Based on Foreigner's excellent research MP's birth date is July 5, 1969.

That means on May 1, 2010 he was 41 years of age and today he is 43.

Thanks

I have obsessed over MP for quite some time on this site.

One of my reasons to focus on MP, was the fact that it appeared to me that he had disappeared.

Since my last post I have received information that MP has been in communication with people involved in the case. To me that brings a certain sense of relief.

I do not know the nature of these conversations nor what MP disclosed if anything.

I still believe MP knows a lot more about the events leading to the death of SG than has been publicly disclosed.

As time goes by, I also am beginning to sense there are reasons SCPD does not want this case to solved and therefore from their point of view no need to press MP for information or charge MP with any crime.

I think MP's only concern for SG was for money. Once she was gone, he had no ties to her emotionally, so it was easy for him to move on. If he didn't know the names of the others in JBs house (or never saw anyone else) it would be harder to accuse whoever was there besides JB. I think he didn't stick around because he didn't want to get in trouble for promoting prostitution, and not because he did anything wrong.

That is a quote from the attached PDF. IMO, that speaks volumes. JB didn't expect her to have a driver with her, nor did anyone else in JBs house at the time.

From the timeline of her phone calls, we know she didn't arrive, act strangely, and then just take off. She was there much longer than that description is meant to lead you to believe. Whatever happened in that house between the time she got there and her 911 call leaves MP out of the POI pool, IMO. Would she have been frantically calling him if he was sitting in the house, or just outside? I tend to doubt that.

Another thought on the same note... If you believe SG was a victim of the LISK (as I do), the fact she had a driver may have been his first "mistake". Until that night, the LISK had gotten away with convincing the other victims to go alone, not say who they were going with or where and some didn't even bring a phone. Just bringing a driver would set the previously "fool proof plan" in a tail spin. If the LISK had it in his mind that was the night he was going to take a victim's life, it may have been hard to avert from that plan. Between JB and CPH, the connection to LE is there enough that normal protocol wasn't followed, putting those first on scene, and the ones searching (or at least claiming to search) on the hot seat. It's too bad egos are getting in the way of naming a suspect to prosecute him.

MP claims he was sitting in front of JB's house the whole time. I never considered that could be a false statement by MP, until you bring out the point that SG called MP numerous times when he was supposedly just outside. Why did she not just leave JB's house and get back in the car with MP?

All along I believed that something in JB's house scared her, and it also made her fear MP, which is why she ran away from MP.

This is pure speculation but, what if MP left JB's house sometime after he dropped SG off, as he knew he would not be needed anymore.

SG gets scared and wants MP to take her away from JB. SG realizes MP because he is not in front of JB"s house, is part of the plan to do her in, and SG becomes terrified of MP now. When MP returns to JB's house, SG will not go with MP and runs away.

Sometime while SG was in JB's house she became sure that she could not trust MP, and all her actions that night were to avoid MP.

What did she learn that would turn on her trusted driver and friend?

The more I study this case, the more questions I have for MP.

My speculation is similar until the point MP comes in. I would agree that JB may have said that MP brought her there knowing she wouldn't leave alive (again, speculating), whether or not that was true or what really happened is up for debate. Whatever was said made her fear MP, that I'll give you. I just don't believe MP was part of the plan or SG's demise, hence the statement JB made.

IIRC, Pak didn't claim he sat right outside JB's home. I think there was one report that said he was right outside the gate playing games.

The video in the following link, third picutre down on left side entitled "Shannan Gilbert's Disappearance: A Timeline" has an interview with PB's neighbor across the street from his house saying Pak was parked in front of the house, not down the street outside the gate. How long he was parked there she doesn't say. But wouldn't Gus have noticed the car if Pak had been parked outside the gate all that time?

The interview with the neighbor is about half way through the video.

The story changed...the first reports said he was outside the gate. Then came word that he was supposedly parked in front of JB's house.

It's possible there was more than one dark SUV there that night. JB had one too. It is also possible he was outside the gate, JB and SG went down to the gate to negotiate something with MP and then gave him access to drive up to the house where there would be more privacy.

Escorts won't make frequent trips back an forth from their transport because it raises suspicion. One of the things their clients pay them for is to be discrete, and that isn't being discrete. The client would probably get twitchy if they repeatedly left, and refuse to let them back in. For a client, that sort of behaviour is a huge red flag.

If she wanted to communicate with her driver for whatever reason, the logical thing for her to have done is call him on the phone, even if he was parked out on the street. That is what most escorts would do, and that is apparently what she did. There is nothing sinister in that.

Not a logical thing for you to do, but an escort would see it differently.

Tugela, you are right, escorts do not make trips, frequent or otherwise back to their driver's vehicle. They do not repeatedly call the drivers either. It ruins the sexual mystique for the customer. The john pays for the girls time, he expects exclusivity.

SG's behavior leads one to believe that something unusual was occurring. When the phone calls to MP are followed by calls to 911 obviously something sinister was happening. Escorts do not call 911.

Imagine SG sees something that spooks her at JB's. She calls MP, being aware of what is going on, he tries to reassure her. She realizes that MP is not in front of JB's home. She now understands that MP is part of the activity that is scaring her. SG calls 911. Returning MP comes into JB's house and SG refuses to go with MP.

There were several "one minute" calls to MP. No one has confirmed whether those calls went through or to voice mail. MP said he slept off & on. If SG couldn't get him to answer then she would have become concerned and continued to call until he answered.

The more I learn, the less I know, that is why I want MP to give a full and detailed account of the activity that night.

1) Did MP spend the whole time parked outside JB's house? We know he was their for a while.

2) If he left where did he go?

3 Did he fall asleep and miss calls from SG?

4) What was the reasons for SG's call?

5) What was MP's response to those calls?

6) Did MP know JB prior to that night?

7) Did MP know CPH prior to that night?

I think if LE is not going to charge MP with any crimes, and if LE does not think MP is involved with SG's death, they should give him immunity and ask him to answer these and other questions.

If as some believe, MP is innocent of any wrong doing, I believe he has information that, he may not be aware of, that could be crucial to solving this case. If he genuinely cared about SG as he has claimed he should come forward and disclose everything.

Why is MP not taking a more active role in the investigation of his friend and business partner's death?

I am not familiar with the Grand Jury system in New York, but I believe a Grand Jury could get some real answers from those involved in this case.

As far as I can tell from what's been released (which is beyond bare minimum), he has been forthcoming to LE.

More likely the date was going on longer than planned. Escorts are usually booked for a specific period of time, but if the client wanted to extend the session it would create a problem since SG's security (MP) would have been expecting her to leave at a specific time. So, she would have had to call him to let him know, otherwise he might have come kicking the door down. Maybe he wasnt too happy about having to wait around longer or whatever. So there could have been a back and forth bickering. Also, he might simply have not been answering the phone (asleep, no signal, whatever) and that may have been what the trigger for freaking her out.

Under the circumstances her calling him would not be that odd, but it was probably the start of her freaking out. You are assuming that was something the client was doing, but it just as easily could have been her becoming irrational.

The longer she was with JB the more money MP would have made. From what I understand, it's common to try to extend the time with the client. So, from that perspective it's easy money for the driver. He naps and plays poker on his phone while she earns the agreed upon fee (plus maybe more). JMO

5 AM (ca)...
Gilbert's client phoned him at about 5AM saying Gilbert was refusing to leave the house

The driver said he drove back to the client's house and found Gilbert, who was clothed, in the living room on the phone with a 911 operator, saying that a man was after her.

highlighted one portion in red I missed before
"a man was after her" - meaning singular as opposed to "they're" trying to kill me.
