GA is not responsible for any lies, mistruths, etc because he was henpecked by CA. CA is not responsible because she has been manipulated by KC. LA is not responsible because he has been maniupulated by KC and controlled by CA. KC, in turn, has issues because CA was a helicopter parent and GA didn't stand up to CA. Who then was the grownup on Hope Spring Drive ?

I am so relieved that he has chosen to isolate and center himself. I pray that he will see the difference between KC and Caylee.
