Again, according to Gus this woman was running, screaming for help and being chased by a man. That's no fight or argument bud. When the police showed up what happened? Did they follow the correct procedure? Did Hackett's copper neighbor get involved?

Nobody says a "home for wayward girls". It sounds like something from the Victorian era. I truly believe it was a misunderstanding or what we call a "found memory". Could also be something pushed upon her by a shyster lawyer.

To be clear, I am not saying she did not love or care for her kids but she definitely exploited certain situations and did not always put her children before her own needs.

Only Mari and CPH know what was said on that call. Adding details later doesn't mean that any of the details, new or old, are inaccurate. And CPH lied about calling Mari and had no business calling Mari. He added details later, too, when caught in a lie. So why was the lawsuit bogus? I'd go that route, too, or whatever route I could, to get justice for my child.

Another LI serial killer (tho apparently not THE LISK) has been connected to exactly that -- a home for wayward girls. Yeah, it's Victorian phrasing but of course such places still exist, for unmarried pregnant women. Or halfway houses or private rehabs.

It's not pretty but sex workers ARE indeed transients that frequently have substance abuse problems and work with a host of made up names. They do move around and they do go off the radar screen by choice.

Lynn Barthelemy daughter MB was an escort that went missing in the Bx. Lynn wanted to file a missing persons report. They refused because she was an escort. Do you agree with them? A mother was denied. Do you agree with that? It took knowing someone in high places to get it done. It that the way it suppose to be?

Not placing importance on the vulnerable or down-trodden is why serial killers like Willy Pickton are able to continue for years on their murderous path. It is also why the RCMP formed formed the HRMPP (High Risk Missing Persons Project, precursor to Alberta's Project KARE), because they learned from the mistakes made by Vancouver PD in the Pickton case.
