I voted DP but after reading the posts here am sort of on the DP/ LWOP fence now.
Because while I agree LWOP would be a horrible, horrible thing to have to face,for a NORMAL person, I also believe Casey is so NOT NORMAL and mentally twisted that she has already adjusted to life in jail, even on 23 hour lockdown, she has carved out a new (albeit NOT bella vita LOL) life for herself in there.
Content to 1 hr of TV or shower time daily, content to spend her days, right now, supposedly hashing through Baez's notes and making her own, organizing for Baez, for the hearings and upcoming trial,etc. The little legal assistant that she thinks she is.
Content to eat whatever it is they are serving- (but all the morons out there who send her money have made it easy for her to just keep a stockpile of snacks at hand at all times to fill her up till next meal time.) Once she is sent to prison, she will be happy to see the selection from her commissary account will be much broader than the county jails selection. Things like radios and even little TV's can be purchased there.
Content to hold the title of Most Hated Female in America, and to hold the distinction of the female that has been locked up there the longest. Almost a jail rock star.
She's content, for now, that she doesn't have to talk face to face with her parents. Once she goes to trial and is sentenced and is in prison, I wonder what excuse she will use to George and Cindy (and maybe even Lee) as to why she wants no visits from them. She can't continue to be a beotch and snub them once shes in prison, because that might stop any money that might be coming her way from George and Cindy. Then there is always the young men that profess love for her and correspond with her, and send her money here and there, and the 35 year old dudes who still live in their mothers basement who will be sending her $25 every month like clockwork. Those all add up!!!
Maybe shes content to spending the larger part of her day locked up and replying to all the guys (and some girls too) who write her. Maybe Casey is stringing each one of them along telling them they are "the only one". Jeez, she would be in bella vita AND nirvana if she were able to devote most of her day to lying, spinning wild stories about herself, conning them out of money, while vowing to them she writes to no one else. She would probably tell herself that it was the same as being 'employed', in fact she could even go so far as to say to herself that she is 'SELF employed'. Yes, she will be more than content creating other personalities all day.
What about the lack of heterosexual intimate relations cos she's locked up? Well I can easily imagine her turning up pregnat in prison in the future. Oopsie. Maybe Casey will be happy to be pregnant in prison, have the baby and give custody of it to George and Cindy. You know, to make up for the first one which didn't work out. Hey- that would be a two-fer cos Cindy could turn around and get the baby plus sue the prison for Casey's getting pregnant in the first place. Another payday for Cindy! Cha-Ching! She will never stop making money off her dead grand daughters memory.
Oh I am just speculating that's all.
I would be for LWOP for sure about now, but I feel Casey is happily institutionalized already. She doesn't ever have to worry about working again. Not that she every really did.
Her basic needs are met for her.
She might even enjoy the routines and rules of day-to-day prison life. And after all, "Rules are made to be broken!", right? She will make a game of skirting the rules and seeing what trivial stuff she can get away with. When you have LWOP what's the worst they can do to you if you get caught? Add to your time???? LOL. Casey will love the cat-and-mouse with the corrections officers, especially the male ones.
